This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD
  • ULP
  • 111.9/litre

Step 3: Upvote the comment if you found it helpful

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

    It appears that Canberra's 7/11s are not showing fuel prices in the app today, so you can lock in the Wollongong prices which are much cheaper just by using the normal fuel lock!

      Fuel watch works but you have to use the map and zoom out.

      For NSW:
      https://www.fuelcheck.nsw.gov.au
      Use Map mode zoom out as far as possible then look for the red cirles then select it, check and repeat.

      For WA:
      http://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/fuelwatch/pages/public/cheape…
      Select fuel type and click search.

      All Other States:
      https://petrolspy.com.au
      Use Map mode pick a state, zoom out as far as possible and the click on list mode. Pick another state and repeat.

      Report back the cheapest price you've found!

    There is such a wide spread of petrol prices across the country.. Down here in Melbourne we are getting ripped off as we are getting nowhere near these prices at the bottom of the petrol cycle. This thread is invaluable so thanks to all those who contribute to it. It is saving me at least $10 - $15 every fillup.

      Odd the app says no U91 near Gateshead but FuelWatch App has it listed as 103.7. Had to go to Charlestown for 103.7 as well.

    Is there a way to be notified when Melbourne is the lowest in the cycle? I usually check https://www.racv.com.au/on-the-road/driving-maintenance/fuel…
    But if there was a way of being notified instead of having to check that would be really handy.

      Not that I know of. If you keep a close eye on movements/stations around you then if some rise by 20+ cents then buy at the next station you see with still the low price.

      Best way is to subscribe to this thread and make sure you get every email. Set up an autorule in your inbox or use IFTT app to make it turn into a push notification.

    Does the NSW fuel watch work for anyone? In regards to the whole of state search in the title bar of this post.
    It previously worked for me and now I can't get it to load anything unless I plug in a specific post code

      Try and report it to them, they may not be aware it broke. If they want to maximise competition they should bring back the original functionality.

      It works if you go to the main page, map view, zoom out, then return to list view. The saved search links don't work anymore.

      You can save your settings for the search on the main page.

    Not 7-Eleven but Woolworths Noble Park, VIC is 102.9 for U91. Fantastic price if you're driving nearby.
    7-Elevens in the area are 103.9, which makes Belmont, NSW still the cheapest 7-Eleven at 103.7.

        Try typing 585 Princess Hwy Noble Park in the GPS search, then that should bring up the Sandown 7-eleven as your closest store, which has these prices.

      I'm using an old version of the app so it might have changed now. If you check prices at too many stations in a week, a message will pop up stating you have 10 checks left, and it will pop up until you reach 0. You can't check prices then till Monday when the counter resets. Not sure what the limit is, but is must be lot, I've only triggered the message once or twice.
