We've just had a coupon code from Expedia, $100 off when you book for 3 night minimum stay.
This coupon is compatible with MBC's 6% Expedia cashback too.
Conditions apply, obviously.
Steve.

Steve.
It does not work for me.
Travel Period:The travel dates must be between 12.01am (AEDST), 11.06.2011 and 11:59pm (AEDST), 30.11.2011.
When will it expire? Thanks.
Voucher Code Redemption Period:: 12.01am (AEDST), 10.05.2011 to 11:59pm (AEDST), 12.05.2011.
I tried to book for a small London hotel in September for 5 nights but it didn't work for me. Comes up with an error message saying "We're sorry, but our records show that this coupon has already been used."
I can't get this to work Ive tryed a number of places and I'm loged in, mostly I get this "We're sorry, but our records show that this coupon has already been used." OR this "This purchase does not meet the advanced booking restrictions of the selected coupon. For more information, please refer to the coupon rules."
I tried too without success. I contacted expedia and was told that booking minimum is $600. Not in T&C's. They apologised and said T&C's will be updated.
wow $600 minimum - thats kind of an important condition to leave out of T&Cs?!?!?!
Where did you see the $600 minimum? I know it's kinda too good to be true :)
Yup, the terms and conditions on the website state .. $600 spend minimum.. ouch
Called up Expedia and they said that they are working off US time, so the code should be working by tomorrow, even though the website explicitly mentions it is based of Aus time zones (12.01am AEDST).
Rewriting Terms and Conditions = lame.
edit: Nothing against Steve, but that is unfair of Expedia to change the T&C after the promotion is live on the web for viewing.
I'll positive vote this still. $600 min for 3 nights to get $100 off is reasonable.
You can't expect expedia to give free accomodation out. There are plenty of accomodation in 3rd world countries like Vietnam that have discounted accomodation for $30 a night. With this code it would mean free accomodation. They have to run a business still. The fact that they allow you to use the code on "special offers" is really attractive.
Great find Steve!
Of course I dont expect expedia to give out free accomodation. But i would have expected them to draft up their t&cs properly when they thought up of this promotion rather than add conditions on the fly - especially when a minimum spend is kind of an important condition.
I think this was bordering on bait advertising - since the coupon never worked on any of the hotels I was looking at although all the conditions were satisfied until they added to extra minimum spend term (would be interesting to see if any of the people who voted this positive got this to work).. Their system could have had the $600 minimum in place for this coupon but was left out of the T&Cs which could be seen merely as a ploy for us to get onto expedia website on the belief that the coupon would work since all conditions were satisfied…
Has anyone managed to get this to work yet?
It's working now. Sweet deal
bait. naughty expedia
Agreed, Re-working their T&C's on the fly like that is a no-no.
Damn. Just booked over 3 weeks in USA.. what a time to miss out :*(
I was able to apply the voucher code last night and saved the itinerary, but then when I want to pay this morning, the $100 is removed !!!
hmm…i think even if you can apply the code and save the itinerary, it doesn't guarantee the booking will be successful. I've tried last night by applying the code, everything went well until the last step, "We're sorry, but our records show that this coupon has already been used." appeared :( And when I tried again this morning, I couldn't even apply the code.
Will be trying it tomorrow once my debit credit card is toppped up! Booking a hotel in Boston and $100 off would be just awesome. Let you guys know =)
Worked!! $100 off!! Thanks Steve!
Quite good.
Part of T&c
