Saw this last night, not the best deal since it requires $395 annual fee and relatively high min spend.

Better deals worth looking at are:
ANZ black - $0, min spend 2,500k for 75k points and 75 status credits
    HSBC - $199, 3,000k for 60k points

      3000k = $3,000,000 spend?

      • +2

        For you, yes.

    • I recently got the ANZ black…. $0 fee for first year only then is $370 + $55 for "Rewards Program Services Fee".
Also, status credits is only if you do a return trip on Qantas paying on card before Sept 30th

Date has been extended to 31st Jan 2018

    $395 Annual fee.

  • Those with a NAB home loan package can add this to their package for "Free" since you are already paying the 395 for the HL package.

    • Is his a guess or you're certain?

If you are getting a new loan from nab and offered 350000 reward points than you will get 75k points when u get this card(after 4k spending) n rest 270000 points later. If you already have a home loan on a choice package ($395 annual fee) than you can simply add this card in the bundle n receive 75k points with no annual fees for the card.

        • What's your affiliation?

        • How do I tell whether my home loan is on the "Choice Package"?

I have a NAB home loan with platinum CC package.

        • Pm me n i can call you on Monday n let u knw

        • Home loan specialist at NAB

        • Hi adii, can you confirm how we add this card to the our choice package? Is it just a matter of applying for the card online and this happening automatically?

        • With online it might not get automatically added to ur choice package and probably require a call later to call center to get the fees waived(not 100% on this) alternatively pm me ur details n I'll b able to get it done for u Monday once I'm back at work.

Not eligible for bonus points if you have the card as part of home loan package.

      • Rep says otherwise above …..

  • 4k these is pretty high spend to get the rewards.

Book fully refundable accommodation on Expedia a year or so in the future. Qualify for spend. Get points. Cancel hotel. (cancel card)

You could also take up the interest free balance transfer and leave that money in an offset/savings account for the 6 months for extra moneys.

      • Seems like a dodgy way to do it - but I suppose in practice it should work - surely they would want you to pay the bill first before cancelling the card - and they would still be able to remove the points by contacting Qantas?

    Yeah, nah

  • $395 fee, no thanks. Otherwise yes :D

  • what will 75k worth of points get me?

    • -2

      An elephant

    • Or if you play it smart, you might get a house in Sydney.. but for that you have to be smart

      • Very Smart analysis…:)

If you can't go ANZ Black or Westpac the next best deal is the qantasmoney premier card which currently has a half price first year at 149. 60k points, 3k spend over 90 days. 6k min limit, 35k annual income.

  • If I got a homeloan package with NAB, do I get waive of this credit card annual fee?

    • Yes, no fees if u are already paying an annual package fees for ur home loan. If the loan is under 2 names than you can have 1 card each for free.

      • Are you sure that if someone is already on choice package, have been for few years, they will get 75K Qantas Points?

        • Do u have any credit card with ur choice package?

        • @Adii: I have Credit card with my package also my loan is under 2 names. Can you guide how can I avail this offer to receive this bonus points and get annual fees covered under Home loan package.

  • I have a credit card with my choice package but I can assign this card to my shareholder's package. If after I have done that, would I be able to get this card under my choice package with no annual fee and get the bonus points?

    • I'll have to look into ur account to comment better…let me know if u want me to check n pm me ur details
      Full name n mobile

      • You can't have got any bonus points in the last like six months from any card deal with NAB and get another allotment of points. You could assign the existing card to the shareholders package and set up a new card on the choice package. Assuming you pass lending criteria for another card

  • Would I be able to simply replace the existing credit card with my choice package with this new signature card and qualify for the points?

    • No u won't. You will have to cancel the card n apply for new card n it will also depends on wht sort of card do u have at the moment.

    • +1

if you'd got bonus points this year from NAB you wouldn't be eligible for more even if you canceled this one and set up a new one. They keep track of promotional stuff cos we have to buy the points from qantas so it's a "non lending loss" accidentally giving people extra bonuses

  • +1

    Annual fee in title

  • I have a Qantas rewards platinum card with my choice package so do I have to cancel this card and apply for the new one. In doing so, would I be able to get the bonus points?

  • Does anyone know if this is part of nab shareholder benefits waiver?
