OK this isn't a deal. This isn't a bargain. It's not free. You don't get special pricing
But some of these numbers are pretty damn good!!!
Saw them at my local shop

@illumination: Assuming that's the case and also assuming Amaysim can only distribute numbers allocated to the Optus network that only leaves us with 11 and 22!
Thanks op but I don't see any gold number. They are just normal numbers. My old number is 10 times better than these.
When you sign up with Telechoice online you can pick up your own number. If you want you could find a gold number in there. I found 2 :)
Does anyone know if there's any money in good landline numbers? Can't imagine there is these days :)
My number ends in 4 sixes.
I used to get random satanic dudes ringing me up and calling me satan.
Would my number be worth anything
No.
Yes
voice mail should say hell satanic you sole has been taken. press one. to hang up now.
I spent a few hours refreshing the Optus site back in the day when I signed up, it would give 10 numbers to choose from.
04 XXX Y 000 Y
Sometimes I'll say "triple X" and they'll dial "3 X" …
Haha, I've had my number since 2002 and I remember back in the day I got to choose it. So I chose my birthday (not sure if I should have…). It rolls nicely off the tongue, and I'd be devastated to lose it! Don't even get much spam which is great.
Why would you pay i got mine for $2 sim card in vodafone box
What's special about those numbers? Can't see any that stands out
they target chinese, chinese want to have all 3 and 8
Was looking to buy a Pixel XL off a guy on Gumtree last week… his number was 0401 999 999 - I'd love something like that just for the cool factor!
If not deal and not bargain why post?
Yes it is because people usually have to pay to get the special numbers

I remember when I first got my number from Optus, many, many years ago. I sat there with the consultant going through all the available numbers on the screen and they were doing searches for me (getting annoyed but also helpful). There was not anything with 3 8s in a row but I did get 041X 88X X88 which is pretty easy to say to people on the phone and usually Chinese people I have given it to have said it is a good number. It looks like as per link in the article earlier this year that you can buy and sell numbers on this site and get your number valued: https://www.phonenumbers.net.au/
Pretty sure when I got my Optus plan last year or so the option to choose your number was called golden numbers or something. You didn't actually get to nominate but it spits out a list of numbers that seem to have a pattern (probably by computer algorithims). As opposed to just getting one randomly assigned. It cost $50 from memory.
Guessing these guys are just playing on that naming.
But kind of pointless for actual golden numbers these days as the ones that are considered good are the auspicious ones (Asians love the number 8 because in Chinese it sounds like fortune or something or other. 4 sounds like death so bad blah blah.) and those ones are all gone (hence the stories of 'oh years ago I got…')
People won't really pay for a number that is easy to remember but one they think is lucky and aspicious they'll pay through the nose.
Funny side story. When I went to NZ and picked up a prepaid sim for my gf and I the lady working the counter gives us 2, then when I mentioned I wanted to take a look at the numbers she then opened up a secret drawer where all her Chinese colleagues kept the numbers that were 'good' (again just scraps but better than nothing).
They knew my number, pun intended.
cant believe that people would be drawn by this…..
last 4 digit of my numbers' mean having complicated relationship with others in Cantonese :)
Are you sure this is for Optus The Pines in Elanora, QLD? Because that picture isn't of that store…
Go in to any Licensed Telstra Dealer and ask them nicely to get a you decent number and they can search manually - Telstra Robina are always happy to for Post-Paid customers anyway.
@unclesnake: LOL true..! Smartass!
