This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

          I tried E10 for 6 months, the engine started vibrating and not worth the money in terms of price/distance compared to U91.

          But I mostly use P98 now (since 711 locking) sometimes P95/U91

    hi guys - new to the 7/11 app.. have downloaded it and was about to lock a price but then it asks for amount and a credit card. So does that mean it like a pre-paid card? Once i lock the amount will it deduct from my credit card straight away? and what happens if i don't fill the fuel? I am assuming I could use the money next time..

      Yes you will need to add credit to your 711 digital gift card in order to lock the price.
      But when you pay, u can pay with a credit card so you don't have to keep topping up the 711 giftcard, plus you'll get credit card points.

        ok thanks.. so once i top-up say for $30 those $30 will be blocked for 7/11 isnt it?
        what if i change my mind and fill from say wollies..?

          The $30 will be in the digital giftcard forever until you spend it.
          If you locked and changed your mind then go fill up at woolies. The locked price will expire in 7 days or you can fuel up a few litres to use the locked price.

    I always keep an amount in the digital 711 giftcard for locking fuel prices and haven't topped up for months.
    Does anyone know whether that amount will expire and disappear from the digital giftcard?

        6 Expiry Date

        6.1. Expiry dates can be found on the receipt or voucher when purchasing a gift card or when using Gift Card to purchase products in a 7-Eleven store.

        6.2. The expiry date is 24 months from the later of the date of issue or the last time the card was used to purchase goods and/or services. Any changes to the expiry date will be printed on the 7-Eleven receipt or voucher each time the card is used. Expiry dates can also be viewed by logging into your registered account at www.7eleven.com.au/giftcards or by calling 7-Eleven Customer Service on 1800 247 711.

        6.3. A reloadable7-Eleven Card cannot be used after its expiry date. Any Card Balance that has not been used (that is, redeemed) at expiry is reduced to zero and can no longer be used. No refunds are provided for any unused Card Balance at expiry.

          'Card Balance' has the same meaning as in the Reloadable 7-Eleven Card Terms and Conditions.

          It does mean balance expire after 24 months if no use.You need to use it occasionally to extend the expiry date.

          I did a split payment and paid 1c with the reloadable gift card while paying for fuel now the expiry is 21 Sept 2019.

    Just a note E-services system is down nation wide! I just visited 7-eleven half an hour ago so you might want to ring to confirm if it's back up.

        Exactly you can't use a voucher. They had to take down my details and promised to refund me as credit to my 7-eleven account. That itself was a bit dodgy as I paid with credit card; they should refund to that but I didn't push it.

          I've had a similar experience. In the FAQs in the app it outlines directions of how to get a refund. I was given a little bit extra for the inconvenience.

    Has anyone’s fuel lock failed to work when paying?

    I had a fuel lock I did in Brisbane (not GPS-spoofed), and tried to use it in Melbourne (keysborough- Cheltenham Rd) but the system wouldn’t let the attendant apply the lower price after he scanned the barcode.

    He said it had happened twice already that day, and to email the 24-7 support email but I’ve emailed twice already (Thursday and Friday) and haven’t gotten a response. So much for 24/7 support…

    I had locked in at the bottom of the Brisbane cycle (was going to fill up, then lock again but fuel worked out 6c/L cheaper with the targeted Coles Express voucher), and Melbourne was at the top of their cycle, so the difference was 28c/L (x52.5L)

      I've had it happen at the same station twice.
      The first time, the guy scanned and it didn't come up.
      Switched machines and it worked.
      The second time, a different attendant scanned it, entered it manually, rang up head office who said just to pay the full price and they would reimburse me. I asked him to give the other machine a go first as it was over $20 off and I didn't want to risk not getting it back.
      First scan and it worked right away.
