    Good find Bonky. Keen to see our new house of pain and ladies footy is pretty good. Woman go hard as. :)

    Great way to check out the new stadium with some sort of game atmosphere (as opposed to the open day).

    I was lucky enough to be one of the 10,000 to watch the first spectator game at the stadium a month ago (Twenty20 between English Lions and Perth Scorchers) - good times ;)

    AFL clubs have two separate memberships for the men's and women's competitions? It's the one club, should be one membership.

    • +1

      So who takes the financial hit in that scenario? The club who are providing more games, more players, more officials, more general staff for the stadiums, and more support, or should all fans (including those who have no interesting in the womans league) pay a higher price for the membership? Genuinely interested who you think should pay.

        If i was a member of a sports club I would expect that I had members perks for all games. If clubs feel it's a burden to run a women's team then maybe they shouldn't have put their hands up for one.

        • answer his question or shoosh

        • So your solution to having a women's league without inflating costs for anyone is not to have a women's league?

        • @Whomastadon: pretty sure I did. Maybe you can find a discount learn to read English course on here :D

        • +1

          @Cubist: almost sounds as if the women's league is unviable.

          @Joey Jo Jo:

          Right, so you really just want to see the women's league closed… Should have just said that to begin with.

        • @Cubist: not at all. I just find it stupid that one club has two memberships

        • @Joey Jo Jo:

          Well the two options with your idea of a single membership for the two leagues are charging all members more money, or the club to provide extra services for free. As you've pointed out, neither of these are viable.

          It's far easier to whinge than it is to provide a solution I guess.

        • +1

          @Cubist: Not really whinging, just pointing out that to be a full member of your club you now need two memberships - doesn't seem right to me

        • @Joey Jo Jo:

          So… Whinging?

        • +1

          @Cubist: no

    Ticketmaster, huh? $2.00 ticket, huh?

    Should be interesting to see fees Ticketmaster tacks on.

    Why pay $2 for a low quality product that's normally free?

    Isn't this the opposite of a bargain?

  • Anyone willing to share the code?

    "AFL Womens a roaring success"
    by entire media

    ….until they start charging at the gate.

      watch it slowly die in the ass now that the novelty is over

      • +4

        If the tickets remain free, they will continue to get good crowds. As soon as they start charging AFL prices (EQUALITY!!!), watch things change.

  • +6

    I just bought tickets and can confirm that there are no Ticketmaster handling fees.
