The Ozito version sells for $105. Hopefully Bunnings do a price match.

Finger nippin' good
I have the Ozito version. It's not bad for what it is. It's a little on the slow side, but I guess they don't want you cutting fingers off. It can cut some decent sized branches.
also have the ozito one, its a good unit but yes it is a little slow. not really super slow but there is some waiting for it to cut, they have geared it down to be strong. the good thing is that the trigger is position sensitive so you dont have to complete the whole stroke and as soon as you release the trigger, it opens again. its powerful though so I would recommend.
Any point getting this if already owning a recip saw?
I guess it depends on what you are cutting and how often. The shears are much smaller/lighter and can be used single handed. I have the brushless recip saw, but haven't used it yet. It's big and heavy and vibrates a lot. I couldn't imagine cutting a lot of branches with it for very long.
I pruned a whole hibiscus tree with the brushless reciprocating saw. Heaps of fun!
Good for mortgage rate negotiating.
ozito one is shite .. I have another version of this one I bought on Amazon … it's awesome..https://amzn.asia/d/aWPK4Lc
I think I paid about 100$ but it cuts 40mm branches no problem.
change that… I was referring to an older ozito pruner that was smaller and slower….and shite'r…. the current ozito one may be fine..
Are they strong enough to cut through a dried palm fronds?
This look much cheaper than a garden shredder
Yes they are, I have the Ozito version for that very reason. But to be honest depending how many palm trees you have (I have 15+) I would rather get a garden shredder, Im keeping an eye out for one. It just takes up too much room on the bin using a pruner and you don't have much room for anything else and I have 2 garden waste bins.
Mulching is your friend, best way to increase your humic levels.
Didn't know you could mulch palm leaves. Aren't they too stringy?
Would like to know what type of shredder / mulcher would work. Thanks!
If you're in Rocky, buy this and then do a little light pruning for this guy. Free shears and enough left over for beers.
He's in Perth.
But the place he needs trimming is in Rocky. I think they have electronical payment methods in Perth these days. They have Ikea now too.
Any opinion on the lawnmower in comparison to the ozito?
Bunnings just did - $79
Zero additional discount with PowerPass (at least for my account) so use OnePass if you have it, for free delivery or 5 x Flybuys Points
Cheers, just got one. No discount on my Powerpass either.
Got the Ozito one for $79. Thank you OP, thank you Aldi ;-)
Purchased like a good OBer. Now to work out if this has any advantageous over the many loppers I have. And a wonderful reciprocating saw.
How did it go?
In the box still with receipt attached. May return I think.
Returning. My normal lopers and the reciprocating saw will do everything I need.
@boxall: I have the Ozito version and find it can cut roughly the same size branches as my bypass loppers but with the advantage of being able to do it one handed so you can hold a branch with your other hand. Pretty handy.
I would say there is a pretty good chance Bunnings will match this one
