Looked like a good deal for micro usb cables compared to previous deals. Especially with the 3 X 3.3 ft cables (1 metre) which is a nice length.

different quality man… this is tronsmart.
I've bought these Tronsmart in the past. They wear out and become loose just as quickly.
woops.. ok thank i pass then
Just started using 1 tronsmart. Noticed that it's a lot faster than many of my other cables.
Haven't used it for long enough to comment on how quickly they become loose though
Yes charges fast but the clips on the micro usb end will either become loose ot wobbly. Avoid. Buy Anker, you get what you pay for for.
Yep. They need way more reinforcement on the microUSB end. Mine started wobbling then snapped completely
It kinda feels like there is no reliable micro usb cables around.
They're either slow, bend/ become loose easily, fray, or all of the above.
As an aside, this loose micro usb fix has helped me to extend the life of quite a few cables.
@Love a bargain: Anker's micro USB cables are very good and reliable. Have about 10 of em, been using for a couple years and still hold up fine, not slow either. A bit expensive, but they're worth it.
I think I've bought some Anker cables in the past & they also bend/ become loose quickly
My experience was they last longer than most. Bought 1 x 5 pack > 12 months ago.
Yep, i bought a 4 pack once based on the claims of good quality but mine broke just as quickly as the cheapies on ebay
Too bad the longest is only 1.8m
Wanna get a 3m (the nearest power point is too far from my bed)
Got an MSY nearby?
http://www.msy.com.au/cables/14849-cablelist-cl-u2amru2-3m-3…Or if you need it 5m & have a spare micro USB to plug in
http://www.msy.com.au/cables/14861-partlist-pl-u2amaf5m-5-me…Do you know how the 3m one performs in terms of charging speed?
I have some 3m cables and they still show as 'fast charging'
Sorry no idea. I got some 5m ones from MSY but I use it to power a cam.
you'd probably be rounding that figure off to the nearest billion…
Why not?
I know there is the new type-c but a lot of not so ancient devices still use micro usb
no, but our toys do
I'd say there are far more people still using mini-B than type-C, let alone micro.
But don't we all have a drawer full of micro-B cables from all the gadgets we bought over the years?
There is a reason for that. None of my mini-B cables has ever worn out. I go through one microusb cable every 3 months or so. :)
The theory is that micro-usb is designed so the cables fail, not the socket, which is far more expensive to fix.
But I've had a few micro-usb sockets fail in family's devices.
Newb question.. but these will do QC2 fast charging?
You don't need special cables for qc2. In fact, it is more tolerant of bad cables than regular charging is.
thanks for the responses. maybe i was wrong to specify qc2, not all micro usb cables handle fast charging. just wanted to make sure these will fast charge.
Yeah these will do it fine. I have these as they work well haven't had any issues yet with the connectors and stuff.
I have purchased these previously and am using one now. They are higher quality than the cheap cables I have. They are both less likely to break and they charge my phone faster.
I recommend them.Like others said good to start of with but over time become loose and wobbly and won't charge.
I've always bought the blitzwolf braided cables for their quality/price balance but they're starting to annoy me a bit because of their lack of flexibility.
What's everybody's preferred cable manufacturer suitable for qc3.0 that doesn't break the bank?
Genuine Samsung, can be had for cheap and no other cables have lasted as long for me, or given me flawless connectivity to my PC and Fast Charge.

Cheers. I have a few Samsung micro-USB cables from the kids Galaxy Tabs.
Looking for a good, cheapish brand for my USB-C devices.
I bought a pack of these once via OZb link. They were rubbish. Maybe the quality has improved.
You can buy 1m micro usb cables on ebay for $1 AUD delivered, in single units.
