    Can't make full judgement of deal unless we know what they charge for oil & parts, as it could be a deal breaker. No way is it worth anywhere near $1200.

    they'll probably find "all" the faults in your car and will get you to get it fixed at a retarded price. no thanks.

    you would think a major service normally includes spark plugs plus air/fuel filter, but yeah that part "•Parts & oils are extra, this deal is labour only" seems to be a sticking point, and you can't BYO-so you already know their parts prices will be inflated with profit!

      Exactly. These are 2 minor services and 2 in-between inspections. As you say given that they must supply the oil and filters you can count on them being at an inflated price and not worth it.

    Mechanic: I'm sorry but your car is un-roadworthy
    Me: Why?
    Mechanic: It needs 4 new brakes, 4 new tyres and the shocks are looking worn too
    Me: But I just bought 4 new tyres in my minor service I had with you guys 2 months ago
    Mechanic: No, they're as bald as a baby's butt (Makes attempt to hide new tyres) but I can sell you these 4 new tyres for (Inflated figure)

    I've seen a lot of these offers and I've been burnt once before (awhile ago now) from these "free" deals. "You need new brakes" and me being none-the-wiser forked over $300 to pay for them to not do anything.

    In addition to the above comments the following Condition says for itself:
    "Parts & oils to be supplied by Auto-Tech Wynyard or World Square"

    Guess how much they will charge you for parts and materials…
