  • Is this really a true Mudman? G9300-1 is the Mudman according to Casio.

    http://www.casio.com/products/watches/g-shock

    • It says Mudman on the dial.

      • -2

        No, I believe there was another post on this and it's not a true mudman.

        Disclaimer: I am not a mudman fan, just based off of the above post.

        • +3

          This IS a genuine G-Shock Mudman. It is just not the current "Master of G" model.

          @TheDoctor: Casio doesn't call it a Mudman on their website. Perhaps they are simply cashing in on the reputation.

          More to the point does this poster roll out similar deals just so he can get referrals? See post above.

          @Possumbly:

          See post above.

          I'm confused, can you expand a bit more on what you see that makes you think I post deals just to get referrals?

          @Possumbly:

          Let's try this again. I actually own this watch but let me make this totally clear for you. This time actually follow the link.

          http://products.g-shock.com/asia-mea/en/_detail/G-9000-1V/

          No only is it titled as "Mudman - Mud resist", it says "Mudman" at least three times in the description. They've even put it in big capital letters for you.

          How about you do your research properly instead of posting garbage and throwing around baseless accusations? @WatchNerd not only brings great deals to the table, he knows his stuff.

        • @WatchNerd: The similar post dated 23/2/17 referred to above.

        • @TheDoctor: How about you open your eyes and look at the link I posted above before you shoot your mouth off. The watch I referenced is clearly labelled MUDMAN while the other cheaper model has no label, although it has the mudman title on the watch as the OP said. If he "knew his stuff" as you believe a simple answer would have resolved the original question immediately: "the watch referenced 9000 1V is a much older version" (see below). No rocket science required.

          I've looked further and the model above is an old version of the Mudman - released 2006. Anyone looking for THE MUDMAN, as in the latest model of this legendary watch, should look for the 9300.

          @Possumbly:

          Nope, there is no link to my referral code on that post either.

          Admittedly I have posted my referral link in two or three out of my 220 deal posts and I see nothing wrong with that.
          Also once an Amazon deal post hits about 25 votes, the system automatically posts the Op's referral link, so Ozbargain don't have a problem with it either. Here is an example.

          I commented within that post and I confirm it is indeed a Mudman but without all the features some people identify with Mudman. Similar to a Mercedes-Benz C180 not being a 500SL AMG but it's still a Merc.

  • Had this one back in my high school, now I'm about to graduate from my master's degree. Long-living Mudman!

    Thanks OP, I grabbed a Seiko- fantastic price for a great watch

  • Got my Seiko today, very happy with it. Only negative with the whole experience is that Auspost don't track singpost parcels once they are in the country, so although technically it was sent with tracking, tracking ended with 'sent to AU'

    The watch itself is great, as a lot of commentators have said it doesn't wear as big as the dimensions would suggest, due to the shape.

    • Good to hear, that watch should last you a lifetime, with maybe a service in 20-25 years time.
