    • Today I identified an issue where Auspost aren't tracking until their courier has handed it to them. Please try Ubi's tracking.

      https://track.aftership.com/ubi-logistics/

      • Thanks, that worked.
I think I speak for most in here when I say; thank you for providing support and addressing all our concerns.

How are you affiliated with geekbuying? Do you work for them?

Also; whats the deal? Why do these guys operate the way they do?
They surely aren't doing themselves any favors - there are a lot of disgruntled customers on this thread.

I'm not an employee. I negotiate and post deals on their behalf and try to help out when I can.

Thousands of orders get shipped out each month without issue. Unfortunately this is the first time a major issue has occurred in years and I'm still working on getting the full story. This normally does not happen.

        • @Clear:

Well thanks for helping us all out.
I hope they sort it as it seems they've lost a few customers here.

  • I also complained to Geekbuying about the incredibly slow processing and in their response they sent me a different website to track my 5T delivery that also doesn't have up-to-date tracking info *rolleyes*
    http://www.ubismartparcel.com/

If anybody asked me if I would recommend geekbuying I would definitely say NO

  • Started a live chat with them with my complaints on the late shipping, and they said to me
"the order has been packed well and we will send it out in these two days. Once it has been shipped out,you will receive an email about the tracking number. There are many packages, our warehouse colleague overtime to deal them. I will ask the warehouse colleague to send it out quickly"

Told them I was disappointed by the lack of support and service and communication, they should know better to hire more casuals if they're swamped with packages or at least send an email to let customers know there are delays…
Ordered Red on 16th (technically should have arrived today with the 5-8 day shipping, but there are people here who ordered first week of Jan and still haven't received it so there wasn't much hope for me anyway!)

    • Ditto. Not good. I got a refund in the end.

    • Yeah definitely, if they are selling so many packages (and therefore making a bit of money) Why don't they have more staff on the ensure these are processed?
I ordered on the 5th and only received shipping confirmation two days ago. Almost 20 days processing time? ridiculous!

      • I ordered same phone via Vaya (ebay) at the weekend. OK I used paypal this time but it arrived this morning.

  • Item finally got shipped out according to an email, still skeptical, purchased on the 6th of Jan.
That processing time is god awful.
Will update when I receive the phone.

    Hi everyone,

I'd like to apologise for the delay in having orders shipped. I never expected there to be a delay and if I'd known there was going to be delays in sending out orders I never would have posted this deal. Obviously there isn't much I can do to speed up the delivery, but I have been speaking to GeekBuying on ways they can improve and prevent this situation from happening again. One of the issues we identified is that the initial tracking website provided should have been Ubi as they're Auspost's courier in China and Hong Kong.

As a way of saying sorry I've managed to secure compensation for those affected which I hope you will appreciate.

If your order took more than 7 business days to process and you used the coupon VENMQNPH or JNUYZUQD, you're eligible for your choice of a $10 refund or $10 off coupon. Please send an email to [email protected] with your order number and coupon used, requesting either the $10 US refund or $10 US off coupon.

Again I'm sorry for all of this and will always be available if you need help with anything.

    Thank you!

Further to the compensation, can you please title your email OzBargain Oneplus Refund so customer service know what to look for.

      • Hi Clear, have written to customer service in regards to the refund 5 days ago and have not had a response.

        • Excluding weekends it can take a couple of days. I'll double check tomorrow.

Hi Clear, Is there anything available for IYNTHLYN (the 6GB 5T) ? I ordered 5th January and it shipped on the 23rd… Posting here as it is more active than the other post. Thanks

      • +1

I've put the question to them and will let you know.

  • Phone finally arrived. 14 + 1 business days (+1 because postman redirected to post office because I wasn't home but not available for pick up until 10am the next day).

I also had to factory reset the phone because when I turned it on the first time it didn't do the usual Android new phone set up.

Storage in use before factory reset was over 3GB, but less than 1GB after. Anybody else think that's a bit suspicious? Especially after the scare stories of phones imported from China full of bloatware that sends personal details back to servers in China. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I'll be keeping an eye on the network traffic the phone sends and receives.

Also my cashrewards.com.au cash back still hasn't been tracked

    • I covered it in a previous comment, but Geek actually upgraded from 7.1 to 8.0 before shipping. The storage being 3GB would have been the files downloaded from the OTA update.

      • What an absolute waste of time. If I wanted to update to Android 8 I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself. I would much rather have had the phone a few days earlier.

        • I agree. That's why I made the offer of compensation above.

    • is this 14 days from order being submitted or from the day the order status changed to shipped?

      • 14 business days from submitting my order

  • Still no updates on the tracker to say my parcel has even been shipped or scanned by the courier, ordered on the 6th of Jan aswell…

      • Yep, just says pending, Please try again later, we are awaiting tracking info from the carrier.

        • What's the order number? I'll get it looked at.

        • order #4370658

        • I'm in the same boat - received tracking info on the 25th but is still pending on both Aus Post and Ubi - could you please chase mine up too Clear? I contacted customer support a couple of days ago but received no response.

          Order #4391022
