Buy an Amaysim Unlimited 2.5GB SIM for $20 & Get $30 Cashback (Approved by Feb 28) @ Cashrewards

3620

Similar to the very popular deal in June, Amaysim & Cashrewards are offering something new until January 21. Potentially a $10 profit and access to a 2.5GB SIM on the house. The main requirements are that you are a new Amaysim customer, activate prior to February 10, and you click out via the Cashrewards link in the post. Enjoy :)

Please read these important guidelines & T&Cs before proceeding:

  1. You MUST click out through this link or the Cashrewards link in this post (then select Shop Now).
  2. Once you've clicked Shop Now, DO NOT exit the Amaysim site until your purchase is complete.
  3. If you are an existing Amaysim customer, you will need to create a new account with a new email address to be eligible for this offer.
  4. Order the Unlimited 2.5GB SIM for $20.
  5. You must activate the SIM before 11:59pm AEDT Feb 10, 2018 to be eligible for cashback.
  6. If your SIM arrives pre-activated, contact Amaysim. They will reset the activation date so you get the full 28 days.
  7. Cashback will be APPROVED in your Cashrewards account no later than Feb 28, 2018.
  8. Offer applies only on the 2.5GB $20 SIM so ignore other T&Cs on Cashrewards for any other Amaysim plans.
  9. Only one cashback of $30 per Cashrewards account is permitted.
  10. Cannot be used with any other Amaysim or 3rd party promos/codes/referrals.
  11. Cannot stack with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend. Doing so will invalidate cashback & referral bonus.
  12. This cashback offer expires 11:59pm AEDT Jan 21, 2018 (final purchase date).
  13. Your CR tracking email may show an estimated approval date in March. Ignore this as approval will be as stated above.
  14. Remember that AdBlock may cause issues with tracking technology, so please disable before using Cashrewards.
  15. If for any reason your sale fails to track after 7 days, open a support ticket and the team will look into it for you.

If only I was Bill Gates, it would cost me more to pick up a thousand dollar bill which dropped out of my pocket, than if I just went on. I would lose $3000 in 1 second. But as it is I don't get that even in a week's work. May have to talk to my accountant about that.

Will this work on mobile? No?

      • Wrong. Includes unlimited talk and text. It’s 28days too I just noticed.

no i meant the cr tracking

        • @BrodenIt: Lol your initial question wasn't clear!

It probably would? But I personally don't like using cashback websites on mobile - it just feels like something might go wrong, or something's not configured right..

    1. Only one cashback of $30 per Cashrewards account is permitted.

If I took part in the cashback offer in June, do I still qualify for this one with my CR account? (Provided I make a new Amaysim account, I know.)

    • +11

Totally separate offer. Of course you qualify :)

        Thank you TA.

Shouldn't be right, cuz I believe they don't have to give away free money to attract customers with heaps of arrangement with Cashrewards!
They can simply offer the same starter kits for a small price (I personally would buy it if it is less than $4), and everybody takes the hassle to port over the number and buy the sim.
      Correct me if I'm wrong

    Thanks TA. Great offer!

I’m looking to port out then back in to Optus with the same number. Does it matter that Amaysim uses the Optus network?

    • Shouldn't matter.. they should be able to 'port' it (reassign number to reseller).

    • Took longer than normal when I ported from optus. Couple days for me so beware of the delay.

  • 11.Cannot stack with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend. Doing so will invalidate cashback & referral bonus.

    What does this mean?

    • Hi. It means you can't use this offer with our Refer-a-Friend program.

      • Sorry, I don't understand. Aren't 90% of cashrewards users referred from someone else?
Or do you mean the amaysim refer a friend?

        • No, he means you can't create a new CR account from a referral link, then use this offer to get the terms of the refer-a-friend program (which normally lands you $5 in your CR account). You can't because you'd be double-dipping.

        • +1

@MathNerd: Perfectly said MathNerd. Thank you :)

        • +1

          @tightarse: You're more than welcome :)

        • @tightarse: does that mean that if I have a friend who was referred by me and used my link to sign up 2 months ago but has yet to make a $20+ purchase will be unable to benefit from the cashback from this amaysim deal as well as the refer-a-friend benefit?

        • @hereforbargains: Hi there. An existing (existing = prior to 4pm today) referrer can benefit from this particular deal if his/her referee purchases the SIM. If however you create an account via refer-a-friend specifically to partake of this offer, then condition (11) applies where cashback from the offer and both refer-a-friend amounts will be null & void. Hope this makes sense :)

        • +1

          @tightarse: perfect thanks :)

      • Oops, I thought you meant Amaysim's referral program.
Anyway, thanks TA. I didn't use any referral programs though

  • If I refer a friend and he takes this offer up, will this qualify for the $20 eligible purchase?

    • +4

      Please read the OP…

Cannot stack with Cashrewards Refer-a-Friend. Doing so will invalidate cashback & referral bonus.

      • Side track a bit and since we are on this: I am always puzzled about the T&C:

who makes one or more Qualifying Purchase(s) of at least twenty dollars ($20.00 AUD) through the Service within ninety (90) days after signing up as a member of the Service (for each Referral made by you, the “Referral Bonus Threshold”).

Does it mean within 90 days, the referee must make at least one transaction of values $20 or greater, OR the referee must make one or more transactions, totalling at least $20? I have noticed single eBay transaction of multiple items are logged as individual items in 'my rewards'.

        • +1

You should not consider the referral T&Cs of Cashrewards at all because the referral bonus is not applicable to this deal, and will in fact result in you not getting the $30 cashback of this deal either.

        • +3

@illumination: Thank you illumination. You said it perfectly :)

        • +1

@illumination: TA has stated it clearly in his first reply. No problem there.

As I said "side track": that's not related to this deal. My question is certainly not related to this deal. You can ignore my question based on that and I am fine with that. I was not bringing in the T&C to this deal. Just want a clarification of the T&C itself. Noted my comment regarding eBay purchases at the end of my comment.

        • @sylvester328: Hi sylvester328. Apologies for misinterpreting your initial comment. In order for the referrer to have his/her $5 pending refer-a-friend amount moved to approved, the referee must make at least one single eligible purchase of $20 or more. Unfortunately, multiple items in an eBay cart are not counted as a single transaction, as eBay reports them to us as separate entities.

        • +1

          @tightarse: Thanks for your clarifications.

  • If you are an existing Amaysim customer, you will need to create a new account with a new email address to be eligible for this offer.

Having same registration details eg. name, DOB, address (apart from email address) won't be a problem?

    • Based on my experience of the previous deal, same registration details still gets you the cashback although at no point in time was the same name/DOB used (only same address - i.e. was done for multiple family members).

      • Just realised this may have been a little unclear

The only "same registration details" I used were the same address. I don't know about name and actually want to know this too.

I'm curious as to whether someone who has previously had an Amaysim account (but is using a new Amaysim account with an unused email) qualifies if using the same ID for verification.

I'll post it as a separate comment.

  • -1

Re: Step 3 "If you are an existing Amaysim customer, you will need to create a new account with a new email address to be eligible for this offer."

Does this mean a new Cash Rewards account, or Amaysim account, or both?

    • +3

Only a new amaysim account. He stated this is a new offer so an existing cashrewards account is eligible.

    • +1

I think only New account with new email address for Amaysim
      not for cashrewards

      • doesn't CashRewards require the email addresses to match between accounts?

        • +1

Don't think so. I'm pretty sure they only track the sale and don't care about anything else (of course it considers the conditions mentioned too)

        • No because you need to login cash reward with your id and then click on amaysim deal

Then enter your newly created email at amaysim
          You are done

  • Oh cool, I might use this to port out of Telstra, then come back to the JB Hifi offer. Anyone see any issues with this? Thanks in advance.

    • +1

JB Hi-Fi offer? Are you referring to their "port a number in and get $200 gift card" offers?

Nope, don't see why there would be any issues with that. Sounds like a sound plan.

      • Yes, that one. Thanks for the input

      • Can you link JB Hifi offer?

    • +1

You mean the Belong SIM offer?

      • I actually had meant the $200 gift card offer. Forgot about that belong deal. i might chase that up, too. Thanks

  • +1

Not sure if this is happening for anyone else, but beware guys - Paying by Paypal forces me to agree to future recurring Paypal payments. Make sure you cancel this in your settings after paying.

    • that's normal

    • You can change to Bpay on your amaysim account, then cancel under Paypal recurring payments

    • Or you can cancel auto-renew altogether

  • Does the plan auto-renew after 28 days?

    • -1

You can cancel after 1 month

      • +1

When is the earliest you can cancel, as soon as you receive and activate the SIM? I only ask since I am forgetful :)

      • so if you forget to cancel, you get billed for another $30 for the next month?

we are talking about a plan? cause they way its written up, it seems so much like prepaid.

    • Auto renew by default. However you cannmake change to that right on day one.

  • Does the SIM work overseas? Planning to be in France for a week.
    Thanks

    • +2

Are you asking if it has roaming? Yes Amaysim has roaming.

  • On checkout after entering my divipay details;

There's been an errorWhoops! We're really sorry about this, but it looks like something went wrong. The following error has occurred:

I also think people shouldn't pos vote until they have the cash back…

      That's fair, I guess.

I pos voted pretty quickly because I got the cashback last time as promised and don't expect this to be any different.

  • -3

minimum cash out is $10.01. time to buy something on ebay.

    • +6

What do you mean? If you get $30 cashback, you can take it all out at once lol

      • Oops, never mind.

  • Sweet deal!

  • You must activate the SIM before 11:59pm AEDT Feb 10, 2018 to be eligible for cashback.

How can I activate this today without the sim ?

    • +1

      You have one month.

    • You could probably buy a $2 Amaysim SIM from Coles/Woolies/7-Eleven and get Amaysim to activate it for you..?

      • +1

Hi illumination. This is an online only offer, and you must activate the SIM that is sent to you to qualify.

        • I stand corrected then!

  • First time using Cash Rewards. How long is the expected wait time till I can see something on my cash rewards account?

    • +2

The description has the answer you are looking for. Look at point 7.

      • I saw that, but I won't even see some notification of it starting?

        • Of what starting? The purchase being tracked and thus the start of your cashback process..?

        • @illumination:

Something along the lines of that. Or is it a guessing game that it went through till 28/2/18?

        • +3

Mine appeared in my Cashrewards balance as pending immediately. Screenshot of CR account https://imgur.com/a/3G8ju

          @hetzjagd:
Thanks for the information and screenshot, just received the email.

        • @hetzjagd: As always, my order is not tracked (again!!). Although this time I used Opera instead of Chrome to avoid the AD Block issue.
No CR track email and no pending transaction.

All other orders of GestBest/Light In The Box/Zapals etc were not tracked, which is fine as these were not too much.

I had to raise a ticket to resolve my wws order track issue last time, which I hope can be resolved eventually.

For this one, do I need to wait for 7 days to raise a cash reward ticket, or it is time to do it now as normally it should show up as pending immediately?

          Suggestions?

        • +2

          @HappilyEverAfter:

I'm no expert but I can try to help. Firstly I use Canary with the Cashrewards add-on install for good measure almost exclusively when making purchases. I have Malwarebyte Antimalware installed with Web Protection on as well as a 400kb+ system hosts file installed and seemingly neither of those things mess with the tracking. I would have to imagine no other software you have installed could be interfering with it.

          As far as this purchase goes, what has been done is done. There's nothing you can do now by yourself to make the order track of course. You are probably already familiar with this but if not, CR advise in one area of their site that as a general rule;

If you have followed all the Cashback guidelines such as linking directly to the store from the Cashrewards Go To Store buttons and only using coupon codes that are listed on the Cashrewards website and your transaction and rewards don’t appear in your account within 30 days of your purchase date, please submit an enquiry with your order confirmation or invoice and we will review our data and contact the store to determine what may have occurred.

Now the 30 days might be overkill, more on that in a moment. Firstly unless I'm mistaken and there is some way you can refund the purchase with amaysim - which I would do if it is an option for you - as the sim is coming, I would still go through the remaining steps such as activating it before the required date.

Cashrewards say that they can follow up with the merchants on your behalf to manually correct trackings that haven't occurred. They say some merchants will not participate in this process and that those ones are marked as "no enquiries" on the store page on CR. From what I can see Amaysim are not one of these "no enquiry" merchants. What I can see is that it says specifically on the Amaysim CR page "Your cashback is guaranteed" and links to this page https://www.cashrewards.com.au/blog/cashback-guarantee/

It also says that for Amaysim "Rewards may take 7 days to be credited to your account. You will receive an email to advise your rewards are pending and awaiting confirmation." This is separate to the actual payment period which is up to 65 days

So I believe you cannot miss out. Your best bet is wait the remaining time until 7 days have passed. If that happens and you haven't got an email and there is no mention of it when you're logged into CR and looking at your rewards balance, then at that point you should lodge the claim. As best as I can see there is nothing you will miss out on by waiting that time and you will not help your situation by contacting them any earlier than that.

But without wanting to waste your time and get your hopes up - again, I'm no expert and I encourage you to do your own reading on the CR site to confirm that what I've suggested is the best approach. I would also look into trying to find a CR partnered merchant that allows refunds/cancellations at no cost to you and use a couple of test transactions to try work out why purchases are consistently not tracking on your computer. Your best bet may be that if you have a secondary computer, try on there first to see if you can isolate the issue to the one computer.
