  • Do the items need to be sold on the same day? (tomorrow?)

    • +2

No, they just have to be listed for sale between 28/1 & 31/1.
You then have up to 30 days to sell.

      • Thanks

        • +3

It works off item number, so as long as that doesn't change then it's ok.

I suggest you also write down each item and number as they always screw up.

  • +1

For some reason this doesn't appear anywhere after I accepted the offer.

These offers and promos are always messed up.

    • +3

Check again tomorrow once it’s active, it should then appear under your offers.

    • Yeah same here the offer is not showing up anywhere after I accepted it.

  • For those who were not targeted there is always the ongoing Super Sunday promotion

Pay a maximum of $1 in Final Value Fees for any items you list and make available for purchase in a single category during the Promotion Period (see exclusions below).

According to customer service , if you didn’t receive an email inviting you to sell on ‘super sunday’ ( lame) , your not invited and it won’t be honoured.

      • I was never invited and it works for me

The terms and conditions have the opposite to what customer service told you

All www.ebay.com.au members are eligible to participate in this offer

Thanks OP, I've been hanging out for this deal to come back. You actually have more than 30 days to sell items. When it automatically relists at the end of the 30 days the promotion still applies, so effectively you get 60 days to sell.

    • +2

      Are you sure?
      According to the T&Cs:
‘Good ‘Til Cancelled listings created during the Promotion Period will be eligible for the promotion only until the listing automatically re-lists.‘

    • +2

I'm pretty sure that's not the case in my past experiences

    • +2

relists at the end of the 30 days the promotion still applies,

Absolutely false. But if you have another promotion active such as "sell five for free", it will use those.

      • -1

My listings from the previous 5802 promos have all automatically relisted and I haven't been charged listing nor final value fees. Maybe my account is just being weird.

        • +1

I speak having been charged final value on a relisted item.

Do you normally pay listing fees? Look to see what other Promotional Offers you have active, that were used.

          See above:

          According to the T&Cs:
‘Good ‘Til Cancelled listings created during the Promotion Period will be eligible for the promotion only until the listing automatically re-lists.‘

        • aether, you are lucky. It was certainly not the case when I re-listed my item. feeBay wanted to charge me final value fee. I quickly cancelled and manually created a new listing, no final fee on that one.

        • +1

My "auto relists" which fell on a Sunday and consequently sold were all charged final value fees (not insertion fees). I text chatted to eBay and they said sorry they were auto relists. After I received the transcript I emailed and complained, because from my understanding 7 day fixed/auctions are not the same as "good til cancelled listings"
          (from eBay site: Good Til Cancelled (GTC) listing. Under this format, your listing will be created for a duration of 30 days. It will be a fixed price listing and at the end of the 30 day period, your listing will automatically get renewed and list again. This continues to happen after every 30 day period till such time that the seller cancels the listing.);
and since my auto relists, by design, started on a Sunday they should be included. They relented. I still think the T&C are not clear for their intent - that is ALL auto relists are NOT covered.

        • @bg: I stand corrected then. Sorry folks, didn't mean to mislead, just stating what I observed from my experience.

  • It would be amazing if ozbargain created a reminder button for deals that are either in the future or where you're busy and can't action until later in the day.

Lol, just realised that very function already exists!

  • Plus one for the free insertion.

  • Are you allowed to cancel all of your current listings and relist tomorrow?

    • Of course, though it's not ideal if they are auctions.

  • +1

time to sell all my useless xmas presents

  • +1

I’ve been getting these offers in eBay email or eBay messages, yet when I go to activate them I’m not eligible..

  • 2 of my 3 accounts qualified - The two which have very low activity

  • No ebay offer invite on this one for me.

  • Listing seemed free but with the caveat that final listing value will be calculated at the end of the auction. So I'd say eBay will want its blood.

Now their stupid posting page takes 30mins to navigate/populate, the stupid pictures uploader won't validate any pics <500pixels wide and the list of road-blocks and annoyances goes on. No wonder no-one local is posting ads on eBay anymore other than the shops trying not to go bust. Maybe that's the real reason they bought gumtree.
