    Good price, good post.

  • That's NOT a Mudman.

    This is your watch: http://www.casio.com/products/watches/g-shock/g9000-1v

    (listed as "mud resistant")

The Casio G-Shock Mudman's are way different (solar powered, bazillion different sensors etc)
    (I love my Mudman)

Camel price check on your watch shows average pricing of $63 US.
Whilst your price of $57 is cheaper, it was in the $40's a few months ago.

Not trying to tank your deal, just sayin that on first glance this looks awesome because of the "Mudman" title and don't want anyone jumping on it without knowing all details.

      omg.

I accept you are being helpful. Have a plus-vote. OP's error is understandable when established vendors do so too …
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Casio-G-Shock-MUDMAN-Digital-Mens… (714 sold!)

        • +3

Well I put Mudman in the title because Casio have written it on the dial of the watch.
          Are Casio wrong?

it was in the $40's a few months ago.

Camel shows the lowest price was US$47.11 on Dec 11 2016. Not sure where you saw it for $40.00?
If you are comparing prices on Camel - this deal is US$52.05.

@WatchNerd: Yes, I concede this is another excellent example of your superior knowledge. Time for a cup of coffee …

Presumably Member UFO's specimen was much more expensive.

          @WatchNerd:

          Minor detail.

        • All I was saying was that when someone speaks of a Mudman normally, they are talking about a specific type of watch with specific abilities/features.

The fact that Casio want to market an inferior watch with the same label isn't the point.

I was simply highlighting that this particular watch isn't a G-Shock Mudman as commonly known, and isn't the $300 watch people might otherwise think it is.

Take it anyway you like, I just thought the title of G-Shock Mudman for $75 needed further clarification.

I didn't neg the deal (even though it has been cheaper and is only $5 cheaper than average pricing), I just wanted to clarify it.

          Happy days.

@UFO: No probs, I didn't have a go at you either, just clarifying why I put "Mudman" in the title. I love discussing watches, so the more comments the better.

Amazon have this watch & most G-Shocks at the lowest price, so Camel is a very good reference to check past prices & averages.

The average price on Camel is US$63.43 which goes back to Dec 2008, this deal is US$52.05 which is US$11.35 below average. It's also US$4.06 above the lowest price. Camel doesn't include postage in their prices.

You can't neg a deal if the price was cheaper in the past, you need to find it cheaper today.

        • Fair enough bud, just didn't want to offend is all.

        • @WatchNerd: And much cheaper than that eBay vendor who sold 714 for $118.90.

  • I'd really like a g-shock but I have puny wrists and I'm afraid they're just going to be too big.

I know there's some 47mm varieties of there which I could get away with but I'm having a lot of trouble consistently finding them.

    • G-Shocks are meant to wear big, but it's probably best to stick with the smaller sizes.

The G-Shock Classic DW9052-1V is 48.5mm. Price is approx AU$50.45 Shipped with the US$5.00 off referral link on any Amazon post & using a parcel pick up point - US$38.95 + $4.89 Shipping = $43.84 Only 1 left in stock.

      • Thanks for the reply, ended up going with your suggestion from Amazon. On another note, being a watch nerd, how many do you have?

        • I only have about 10 watches, a couple being Skmei cheapo's which are great for what you pay.

The Sanda version of the Skmei 1134 might interest you as it comes in a small model here for $6.47 Shipped
All colours apart from white are negative displays.
          It's a homage of the G-Shock DW5600E-1V

Just a small note. I got this watch, it's certainly big and impressive in size. However the let down was the size of the display. Surprisingly small digits and Hard to read. But I also got the neg display version like I was some covert operator and that certainly didn't help.

Props to watchnerd though. I get all excited to check out the finds this guy digs up. Quality deals.

Casio's use of the "Mudman" moniker on the watch is misleading as it is not in the "Mudman" range.

    • Exactly right mate… that's the point I was trying to make above. Cheers.

    • pretty dodgy by Casio IMO

  • Hi,

Is this watch an original Casio?
    https://www.amazon.com/Casio-Chronograph-Quartz-Stainless-Ca…

    Or are they replicas?

    Thank you

      Original Casio.

OP is right - this IS a Mudman. It is the G-9000 model from 2006 which was the previous model legitimately released as the second-generation "Master of G" G-Shock Mudman (hence the branding). The original was the DW-8400 from memory. (http://world.g-shock.com/asia-mea/en/products/master_of_g/mu…)

The current version that everyone is referring to is the G-9300 released in 2011 that has Tough Solar, Twin Sensors and Multi-Band 6 etc as a update to this model in the "Master of G" lineup.

I actually own one of the watches and it does have the same mud-resistant design as the current watch, but it has less features and is still one hell of a watch. For this wondering about size, this is actually smaller than the O/S G-Shock case models like the GA-100's etc at around 55mm. I have a fairly small wrist and it actually fits perfectly at the 45mm size.
