Were you really stalking the missus? Or some other chick lol :)

    • +2

      Her sister.

      NO BANTER!

      You banter you get offtopic'ed

      It's 2018

      • Oz bargain admins wearing fedoras sitting amongst Maccas wrappers looking for comments to police

  • +6

Is $5 for a smoothie supposed to be a good deal then, or… ?

    • +3

      Yes….

Someone who frequents more than me would know the exact pricing, but they're over $7.

    • +5

Not $5. Clearly says five dollarydoos
Exchange rate is around 100 dollarydoos = 1aud

    • -1

      Rather have 2 eneloops

  • +3

Love the user pic Clear :-)

    • I think he looked better with the mustache.

  • +5

    Reminds me of Krusty Burgers

    • +1

Me too!! Except they were free right?

      • Yep that's right.

        (profanity) Boost.

        • +1

I personally am going to spit in every 50th smoothie

        • @muncan:

          I like those odds!

    • But who is our USSR in this example? :)

  • +1

What happens if we lose? Do they raise the prices?

    • +5

They don’t rise the prices but the Prime Minister and foreign minister will publicly pass judgment while waiting on the paternity results of Barnaby’s staffers baby

    • The Aussies will win at all costs.

  • +7

I don’t know how we can compete with the likes of Isle of Man, Nauru and Tuvalu out there in the field

    • +2

As a poorly educated man, the only way I come to learn which countries have recently gained independence is by seeing them get narrowly beaten by Australia in the Commonwealth Games every four years.

Unfortunately, in the Olympics, with the addition of USA, China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France & Italy, they're just not in the photo finish!

  • what sized smoothies?

    • Usually these type of deals are their Original size, which is the Large one.

  • +2

    Nice

  • +12

$5 is supposed to be cheap for a smoothie?
Bloody hell. No wonder I never get anything from Boost Juice.

    • yeah that used to be a large meal from Mcdonals when i was a kid but damm shit is so expensive nowadays

      • +6

It feels bad but inflation is a thing :/. Assuming you're middle aged (say 35 yo), $5 when you were a kid (say 10 yo, ~1993) would equate to about $9 today, according to RBA calculator: https://www.rba.gov.au/calculator/annualDecimal.html

So really, despite it "costing more", it really is about the same.

        • +10

Don't try and use your logic around here.
The ozbargain way means $5 smoothy = expensive, $100 the latest xiaomi gadget that none of us are quite sure what does = cheap!

        • +2

          35 is middle aged?!?!? :(

        • @newdad:

          Yeah that's so true.

It's like maccas meals costing around $10. I'd rather pay a bit extra and go have nandos lol

  • So they are promoting a deal that brings a single one of their smoothies to the price it should be normally? Wicked deal….

  • +1

    Normally $7.10

  • +1

Too.bad. vapiano gave a free pasta/pizza for every gold! This isn't even close.

  • sometimes the app gives you a $1/2/3 off coupon if you get in at 11:11am. depending on the location and order, this could be cheaper than a $5 boost

  • +1

deja vu does anyone remember seeing Krusty's Olympic promotion on The Simpsons https://youtu.be/xVQkOc73uJA

  • +1

I mean it's an alright deal I guess but it's just so sad to see our former captain with so much time on his hands, and having to count his pennies like this.
    RIP Steve.
    RIP.

    • +1

I don't know why, but your comment made me laugh

  • actually curious, there are a number of comments here about $5 still being overpriced for this… the implication seems to be that there are smoothies that can regularly be had for cheaper than this somewhere, can someone please point me to somewhere that has a regularly priced large fruit smoothie going for less than $5?

    • +4

      My kitchen

      • +2

pity that's so far from where i work :(

        • +1

Plot twist: you two are neighbours

  • Merged from $5 Original Green Tea Mango Mantra @ Boost Juice
    Go to Deal

Australia has hit some gold medals on Day One!

Boost Juice is therefore offering Original Sized Green Tea Mango Mantra for $5. Must show or mention offer in store to redeem and can't be ordered through the app.

  • shoulda been gold coins when aussie wins gold medals :P $1 boost, yes please!

  • $5 is still a lot to pay for a glass of flavoured sugar.

    • Food in general is expensive. Just drink Soylent.

      • I think it comes in tablet form.
