Agree completely. For $1000 you would at least expect a FHD screen..
Agreed, sorry about the 768 screen res… I couldnt see that on the Goodguys website specs as its non-existent. Doh!
CPU is 2 core, the 12gb of Ram is overkill for most.
No point in buying a new computer without an SSD unless you want it to be slow.
you can put in your own SSD which i did to mine and get a bigger drive than what they deem is enough to grab attention eg 500gb or 1tb ssd ..
but HD screens are the turn off for me, especially after all the lenovo FHD deals for under $1000 they did e.g the think pad e570.
In many consumer use laptop replacing the hdd voids the warranty
It's actually got a 128 ssd in there soon with a 1tb hdd. Only 8gb ram i believe
If you Googled the model number that may've been a different configuration of the same model.
Can anyone suggest a better at 1k price? thanks..
Eh, dell refurbished laptops have a good reputation on ozbargain. Whilst choice is sometimes curtailed, there are plenty of decent inspirons at the moment.
http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/product…Lenovo E series often go for less than 1k. For example https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/330841
They do pop up every couple of weeks

This is the model number: NX.GP5SA.014
Screen resolution 1366x768 and no SSD puts me off this device.
