Highly recommend the Scrubba wash bags. I have an original Scrubba wash bag, it is great for travel. I used to wash clothes in a basin/bath and scrubbing clothes by hand, and would get sore knuckles and there'd be water everywhere. With the Scrubba, if you're careful, there's no water spillage and you don't need a plug or a proper basin or bath, just some source of water. It was really useful in Africa, even at places that offered to do your laundry because most places won't wash your undies/bras etc.
Used a friends one of these one when trekking, it's really good for what it does, and works as a dry bag too (obviously ha).
That said I can't get over the price, 50 for a dry bag with a ripple pad is nuts to me.

I have never forgotten John Steinbeck's book, 'Travels with Charlie". Steinbeck went around the USA with his standard poodle and in the van had a bucket with a clamped lid. He put the clothes and water etc in and then drove on and they got washed.
