  • where is the location?

178 Boundary Rd, Braeside VIC 3195, Australia

  • Hi OP, it will be good if you can include the links for the products.

  • In store only?

    • +5

Yes, but free entry. How generous!

  • Will those Tv's be refurbished?

    • +1

      Hi,

Some TVs will be brand new and some will be refurbished

      • So how would we know? Will there note in front of the TV ?

        • +2

Absolutely, there will be readable signs including prices informing whether the TVs are refurbished or brand new.

          Cheers.

        • +2

@SONIQ Australia: it's the unreadable signs I find incomprehensible.

    • +2

Here's a word to the wise if buying a refurb' TV. Unless you plan to bypass its internal speakers/run a line out to some decent ones, check that its internal speakers are not 'shot'/still sound OK at a reasonably high volume. Most peeps would probably just check that the picture is good I'd imagine, but I reckon a more likely problem with a refurb' would be compromised/somewhat stuffed internal speakers; which you can often only detect at a reasonably high volume.

Hi Rep, how much stock do you have?

It's probably be a good idea to list that beside each item in the description so we aren't turning up to buy a tv & there are only a few available.

    • +1

We have close to one thousand TVs available for sale. Hope to see you at the Sale!

      • +4

Of each? or else his point basically still stands, you could have 900 of the 19" TV's.

  • How good are the Soniq TVs? Somewhat mixed reviews online

    • +4

My mother has a 32 inch LCD Soniq TV she bought a good three years ago and she's never had a problem with it and it's still going strong.

      • Yep I've been using a 32" Soniq LCD for an additional monitor to watch shows/movies, etc. Been working great for 5-6 years. Bargain at $300 when I bought it.

    • +2

In terms of the non-massive brand stuff, they are pretty good, even better when looked at from their price point.

    • Varies a bit.
Been using a 40" as a laptop monitor during the day and am happy enough.Watch a bit of FTA,YouTube and Netflix.
Generally require a bit of tweaking.
Reds require a bit of taming.Ditto brightness and contrast.
Pleasantly surprised actually and I have better gear here.
Bought a 43" as a spare when on special.Still in box.Live in the bush.
Hisense and TCL make better TVs,however at the price …..

    • I have a seven year old Soniq 32" LCD Tv that refuses to die.

      • haha I had a 32" Soniq — it was advertised as the first flat screen TV under $1k (in Australia)…no tuner, not full HD…but cheap at the time

      • +2

Its kind of sad when 7 years is considered a long life span for a TV. (Or any machine with no moving parts).

    • +1

I bought a large Soniq TV 10 years ago (plasma), and it is still working fine to this day. Never had a problem with it. It was cheap at the time too, and it has been/still is used extensively. At one point it was on for about 12 hours per 24, for about 2 years! I have since passed it on to a family member because I've 'upgraded' to an LCD (which uses heaps less power/is about a million times lighter). Frankly, I've been amazed by the 'staying power' of that old Soniq (matched only by my amazement with the 'staying power' of an electric 'Ozito mower I bought once, which survived for almost 10 years despite being mercilessly thrashed on a very regular basis). If I needed another TV, I'd buy a Soniq in a heart-beat. No exaggeration (or affiliation; just tellin' it like it is).

Hey OP, how about giving some more details of each tv so we can determine if it's worth going or not.
Specifying -> 55 “ TV $398 doesn't tell me much except for the size and price.

    Thanks in advance!

    • +1

      I'm assuming that they're all 800 x 640 resolution …. that's why the specs aren't publicized.

PS. No one answers 1300 765 633 … dont bother driving and save the petrol unless you want to be disappointed …

      • +1

Out of interest, why are you assuming 800 x 640?

        • It was supposed to be a joke …. as in humorous, comical, maybe even borderline funny …

          1368 x 768 res was too generous … and dont even dream of a 1920 FHD for $2.50AUD …

  • what is the warranty on refubished items?

    • how many of the 65" in stock?
dont want to buy heaps, just want to know as its a bit of a drive for us

also, I assume by lack of reply means that refurbs have no warranty or 30-90 days?

  • Sucks. I want that Android projector for $199.. :( Why cant I order it online for this price?
