  • Not negging your deal I like Bosch tools too, I have mostly all my corded tools bosch green and I actually bought a Bosch Blue angle grinder just today. I've had similar (older) bosch cordless drill, killed
it by dropping battery from only waist height (new one was too expensive) so then I bought a Stanley FatMax set for cheap when Masters was closing down. That was a piece of crap so then I got a Dewalt drill/impact driver kit with 2x2.5ah from Sydney Tools for $299. Hands down that eats the crap out of anything else I've used, more torque, better feel triggers/switches etc, longer battery life even though I only got 2.5ah.

    • +1

I still can't get over them having separate Green and Blue batteries. Makes everything more complicated and obviously puts a barrier to people moving up to Blue, or maybe doing just some home jobs don't need the Blue for that but oh you only have Blue batteries…

Then forever they until only now only had upto 1.5AH on the Greens it was a joke. That's why I posted specifically this deal though because they have the 2.5AH batteries which I would recommend.

I also really dislike the current "Green design" everything just too rounded, looks almost like toys.. I try not to be sexist? but they look like for women, I wouldn't want a bloke seeing me using half the new Green stuff.

    • I replaced my Bosch green drill, which I think was an older model of the one in this post, with a DeWalt and I've never looked back. The Bosch stalled (over-current cut out) far too easily, 2Ah batteries are useless for anything beyond minor tinkering and the plastic chuck is easily damaged. The DeWalt will break bits before it stalls, 6Ah battery lasts a full day (except masonry) and has a metal chuck so it doesn't get wrecked if you don't treat it like the prized poodle at all times.

I'd go DeWalt or the Ozito PowerX gear instead of this, better value for money.

  • Too much for a very entry level drill, in my opinion.

    • Not like won't last.. My green stuff still all working fine 5+ years on.
