  • Can you use credit to pay for annual fee?

    • You should ask if the credit is transferable ?

      Is it?

I’m 100% certain that you can’t. The reason they give you the travel credit is to force you to spend more on their credit card.

        • The credit is for use on Qantas travel products.

  • The annual fee kills the deal.
My Citibank also gives 2 lounge visits for $0 annual fee.

    • Yer but this also offsets it by giving you a $300 qantas flight credit.
Nearly exactly like the amex card.

    • Which ard is that?

is this the 28 degrees card?, how do we get the lounge visits?
      thanks

      • No, it's a Citi Signature or Prestige with Priority Pass. Not Qantas lounges though.

Latitude issues 28 Degrees, not Citi.

    • It's not really a lounge pass, it depends on the location. I got a voucher for $34 to spend at Sydney airport and no lounge access.

Annual fee should probably be in the title..

  • I kept reading, invested myself in, but the annual fee turned me off.

It would work out good 'IF' the $300 flight voucher could be used for Fees and Taxes on a flight redemption and redeem the 60,000 at the same time!

    • I find the whole flight "credit" a bit of a shit deal.
Every time I have booked using my credit the flight has been more expensive than buying it online.
Also, $300 won't get you much except a sale flight, so if you are travelling with another person, and using FF point redemption, it feels like a rip off to use the same number of points on a sale fare…

  • Have they added Yodlee integration yet? I opened an account but closed it because it didn't work with any third party apps. They said they were working on it.

  • Like the Amex Qantas ultimate travel credit, can this be used to book flights on behalf of others (and therefore sellable)?

If yes, the annual fee becomes pretty cheap if you can sell the credit for say $230.
