    any cheap nintendo switch?

    • Where have you been? Been seeing so many Ninendo Switch deals on OzBargain in the past 6 months.

      • Out of space maybe.

  • +1

lol these prices are ridiculous. $1.9k for a Pixel 2 XL.

  • In the market for a well priced note 8 256gb. I'll skip over the price jackers.

  • +1

WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME!!!!

    • +1

      MONEY!

    • +1

$13000 a month and your daughter.

      • +7

I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will buy you a Christmas present.

        • Was expecting a Tyrese reference. Disappointed.

        • @krisspy: Sorry to disappoint but you had the best of both worlds.

        • Good luck.

  • How do people get on these deals? Was looking at tablet for my nephews for Xmas. User Amaysim has 0 feedback.

  • Hoping for 1000XM2 deal for under $350.

  • Anyone know the quality of these laptops? Is it worth getting it? Thanks!

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Inspiron-15-7000-Gaming-Core…

    • +2

The quality is decent. I think this is the cheapest this model has been.

However, depending on how desperate you are for a new laptop, I would wait for the new models. The new I5 CPUs are going to be quad cores, and will be a big step up from this. With Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Boxing Day deals around the corner, I would wait a bit longer.

      • Thank you, I probably will wait til the end of this year, not rush of anything hehe :)

      • Isn't Thanksgiving an american holiday? How good will the deals be on Black Friday and Cyber Monday in Aus? Thanks

        • Yes, Thanksgiving is an American holiday. But no one was talking about Thanksgiving.

      • Isn't this i5-7300HQ already quad core? Sorry genuinely no idea about these things

    • +1

It depends what you need it for. For a some games, it won't meet minimum requirements. It certainly won't do VR. These manufacturers have really overused the term "Gaming Laptop" and quotes like "superior gaming performance". As a laptop for productivity then yea its a very fast laptop and price point looks good. But if you want to play big games like COD WWII, the gpu barely makes it for minimum spec.

      • The answer to the question I was about to ask. TA

  • Save your dollar and wait until Amazon official lunch, both Amazon and eBay will then have good offer as they will fight each other.

    • +2

You really think it will be cheaper? 1 Aussie retailer vs thousands of global retailers. Do you think it will be cheaper than Amazon US? If Amazon US was already cheaper than ebay we wouldn't be shopping on ebay.

      • Amazon US is cheaper than eBay especially for things not very common in Aus.

        • +1

Most of that stuff is from 3rd party sellers and either doesn't ship here, or it costs a lot to ship.

    • +1

      Amazon official lunch 😊

    • They're actually pretty different businesses unless you're comparing Amazon marketplace, but that doesn't have enough range to compete with ebay.

  • -5

Need a SSD and a mcbook charger. Which store will have a bargain? :)

    • +1

      didnt know McDonalds made notebooks

  • +1

Most of the tech stores in this sale have their prices 20% more than those that are not in this sale, be sure to check other stores before you blindly purchase from these sellers. I know all the of the items I was looking at, wireless_1_eshop has them cheaper at their regular base price.

  • +3

If eBay was a dude introducing himself at a bar, he'd say "Hi, my name's Jack… Price Jack".

  • The 20% off deal only creates normal prices, let's welcome Amazon to end eBay's pointless "discount".

    • +2

A man for $719? Hope the SSM votes are in your favour ;)

    • You missed it at $599 during click frenzy :P OzBargin Deal

  • +1

These people have no shame :/ 8700k with 20% discount - $580. From Amazon US with shipping any day of the week - $550

    • +1

You're not paying sales tax from Amazon US. So it's actually not too far off.

I think a lot of people take for granted that we can actually buy goods cheaper than many in the US can, simply because we're not paying any GST.
That will change eventually, and in my mind it's doubtful Amazon Australia will be cheaper than Amazon US without tax.

    • umart has them in stock for $569…

  • I'd be avoiding eglobal…. Got a dud S3 Frontier from them, several weeks of story changing with a repair, I've now got PayPal to refund me shortly. Awful customer service. Constant lies.

  • After an iPhone 8 Plus 64gb, but everyone has jacked!

    • Ausluck had it for $1349 = 1079 after discount but it said it was out of stock instantly. Did anyone actually purchase one or are they withholding stock?

  • +1

The other 20% literally finished just yesterday. This is highly amusing.

    • Indeed.

    • These 20% sales are virtually never ending and have been going for ages.

  • Does anybody have any experience buying from Allphones online? I'm looking to get a Samsung S8 but want to ensure I get a Samsung Australia model that is covered by their 24 month warranty. Allphones say that this is what they are selling and have 100% postive feedback for 479 transactions, but I'm a little bit cautious because of some horror stories in the forums about another seller substituting UAE models. Can anybody share their experience with Allphones?

    • +1

Allphones are associated with MobileCiti and are well known on here for great service, they sell 100% Australian stock.

      • Are you a spy from mobileciti or allphones ?

        • Shhh.

    • +1

      http://www.allphones.com.au/

Allphones went into voluntary administration early this year and mobileciti bought them out and using allphone-online as their store front. Seen many deal for mobileciti on here selling Australian model. No reason to believe they would be selling oversea model here.

    • I just bought a LG v20 with allphones online. Received it yesterday and found the seal was already broken and the corners of the box were torn. Although the phone looks new but the box was definitely opened by someone before. Sent them a message last night and yet no reply.

    DAMN IT GOODGUYS! :(

    • +1

I was waiting for 20% TGG deal too, as my fridge died and I was looking to buy a new fridge desperately. x 2 DAMN IT GOODGUYS !!! :(

    • +1

Yeah TGG is the only one worth it

    • got an email Good Guys has warehouse clearance sale Fri-Sun scratch dent etc. Potentially deal to be had there.

      • Yep just got that also, see if they will do more dealing :D

        • +1

@beigehornet: Can you please share that link of warehouse clearance sale? Many thanks in advance.

  • If i buy note 8 from my-phonez, "Australian Stock" can I claim export when i leave the country in 2 weeks?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-8-Maple-Gold-…

    • +1

If they supply an invoice showing GST, sure. You'll have to ask them if they do though.

    • They do supply an GST invoice with ABN number in it. So yes you can claim TRS but beware their model may not be Australian model.

They do qualify as Australian Stock IMO cause the do sell from Australia with ABN and tax invoice but their phone from seem to come from the UAE.

  • Why no PLE Computers?

  • every ebay deal all I read in the comments are people complaining about price jacking and yet every ebay deal people still vote it up.

    • +2

The same people who upvote 5 cent, 0.25% cashback increases from CashRewards
      :P

    • hehe so true.

    • +2

Because there are genuine deals to be had, eg:

      Google Home Mini $65 Delivered

    • Yes funny how all eBay deals have so many people complain yet so many people upvoting.

  • QNAP TS-451a for $707 $560 with 20% off but full price on Umart is $599 so only really saving $30. If it was 20% off 599 would be nice

  • I'm finding the code doesnt work for an Amaysim ipad? Hmmmm

  • +1

Any good deal with Samsung S8, can anyone please share the link ? Thanks

  • +2

Cant wait for ebay to invite us to join one of these events. We have to shake it up a little. No pricejacking from us

    • Cant wait for ebay to invite us to join one of these events. We have to shake it up a little. No pricejacking from us

So you make enough profit to cover 25-30% in fees?

      • +3

I can't please everyone - I commit to not jacking the prices up on ebay and someone implies I make too much money.

Well, let it be known that my Porsche is completely filled with QC35s and Eneloop batteries. Richard Branson, eat your heart out!!!

  • +1

I really cant wait for amazon to arrive down under, the time for Fake sales like this, and the public treating the consumers like absolute idiots will be over. Really, all the retail stores participating in these crappy fake price jacked sales, will go bust like the rats they are. Where ever there is un just behaviour it will come to an end. Sadly tierney like this can only be stopped by another large competitor like amazon that doesn’t screw their customers over.

    • +18

You have an overly high estimation of what amazon will provide. You'll still need to pay gst and their prices won't necessarily be cheaper than what you're finding at the moment. Maybe, maybe not. Lower shipping costs will be the biggest advantage and their access to amazon essentials. Quite often their lightning deals show % off from rec retail - not their own everyday prices. Will you whinge about that too?

      • i honestly don't care. Had enough of these fake sales.

    • +3

What's the difference between the public and consumers (from your post)?

    • +5

      Who is Tierney?

    • +6

I think Ikea will be the perfect example to put your expectations in perspective. Their overseas pricing is amazing value, yet in Australia they jack their prices up to Australian market value. I suspect Amazon will do just the same, if you are expecting US amazon prices adjusted to AUD then you will be sadly mistaken. Our selection will be vastly limited and prices as per what the Australian Market has deemed reasonable.

      • +1

Amazon is in many other countries besides US.. the impacts in UK, Germany, Japan, etc hasn't been that significant.

        • UK population: 66 millions Population density ~ 395 persons /square km

Germany population: 83 millions - 229 persons / square km

Japan population: 127 millions - 336 persons / square km

Australia? 24 millions - 3 whole persons for every square kilometer

Our population is about 1/3 the size of UK while being 30 times bigger in area. There is just a lot, a lot less people in Australia to do business with compare to other country. And to compensate for lower amount of business price have to be higher, and especially in Australia where our wage is quite high.

        • @highdealer: millions? The correct term is million.

  • Where's the link to the powerline kit?

  • I mean of course the ram I bought in the 20% off sale 2 days ago is cheaper now… from the same goddamn seller >:(

  • not again, same as previous deal, where is the myer???

  • and where is the sitewide 20% off….

  • someone please help me with a cheapest Galaxy s8, thanks in advance.
