Honestly for a dollar I’m not sure if I would get this (again). Got it last time and it’s so small and pretty average really…

    • +3

Same. And they don’t even fill it to the top.

      • +2

And you get 1… Pttf, give 4 to feed the fam FFS

    • Is it more than 2x $0.50 cones? If so, it won't be so bad.

      • +3

        Cones are 0.60$ now :^)

        • I don’t mind the price increase. But my last cone was rather small. Talk about price increases and a size decrease.

@t25: True. I remember when they first came out. I think they were 10cents back in 80's. It was cool how the workers there went out of their way to stack it as high as they possibly could without it all falling down.

        • @ozzpete: Even in the 90s when the price increased to $0.30, workers would push the envelope on how many swirls they could get. Come the turn of the millennium, and the cones started shrinking.

        • I blame Y2K.

      • Were they 20c when the cones originally came to maccas?

    • +2

Yeah GF and I just grabbed two (one at full price, obviously). Talk about stingy with the fudge! Rip off at the usual $3, fine at $1.

      • +2

I always hint to them to not be stingey with topping, I say "Can you put PLENTY of topping in please" .
Most of the time they are quite happy to oblige.

  • Do you have to be logged in?

Ha- tried to redeem mine and the chick had no idea how to enter it and told me to just collect it :)

    • +1

Ah, aren't you supposed to order (and pay) via the app??
      Good on you though ;)

      • -3

i thought u can do it any way?

        • +2

You’ve got to place the order in the app. That’s the whole point.

        • +1

          @goodhasgone:
then tell me why it says below the qr code scan "or tell them this code" love the fools who downvoted me, u know who u are :)

  • +1

Regular sundaes aren't all that big but for only a dollar I'll get it :)
At $3 though you've got to be kidding me.

  • Ordered 1 on my phone and 1 via the self service machine at the same time. Win :-D

  • App wouldn't accept my debit card details.

  • to purchase these specials without ordering online, tap on the reward,(in this case $1 sundae) tap on scan on the bottom left hand corner and ask the cashier to enter the code. Most of the time they have no idea what your talking about and ask their supervisor but it definitely takes the hassle out of ordering through the app. Also the code for some rewards are one time only so can only be used for 1 item once.

Eating that stuff will just cause disease, are you expecting it to replace a meal or gasp complement a meal? Keep the dollar in your pocket, it's much more well spent that way.

    • +1

Fail. This is not the ozbargain way. Go to the back of the queue

  • the app keeps telling me it $3.05

    • mine does not work as well. Anyone got it working?

  • I gained 5 kg from Ozbargain, no joke X(

    • I must be doing a reasonable job maintaining my weight since joining OzB then :P

I need a button to hide this deal. Had 2 sundaes today, just because they were $1 lol, and the 2nd sundae was actually free :) .
The staff members didnt know how to put it through at counter (and it is valid at counter, as stated in app) . Manager was on phone, staff just said "give it to him for free".

  • Well I had this today as it was hot and wow next time I think I'll just order a plain one.

There wasn't even much caramel and when there was it would just stop me from eating the actual ice cream.
