7-Eleven Fuel App Watch - Nationwide - January 2017 to January 2022 » All Comments

    • Never mind - restarted Mac & iPhone all working about now :)

  • I've rooted my LG G4, installed Lineage OS 16, installed the old 7-eleven app (v1.10) which runs on versions of Android below 10. Installed the latest version of Magisk. Installed GPS Joystick, hidden this. Hidden magisk, Hidden 7-eleven app. When I try and log in I get an error "No internet connectivity!" Error code Foxtrot.

    Any ideas?

    • +1

      Connect wifi? XD

Try to check if you can access P03 on the aosp browser to verify connectivity issue is localised to the 7/11 app?

Also, note the 7/11 authorisation login doesn't play well with the lineage OS default browser (aosp)

You'll need to get the g-apps package and get the package suite that at least includes google chrome

      • Thanks mate. I definitely have a working internet connection. I'll download the gapps package with Chrome as a system app and let you know how it goes.

      • I installed the stock gapps version which includes chrome as the system browser and still no luck unfortunately.

        • Have you accessed a webpage in the phone using Chrome browser? (Not in the 7/11 login page)

          • @cwongtech: Yes, no problems

            • @gyrex: Very strange

Done the good ol' turn it off and on again?

              • @cwongtech: haha yeh, tried that. Thanks for your help. I'll keep trying to solve it

                • @gyrex:

installed Lineage OS 16, installed the old 7-eleven app (v1.10) which runs on versions of Android below 10.

Hold on, why are you using the old 7-eleven app?

                  Maybe that's the issue?

We're at version 2.4.4 at the moment

LG G4 has Lineage OS 17, I think your issue is you're using the old 7-eleven app which was decommissioned

                  https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-lineageos-…

                  • @cwongtech: Lineage 17 has been withdrawn from the LG G4 and is no longer available. The new app is only compatible with Android 10 and up. This could be the issue. I'll try running the old app on another phone and see what happens

                  • @cwongtech: Yep, that appears to be the issue - same error message on a non-rooted device. Looks like I'm stuck :(

                    • @gyrex: No other secondary devices in your household?

  • I've downloaded the zip for iFakeLocation. The first step is to run the .exe file. I can't find an .exe file anywhere in the folder.

What am I doing wrong please guys?

    • Are you sure your anti-virus software is not blocking it? I just downloaded the latest release and the .exe file is included in the zip file.
      Size = 113,152 bytes
      SHA-256 checksum = 8e5a5c37091eb7e460f14cbe84f99e1d2f236b09d52a88e1dc0b46d941d167a7

      • At https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation , I can see the green Code button. I click that, the zip downloads. But the SHA-256 checksum doesn't match. Also, I have 206,767 bytes. Something very obvious but I can't put my finger on it.

        • +6

Ah I see where you're going wrong. So what you're doing is pulling the entire source code repository. Handy for if you want to make changes or compile the application yourself to verify there's no funny business going on.

What you want to do is download from the "Releases" page which has the application built already. https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation/releases

Also, the size and checksum I gave was for the .exe file only.

          • @keyman: Beauty, I got it now! I will try this later tonight and I'm sure I can get it to work now. Thanks for all your help. If this works, a coffee is coming his way!

          • @keyman: In the words of Borat - "great success!"

            Cheers mate!

ifakelocation working fine on iphone 8 on ios 14.4

    Don't forget to donate: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/master131

    • I got 6S on 14.4
iFakelocation says "Your device's iOS version is not supported at this time."

Do you mind helping lock a 91 price to my account?

      • Hey mate sorry for the slow reply. Happy to help, PM me.

  • -3

I don’t understand why everyone is messing around with all the Android bullshit.

Get an iPhone. Get a second hand cheap one. It might cost you $200.

Download 3u Tools. Lock in a mock location.

It’s literally so simple but for some reason everyone wants to mess around rooting androids etc.

You’ll deadset pay for the phone within 10 refills.

    • +7

Well because with a prepared Android phone you don't need a computer to assist you, and most people have secondary old android phones lying around.

I can lock from my car as long as there is internet connection via mobile data.

It’s literally so simple but for some reason everyone wants to mess around rooting androids etc.

Well, I guess some of us want to make do with what we already have and learn something on the way

  • Am I correct that the My 7-Eleven app will only work on Android 10 and up? If so, does anyone know a really cheap Android 10 phone which can be rooted?

    • +3

Find one that has lineage os 17 available
      My working fleet of choppers:
      Xperia Z5
      Xperia Z5c
      Pixel 2
Samsung A20 definitely can be done (without lineage OS 17)

I've seen it done on a Samsung S7 before
Any other phones newer than the above should definitely be able to get this up and running.

      • I couldn't download the app from the play store but I downloaded the apk from apkmonk and it's working fine on my rooted (Magisk) LG G4 running Lineage 17 :) Thanks mate!

        • LG G4 running Lineage 17 :) T

I thought you said L17 was withdrawn? Congrats on getting it working btw!

          • @cwongtech: Ah sorry, Lineage 16. It's running Android 9/Pie.

            • @gyrex: …interesting that it works!

              • @cwongtech: I have a ZTE Axon 7, rooted, installed linage 17.1 (android 10), Magisk + Smalli patcher w/ mock location, installed magisk hide, magiskhide props config, gps joystick. When i try to lock, i get Error E01. According to another post, I need to pass Magisk safetynet. According to Magisk, I pass the basic integrity but failes cts profile check. Tried to google for solution, can't get it to work. I think I will give up already at least for this particular phone… just sharing my experience :)

                • @edwink: Try my solution posted here

Fixed up CTS profile check for one of my devices

                  • +1

@cwongtech: Thanks cwongtech that worked like a charm!
I now have a problem with GPS Joystick, no matter what, it won't 'teleport' to the new location, it just gets stuck at the old fake location (Orange) and doesn't move to the new set location (Bankstown)… What am i doing wrong? Is there another app apart from GPS Joystick that i can try?

Edit: I managed to fixed this by clearing the cache on the GPS Joystick app… i don't know why it was doing that but it worked. Helicopter fully working now :) Thanks

  • Anyone get the E03 device error? :(

What are people using for iOS (non jailbroken)

    • +3

      See here

      Suggested resolution:
Let it chill for a minute before you try lock

Edit: According to barnlord letting it sit for a minute and locking in again seems to do the trick with "Error E03". Will try it out, and then report back - Lizard Spock on 22/09/2020 - 07:39

Edit 2: It actually works. Let it sit for about 45secs - 1min before clicking 'lock' and no error! - Lizard Spock

      • Credit to barnlord, from Lizard Spock 🙂

    • +3

iFakeLocation or 3utools. It's listed at the bottom of the post.

    • +1

I am getting the E03 error as well, not letting me lock even after letting it sit for 1 min on the lock page.

      • Were you able to resolve the issue?

  • +2

    iPhone X
    iOS 14.4 jailbroken with checkrain
    Relocate reborn to fake location
    A-bypass to bypass jailbreak detection.

Price lock works fine. You will miss passcode lock of iPhone due to checkra1n

    • Any alternative for relocate reborn?
A-Bypass is working for all the apps except 7 11 app.
      Thanks.
      Apple iphone 11 pro max
      IOS 14.2

    • Did checkra1n get an update? The official page still says future statement for iphone x. Where did you get the version of it that works on ios 14 for iphone x?

      • In checkra1n go to options
Select on allow untested ios version
        And select on skip a11

Pm ur details and fuel type for price lock. I am free for another hour before bed.

  • nvm- found out.

  • I'm getting a "We've detected your location isn't true" error message when attempting to lock in a price. I'm running Magisk, Joystick GPS and have hideen the 7-eleven app from Magisk. Any ideas? It used to work ok…

    • +2

There was an issue with magisk. Somehow it uninstaller itself so I've just reinstalled magisk and it's working fine now.

  • +1

Getting the E03 error on the new IOS update, anyone else getting it, even after waiting 1min to lock. Any suggestions to resolve please? :)

    • For all IOS users, do NOT update for the time being.

      • +2

Performed a factory reset and reinstalled, able to lock prices again as norm

        • Phew, can breathe again! :)

      • This worked for me as well

    Im in 14.4 working fine.

  • I got 6S on 14.4

anyone had a fix for that?

    • try 3utools, works with 14.4

damn, got notification at 10.02am.. tried to lock in at 10.05 and was gone. assume there was a delay. got to be quicker next time

      • Ooo, you can set notifications? How!? Where?

        • ElevenMe app in the Play Store, not sure about Apple.

        • +1

ProjectZeroThree lets you set up email alerts

          Total of 15 clicks required?

Really really easy, no need for another app.

ElevenMe app in the Play Store, not sure about Apple.

Relies on ProjectZeroThree API/data anyway, so why not just get it straight from the source…

          • +1

@cwongtech: Because some prefer app notifications over just another email.

            • +1

@sween64: Email push notifications do exactly the same thing for the purposes required (alert of fuel price movement)

All phones come with an email app by default lol.

ProjectZeroThree emails comes straight from the source.
ElevenMe just adds another layer to it (and ads)

              • @cwongtech: I noticed that you're really against this app.

                Why is that?

                • +8

@Hero: I'm against laziness and also leeching off other people's work

Our coding god master131 made email notifications (thus push) available a long time ago. June 2018
                  Example of it working here..]

ElevenMe was first listed on the Play store end of Nov 2019 by Bernard Kung, a lot of shameless plugs on the 7/11 posts..

Without Master131, there would be no iFakeLocation (alternatives include 3utools I suppose)

More importantly, no ProjectZeroThree.info to show us where to go

Make sure you buy Master131 coffees!

                  • +1

@cwongtech: Just my opinion as a person working in IT
mobile app has a different purpose than a website / email
push notification is a handy feature to notify user of the messages they are concern about

I totally understand that master131 has spend lots of effort and his time in building all of these
and personally I have been buying many coffees to him to show my appreciation

However, I do not agree that consuming P03 API in the Elevenme is a "steal' of other's work
many apps utilize API to show data to user in mobile view for easier access to user
eg. iOS official Weather app is using Weather.com data
It doesn't mean that user cannot go to weather.com from mobile browser
but app provides much easier usability in this use case

Just my personal view…. and still, appreciate all the great effort this community brings to me
and please continue to support master131

                      Hello fellow IT worker!

For me, it's always function over form, what the purpose is for, doesn't matter the label.

Emails also give you push notifications as well (if you've configured it to do so)

Projectzerothree.info bookmark on your home screen and 2-3 minutes to enter your parameters are all that's needed for master131's email alerts

                      • +2

@cwongtech: In the eleven me app you can swipe the fuel over and it has button to copy the coordinates to clipboard then you switch to the gps joystick app and tap set location and then press paste. Way faster method than doing it through website. You should check it out before you dismiss it.

I find email notifications inconvenient as I get so many emails I just disable that and I don't want fuel pricing emails coming in either.

                        • @Agret:

Lol just create a new email.. it's not that hard

Way faster method than doing it through website.

You can also copy and paste the location name, GPS joystick does co-ordinate search without the need of assistance for another app to spit out co-ordinates to copy and paste..

                  • +4

@cwongtech: Couldn't agree more with you mate. All the app is doing is generating income for this leech off the back of the hard work done from master131.

I've bought master131 a coffee previously but I'll be buying him more for all the savings I've accrued from his amazing work.

Hi everyone, inspired by master131 and keen for a weekend challenge I've created another option to check for fuel prices.

    Introducing Refinery

At it's core it's not much different to P03, however not wanting to piggyback off master131's work it does source it's own data. One feature to note is that you can select a price to copy the location's coordinates to your clipboard.

I also made a Twitter bot that posts a morning and evening price update, as well as any price drops seen during the day. I had hoped to be able to finish the ability to receive your own custom price alerts via DMs by today, but wonderful weekend weather put a delay to that, so it might be done sometime later this week.

If you have any feature requests or if you encounter any bugs or issues, please let me know. Happy to hear what you think!

    • Is the data sourced from 7-Eleven?

Excellent looking website. I’ve also followed the Twitter Bot because why not.

      • +1

Thanks! Yes the data is from them.

        Weird AF.

That video definitely helped, thanks for sharing

        Edit:
Pixel 2 passes, E01 error cleared. Android 11
Xperia Z5 appears to not accept the safetynet check, attempted to install the module without success. Lineage OS 17
Xperia Z5C appears to not be affected by E01, yet. For some reason, safetynet is passing on this device. Lineage OS 17

        • My pixel 2 still gives me E01 error after getting the safetynet clearance thing… did you do anything else?

Magisk 22.0, Magisk hide, hide props config, safetynet fix 1.1.1

            • +8

              @RTF: Okay..
So it appears this method is what I used (using my own logic + combined youtube video's guidance)

              hide props config

We need this, I've seen a tutorial that uses Busybox, but we don't need it.
Magisk Hide Props Configc ombined with a Terminal app should be all we need.
Now Lineage OS, allows a local Terminal app to be enabled in developer options.
However, in the event you don't have it, go to the app store and download Termux and give it SuperUser rights (it'll ask you for it when you start the app up).

Requirements to fix up cts profile manually:
              - Hide Props Config module (magisk manager)
              - Terminal App (Termux for example)

              Then follow from here

              Text instructions below
              1) Start up Terminal/Termux, Grant Superuser rights
              2) Type: su
              3) Type: props
              4) Type: 1, Press <Enter> We are selecting "Edit device Fingerprint" option
              5) Type: f, Press <Enter> We are selecting "Pick a certified fingerprint"
              6) Select your manufacturer (in this case, whatever number is next to Samsung, so should be 26, but check), press <Enter>
              7) Select your phone model (in my case, Xperia Z5, but it had 7.1.1, the last official android version released, but it appeared to work), press <Enter>
Note, my Xperia Z5 has LineageOS 17 installed on it

              8) Type: y, Press <Enter>

              Phone should restart automatically
Then check whether the cts profile has a tick next to it :)

              Hope that helps.

              • @cwongtech: Thanks, gave it a try after roboot device wont boot stuck on the 3 spinning dots during start up. Tried re installing dotos from recovery but still stuck, will odin flash stock. I have a redundant s9 ill install magisk on that. • Using uTools to lock location, but the price doesn't show up in-app. Maybe the price websites have not updated?

Mods, would it be useful to add Refinery to the OP?

  • +19

Hi everyone! It took another 12 days and a complete change of approach but I'm happy to announce Refinery now has custom fuel price alerts via Twitter DMs!

Simply send a DM to the Twitter bot (@RefineryFYI) with the fuel type and maximum price that you want to be alerted for (e.g. U91 110) and you’ll get alerts if the cheapest price equals or is lower than your maximum price. You can set alerts for as many fuel types as you like.

Please let me know if you encounter any bugs or issues, I’ve tested it as much as I can but you might find something when you go to use it.

  • Hi all, I can no longer sign in to my app - it's coming up with the error "Invalid Discovery document".

I've reinstalled the app and restarted my phone which hasn't helped. Has anyone had this issue before?

    • The app appears to be down at the moment. I couldn’t log in and either could my wife.

    • Same here

      Working again now

    • server was down for a bit this morning.

  • Still having issues where the sign in button doesn't work on iPhone. I tried reinstalling app and no solution. Just seeing if anyone else has come across this problem?

    • No issues here on an iPhone 12 and 8.

    • "turn off content blockers" in the AA (text size) drop down on the login page

      • On my iPhone, I don't seem to have this as an option. Very strange.

    • I had issues when I made a browser other than Safari the default browser, not sure if that's still an issue with the 7-eleven app

      • @sween64 - Did you have the same issue I'm facing?

        • No. Not exactly the same.

      • +1

Same issue if not using Chrome for rooted Android (default is AOSP browser for LineageOS)

  • WIth 3utools and iphone,
anyone having issues where when it reboots to reset you location, all the messages in your message app reset and all appear with the same date and time?

  • Folks,
Unable to use the ifakelocation on windows 10 x86 64bit. I have tried both versions from the GitHub repo.
    ifakelocation-v1.5.0-windows-x86
    ifakelocation-v1.4.1-windows-x86

In fact, I have been struggling for couple of days now to get this entire location hack to work on iPhone.

It has been slightly painful but trying different permutations & combinations in the past have worked with small little tweaks (ifakeloc version or browser or itunes connectivity etc).

    Errors I get this time:

    iPhone iOS: 14.4.1 (latest)
iFakelocation.exe opens in MS Edge browser by default. I have tried these on IE and Chrome as well. It had worked in the past but no luck this time.

Case 1: Without opening iTunes app on the computer (it worked a few times without this)
Error 1. Unable to mount developer image - Locked screen
Error 2. Unable to start simulatelocation service - Unlocked screeen

Case2: running iTunes (as normal user) and iTunes (as admin) - (it didn't work without iTunes so had to connect phone to iTunes and then launch iFakeloc to get this working)
Error 1: Unable to mount developer image - Locked Screen
Error 2: Mount failed with status: N/A and error: ImageMountFailed - Unlocked Screen

    Chrome:
Unable to mount developer image - locked screen
Mount failed with status: N/A and error: ImageMountFailed

Has anyone faced similar issue and resolved this? Please help. TIA

P.S: Considering it is a Windows laptop, I have restarted the laptop twice but in vain :-)

    • Considering you’re on iOS 14.4.1 has iFL downloaded the developer image for iOS 14.4.1? v1.5 of iFL should do this automatically when first launched and connected. It will appear in a new folder called DeveloperImages next to the iFL executable.

Maybe as iOS 14.4.1 is so new there is no developer image available. It could be worth opening a new issue on GitHub.

Deleting old developer images may also help as suggested here.

      Otherwise, have you tried 3utools?

      • Thank you @Sween64.
Yes, I had already downloaded 14.4.1 developer images for 1.4.1 iFL a couple of weeks back and it had worked then. I use this once every 2-3 weeks and iFL has been a pain without much info to troubleshoot.

iFL 1.5 should do this automatically as it has the 14.4 developer images in it.

I only have apple phones at home (not an Android user).
I have explored 3utools in detail but looks like I will have to use that option. 3utools easier to use & compatible with iOS devices too?

        • @sweeney64 - Tried 3utools also.

          I got an E16 error.
"Failed to modify the simulation position! (Error code: -16 can try to restart the device)"

Of course, restarted my iPhone and the Windows laptop.

And guess what - both 3utools and iFL worked this time.
I had restarted devices but not sure what was the issue. .I will add this case to my list too.

          Thanks @sween64

          • @Oz Migrant: 3utools appears to provide better troubleshooting tips. I had a failed to mount error on iFL. I tried 3utools and it told me the iPhone screen had to be unlocked. I went back to iFL with an unlocked screen and it worked.

    • wow - i thought they cant do one price lock a day (professional driver plan) unless theyre using multiple accounts

      • You can do 2. Won't let you do a third for 24 hours.

        Edit standard 7-11 app.

        No ABN in that website.

        • +2

Previously it was two lock per device per day.
Now you can multiple lock from same device but different accounts.
I don’t know the limits. I’ve done around 10 locks in same day for friends in ozbargain.
P.S:Please do not send me new request to lock. I won’t reply.

      • They should bring 2 lock per device per day back to deter people like these

        • You can always spoof the android ID if they do that… but it would certainly help.

      • +1

How does one go about doing this?

        • +5

Could report it to shoppy that they're getting money by breaking t&cs of another app. Chances are, the lowlife behind this is in the forum, if they don't shut the store, I will write to shopify.

We can also spam the gmail account, etc.

          • +2

@cheapass88: What's the point in waiting?

I'm happy to report them to shopify for breaking 7-eleven terms of service and using intellectual property without permission.

If they want to stoop that low then this is how things work.

    • But when I run Joystick gps it asks me to enable it in Mock locations.
      How do I overcome it?

By.. enabling it in Mock locations..?

Open Settings>Developer Options (spam tap on the android build number if you haven't already)
      Mock locations>Select GPS Joystick

      • I knew it but I thought we are not allowed to put it in mock locations as 7-11 can recognize it from there.
But apparently it's working so thank you so much for your help!

        • +3

          smali patch

This turns mock location into native location

Since you installed the smali patcher module, 7/11 can't detect it

It's been nine months since the above comment

You clearly have an android phone, why can't you spend a few hours setting it up yourself?

Learn to fly yourself. Flying our helicopters for others costs the pilots valuable time (our lifetime).

Knowing our passengers are not willing to learn to fly is also quite annoying, and once they're done with a free ride, they try and find another helicopter offering free rides.

So you can either learn to fly, or you can walk.

      • +3

Jesus mate……this is the grumpiest I have seen you.

        Are you ok?

        • +4

I'm okay, thanks for asking, fellow chopper pilot :)

      • He's not lazy to post 6 barga…..i mean questions. Nvm.

      • -4

Will learn how to fly when there is a no rooting method. Thanks for your concern.

Nobody is forcing you to fly for anyone, so there is no reason to get angry and frustrated at them.

I do appreciate people helping others to lock in, would help too if there was no rooting required.

Thanks again for giving up your time helping others.

        • +2

Why don't you buy an Iphone 7 or 8? I also gave up using my spare android phone and managed to find an Iphone 8 (with a broken camera) for $100 and flew around for my wife, family and friends. It'll pay itself off in a couple of months.

          Check Gumtree or Facebook marketplace.

          • @Hero: Thanks for the advice.
            Ill look into this avenue

            • +1

@livingroompc: In case you're actually interested in setting up your own helicopter..

              $159 investment for a Realme C3
There are definitely custom ROMs including LineageOS 18 on XDA

This is definitely rootable, and thus.. 7/11 helicopter ready

I've set up a Samsung A20 to be a 7/11 chopper if you can find one lying around as well, those are dirt cheap ($100~$150 second hand)
You'll need ODIN to send files to the Samsung A20

Or you can just follow Hero's advice, get a semi-functional iPhone and use Master131's iFakeLocation

            • @livingroompc: You can also use any ipad to change location. That's that I'm using at the moment as I don't have iphones.

  • Hi All,

I installed Lineageos 17.1 on a Samsung phone, along with magisk and ninja gps.

When I downloaded the 7-11 app it tells me "Your Device is not supported. Restore your device to factory settings".

Any pointers would be great …. thanks

    • +1

From memory that ones because you need to do MagiskHide and tick 7/11 app
      Restart the phone after

      Smali Patcher module done?

Check if SafetyNet test passes (both checks pass?)

Also ensure you have google chrome available (lineage AOSP browser doesn't work with the 7/11 auth page for logging in)

      • +3

Thanks. In the end I reloaded Lineageos and all seems to be good. (fingers crossed). Can't test it properly because I've got a price locked in, but it doesn't thrown an error.

        • +1

If anyone has problems, here is the fix that worked for me (Safetynet was failing on ctprofile).

          1. Install MagiskHide Props Config from Magisk modules
          2. Install Termux from play store
          3. Open Termux and type:
            i) su
            ii) props
iii) on the props dashboard, follow the prompts to change fingerprint to one matching your device.
    • You might need microg or gapps installed, Lineage has two versions one without gapps preinstalled. There is an unofficial version of Lineage with microG installed if you google around. both should work depends if you want or don't want google spying on you.

Tried restarting, re installing, WiFi, mobile data, etc. Just can't log in or even sign up or even view fuel prices because it thinks I'm offline.

    • Freighter hasn't released an app for ages

You'll need either a rooted Android phone or an iPhone to use with master131's ifakelocation to work..

      • Oh I see. I found a link to an apk dropbox file in this thread and downloaded it lol. Will look into the rooting option for fake locations. Thanks :-)

        • +2

          1) root with magisk if possible
          2) using magisk, get smali patcher module (taichi module has been mentioned to work)
          3) magiskhide, check whether you pass the safetynet test, requires both checks to pass

If you can do the above, you can teleport undetected for 7/11

          • @cwongtech: can I root my Samsung S8 phone and lock in petrol price ? do I have to get lineage OS to get Android 10 in order to download the 7 11 app from playstore

Was official android 10 released on the Samsung s8?

If so, you don't need lineage OS but you would still need to root the phone

Edit: looks like android 10 was released for Samsung s8.

You'll need to use ODIN for Samsung devices to send the boot images through

Look up guides on how to use magisk to root your Samsung s8 with android 10

              • @cwongtech: Thanks for the reply, Android 10 is not available for Samsung S8, I will have to get Lineage OS, if I root my S8 will master 's Ifakelocation work or do I have to get an Iphone ?

                • @CuddleMssnuggle: Ifakelocation is for iPhone

Once you've rooted (with magisk), then get smali patcher and ensure your device passes safetynet test checks

And also ensure you have google chrome (gapps suite on-top of lineage, as lineage by default comes with AOSP browser which doesn't play well with 7/11)

          • +2

@cwongtech: Thanks. I didn't want to root my Pixel and had an old Huawei (p smart 2018) which is a mission to unlock the bootloader. So I used the wife's iphone and 3u. Works perfectly and super easy :-)

In all honesty if you have an iPhone and a PC there is absolutely no reason why you can't do it yourself.

Hmm I guess I now know why a few people stopped locking in fuel for others. Some people should learn how to be nicer and read.
I only do it to be nice but some people….

There is no "giving back" to this community, because those you helped didn't contribute to the "community"
Those who need help, are incapable of locking themselves, mostly out of laziness to set up their own choppers and prefer to ask around for a free helicopter ride instead of trying to learn themselves, many (if not all) have absolutely no intention of becoming self-sufficient.

The only way to give back is to donate to Master131 or any of the coders (freighter, vu) who created tools which we use (iFakeLocation, projectzerothree, modded apks when they were available, refinery.fyi), who truly spend their time to help us find where to fly.

In all honesty if you have an iPhone and a PC there is absolutely no reason why you can't do it yourself.

It's easier for them to just message others on OzBargain and burn up someone else's time instead.

  • Like others I am now having trouble with the safety net fail on rooted samsung S5.

For some I can't install the magisk manager for the hide prop module.

I'm thinking it might be easier to just by a cheap iPhone.
Whats the earliest version of iPhone/software I can get that will work with masters ifakelocation?

    Help always appreciated

    • For some I can't install the magisk manager for the hide prop module.

How did you root your phone and what OS is it running?

How did you do the safety net test without using Magisk Manager?
My method of fixing up CTS profile test

Magisk won't have the Modules menu visible if your phone isn't rooted (installing Lineage OS does NOT equal root, though if you installed Lineage OS you're pretty much almost there)

      • Maybe using Odin or something. I can't remember. Currently on lineageOS 16.

I have magisk where I can toggle magiskhide on/off which I've been using to lock in up until now.

Can't seem to find magisk manager anywhere on magisk or phone….

        • Go to your Private Messages, I'll do a quick Zoom session and see if I can figure it out for you..

          • @cwongtech: Never used zoom sorry :)

            • @splats: Erm, I'll need to see your computer screen (then mirror your phone via scrcpy from github, you won't need root for this, only USB debugging to your computer which you should already have enabled from transferring Lineage OS via ODIN) or your phone (samsung S5) at the very least if you want me to render assistance…

              • @cwongtech: I fully appreciate your willingness to help out with your own time mate!
Especially at this time of night on the weekend!
                Your a legend.

All this just adds to my angling towards just getting a cheap iPhone.
Just setting up this S5 was a mission for me to start with and now I really can't be bothered faffing around. It's been good up until now.

Just wondering if it's as easy as getting a cheap iPhone 7 (?) And installing ifakelocation and away you go

                • @splats:

If you say it's rooted and has magisk, then you're only a few steps away to fix up the CTS profile issue.

As per my instructions listed here around 6 weeks ago

Requirements to fix up cts profile manually:
                  - Hide Props Config module (Magisk Manager)
                  - Terminal App (Termux for example)

                  Then follow from here

                  Text instructions below
                  1) Start up Terminal/Termux, Grant Superuser rights
                  2) Type: su
                  3) Type: props
                  4) Type: 1, Press <Enter> We are selecting "Edit device Fingerprint" option
                  5) Type: f, Press <Enter> We are selecting "Pick a certified fingerprint"
                  6) Select your manufacturer (in this case, whatever number is next to Samsung, so should be 26, but check), press <Enter>
                  7) Select your phone model (in my case, Xperia Z5, but it had 7.1.1, the last official android version released, but it appeared to work), press <Enter>
Note, my Xperia Z5 has LineageOS 17 installed on it
                  8) Type: y, Press <Enter>

                  Phone should restart automatically
Then check whether the cts profile has a tick next to it :)

Just wondering if it's as easy as getting a cheap iPhone 7 (?) And installing ifakelocation and away you go

                  Apparently it is

Just wanted to say a big thanks to cwongtech who on a Saturday night remotely sorted my problem with my S5.
    Thanks very muchly!!
    You went above and beyond.

Happy to do some fuel locks for people for the next 30min to share the love

    • Happy to do some fuel locks for people for the next 30min to share the love

Welcome back to the helicopter pilots club!

Be careful of how many you take onboard though, 9 out of 10 will have absolutely no interest in joining the helicopters club, just want to ride on other's choppers

      Happy flying!

      • Mate how would you know 9 out of 10 don't want to join the helicopter club. I have a Huawei and can't root my phone otherwise i would. Not everyone is able or capable to root devices. You don't have any obligation to lock in fuel for anyone however making up stats that people have absolutely no intention is incorrect.

Because I've locked for 100s of people and only one asked if I could help them with their helicopter

The rest just send me their 7/11 account login, fuel type (sometimes they don't even send this to me)

Joining the helicopter club and flying your own helicopter club are two entirely different things.
It's easy to "join" when you have other people flying for you

And I'm sorry I only carried out one or two fuel locks for you in the past, I literally was getting flooded non-stop with messages, my chopper was full and left without doing a passenger headcount in the past.

From the neg count, we are able to observe those who still can't fly after such a long time.

          Hello, from the clouds !

You don't have any obligation to lock in fuel for anyone however making up stats that people have absolutely no intention is incorrect.

After doing 6-7 pages of messages of fuel locks (100s of people) you're right, I don't have any obligation to lock in for anyone.
I don't carry out fuel locks any more because it costs me too much time.
Even to my close friends I have stopped.

I actually have private choppers available for remote access, using a similar method to render assistance to splats

But given what I've seen, a lot of those who ask me for fuel locks (95% approximately) have never shown any gratitude (and therefore don't deserve it), and just as I don't have any obligation to lock in fuel for anyone, I also don't have the obligation to release my remote choppers to the flightless crowd.

How much do you think my time in my life is worth?
How much savings do you get out of fuel locks?

          I'll make you a deal.

I'll provide remote access for you to one of my choppers (you need only TeamViewer to connect), on one condition, you spend one hour per day locking for all those who can't fly themselves, and only you can fly

This agreement lasts in perpetuity, should I find out you stop locking for those who can't fly (since you want to "give back to the community", right?) or you've started to share my private chopper around, then you would have broken our agreement and thus I would no longer have to uphold what I promised (access to my remotely accessed chopper.)

If you want to take up on this offer, PM me.

Otherwise, if you're truly serious about flying yourself, go buy an old iphone, or an older android phone (a damaged screen is fine as long as the phone functions)

If you have an old android phone (surely you or your friends have ONE lying around in a drawer?), you can fly.

splats spent their own time setting it up before their chopper broke down! Was just a few steps away from getting their engine to start.

splats (the guy above that I helped, and most likely you have now asked for a fuel lock from..), set up their Samsung S5 with Lineage OS

          Samsung S5.

          That phone is from 2014

          2014

I have a Huawei and can't root my phone otherwise i would.

Are you telling me you haven't changed phones for 6-7 years!?

          Where there's a will, there's a way

There are many that appear to have the will to message others to ask them to fly for them, but they don't have the will to setup or get their own chopper

If splats can fly with a Samsung S5, there's no way in hell people can't find an old phone or buy an old phone to set it up themselves.

          • @cwongtech: Nope, my old S7 edge has a cracked screen. I don't think it's up to you to decide or comment about individual circumstances without knowing the facts. If someone on this forum decides to help and has time to lock in for a few people that's great.

Nope, my old S7 edge has a cracked screen.

              Great!

Is it operational? Can you press anything on the screen?

Because I've seen Lineage OS on an S7 working successfully

As long as you can enable developer options and OEM debugging (you need to be able to press the "Yes" to authorise your connected computer, you can use scrcpy (github) to control the phone without touching the screen (afterward you have authorised the connected computer at least, that's why you need the screen to at least be partially operational, cracked doesn't matter).

I don't think it's up to you to decide or comment about individual circumstances without knowing the facts.

Well considering that I've just spent most of my time locking in fuel for others, I'm not going to have time to ask for everyone's story/reason why they can't set up their own chopper, will I?

So, is it operational or not (will it register touch)?

Both my remotely accessed helicopter phones have cracked screens

              • @cwongtech: No. Quoted $300 to repair.

                • @Duece1995: Find an old Samsung A20, (you only need LineageOS if the phone never got the official ROM to Android 10 so in this case you don't need to) and can root it, I've personally carried out the process for one and turned it into 7/11 chopper

                  It's RRP is $200.

Got one off FB marketplace for $100 the other day, fully functioning

Otherwise, any working Samsung S5 or newer model should do (as demonstrated by splats' S5)
You just need a phone with a working screen and wifi connection :)

@cwongtech: I agree. I found out about this hobby, spent a good 2-3 hours figuring out how to do it.

Obviously, I ran into a fair few problems. I researched them myself, tried new software etc. Ended up flying to Orange for the first time the other day and it was a success!

Saved me $12 so far and considering that is 14% of my weekly income I am happy!'

When there is will, there is always a way.

        • It’s anecdotes, there are no official stats.

If you can’t root your phone, you can buy one that’s rootable or a compatible iPhone from the savings from fuel locks.

Of course there’s no obligation, but some who can fly copters like to give back.

Before asking for a fuel lock was banned here, you’d find the majority of new posts/replies on this thread were for asking for a fuel lock. Most people also send PMs instead of asking on this thread which is not captured by the thread.

Point is, everyone here can do better and learn to fly. They just choose not to. As mentioned earlier, if they’ve saved $200 from fuel locks, put that towards a phone that can be used.

  • Need a Fuel Lock please, any generous copter pilots out there?

Spent about 5 hours trying to get my LG G4 up to 9.0 with LineageOS and flashing Open GApps, playing around with Magisk, MagiskHide, Magisk Prop Config, smali patcher..and to no avail it still fails the SafetyNet API - I know Magisk Canary is around the corner which will fix the SafetyNet problems which should fix it up for most people with unlocked bootloaders here.

The 7/11 App won't even lock it in without any Magisk modules running with the exception of MagiskHide hiding 7/11's peering eyes from root detection.
Can someone here verify that the 7/11 app can be sideloaded and still locks in petrol?

There is a update soon for Magisk (it currently works in debug, public stable beta imminent) - hopefully that'll be the end of this.

It's been fun dabbling into the root / XDA dev scene again but for now I'll stick with my trusty stock Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

cwongtech - I've read through your post history and you seem like an absolute A+ chopper pilot. When you have a moment can I shoot you a PM detailing what I've done with my LG G4? Cheers mate

    • According to gyrex you can still get it running on a LG G4

ALL GOOD! Thank you for the offer.

I started fresh again and tried again with a different OS and it's working now!!! I put about 7 hours into this. Worth the effort & a good learning experience.

Rehashing / repeating cwongtech's write-up again in a more convoluted way.

For LG G4 H815T users (the deal from T-Dimension here on Ozbargain a few years ago)

Use this method to unlock your bootloader: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/unlock-unofficial-g4-unlo…
Working with lineageOS from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-lineageos-…
        Flash TWRP
Flash Magisk 22.1 (latest at the time of writing), after flashing, install Magisk APK again - reboot phone
Install Magisk Module 'Universal SafetyNet Fix v1.1.1' - https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix - download & move to internal storage, load module from storage - reboot phone
Install Magisk Module 'Hide Props Config' - reboot phone (you can search for this in the Modules section of the Magisk app)
Download/Sideload 'Termux' and open it, type 'su' followed by 'props' and follow the prompts. (1, f, pick your phone manufacturer, pick phone model) - for me, it was the LG G4 H812 model (not H815, but still works)
        Reboot
Follow instructions for smali patcher & GPS Joystick on OP
        Download / Sideload 7/11 App
Back to Magisk - enable MagiskHide - hide 7/11 FULLY - when you press the 7/11 app in MagiskHide there will be two checkboxes, check both (core & splitactivity)

Note: The Magisk SafetyNet Check in the app/manager will probably fail.
Use a 3rd party app instead such as this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atominvent… to verify that your phone is passing the SafetyNet check.

Happy to help people if needed!

          Well done!!

        • +1

          Congratulations!

I had safetynet test API issues with the guy I helped before and saw I had the same on my pixel 2 chopper, it's not even a fail, it's just "can't check anything at this time"

          Good writeup!

Install Magisk Module 'Universal SafetyNet Fix v1.1.1' - https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix - download & move to internal storage, load module from storage - reboot phone
Install Magisk Module 'Hide Props Config' - reboot phone (you can search for this in the Modules section of the Magisk app)

One of these should work, safetynet fix magisk module didn't work on my Xperia z5 (on lineage OS), but the hide props config and selecting the fingerprint did

SafetyNet fix worked on my pixel 2 though
I have a feeling the safetynet fix might work only for stock roms, but lineage OS ROMs need the hide props config method

For other people: TWRP is the recovery mode menu, it's not always needed (pixel 2 and Samsung a20 didn't but both Xperia z5 and z5c in my case does), it depends on your phone

          • +1

            @cwongtech: Thanks pogichinoy & cwongtech - appreciate it! :D

Yeah for the life of me I thought I kept failing the SafetyNet check using the app until I tried a 3rd Party one and realized I was in actuality passing it the whole time. Alternatively another way to check if you're passing is if you don't have any mock GPS apps running and try to lock in petrol it will shoot out an e01 error.
Hmm interesting re: using 1/2 - I can't verify to test, but I can definitely confirm using both modules in tandem doesn't throw the check out of whack.

In addition to my post above, I forgot to mention, but installing Open GApps seemed like an essential chess piece in getting it working - not sure but in my first run without it it wasn't working, when I installed GApps this time around with lineageOS, it did. That, or logging into Play Store and not having a 'Device not certified' error prompt you when you go to 'Play Protect' is also a good sign.
Check your CPU architecture but most likely it will be ARM64 - pick your Android version - pick Pico / Nano if you want the bare minimum to get Play Store up and running (I picked Stock just to be on the safe side, it's a bunch of clutter but oh well! This phone serves no other purpose than to lock in petrol, so no loss to me.)

My tidiness is begging me to declutter the phone of the Google apps, but I am not going to touch anything that isn't broken from this point onwards. Just happy to be part of the Ozbargain pilots club now :D

The GApps suite you need is the minimum one that comes with Google Chrome
According to this page, only full, stock, super variants come with Chrome
LineageOS comes with AOSP browser, which doesn't work well with 7/11

Hmm interesting re: using 1/2 - I can't verify to test, but I can definitely confirm using both modules in tandem doesn't throw the check out of whack.

Correct, it won't clash, but you should only need one of two to pass the SafetyNet Test
Mine didn't fix up the issue with my Xperia Z5s, but the Magisk Hide Props config did :D

              I suggest doing the following:
              1) Universal SafetyNet Fix
              - Check if it now passes

              2) If not, proceed to use Magisk Hide Props config with Termux/Terminal app and assign verified fingerprint file
              - Should pass now

Update: My Pixel 2 can't be fixed purely on by the Termux/Magisk Hide Props select fingerprint method..
Universal SafetyNet fix works though, according to the Magisk Hide Props github page, this also forces Basic attestation rather than Hardware attestation (mine was already Basic though..)

Anyhow, my Pixel 2 was fixed up by the safetynet fix

Might get a realme c3 and have a go at that one

  • Is there any way of setting up a chopper without a PC/Mac?

I have an iPhone & iPad but reading through the guides seem to require a computer..

Yes you need a computer to assist for iFakeLocation

I also have an old Android phone but have no idea how to ‘root’ the device..

      1) Unlock Bootloader, you may need ADB (Android Debug Bridge) or ODIN (for Samsung phones)
      2) Load an android ROM (if you have stock android images, great, if not, find LineageOS), you want one that's equivalent to Android 10
Check xda forums for android ROMs for your phone
      3) Install Gapps as necessary to ensure you have chrome browser available
      4) Once you have bootloader unlocked, and also either stock ROM or custom ROM loaded on your phone, use Magisk to patch your boot.img
      5) Go into recovery mode and use ADB/ODIN to load the patched.img file
      6) Get Smali patcher done (it's from Magisk's website, and it generates a Smali Module.zip on your comp you can use in Magisk Manager to load)
      7) Ensure both SafetyNet tests pass, if not.. look up various ways to ensure it does
      8) Install My 7-Eleven
      9) MagiskHide 7-eleven

If the above is too hard.. go find someone to configure your phone for you (airtasker maybe?)
Configuring a phone to become a chopper from scratch (every single phone model is different) takes a significant amount of time (4 hours in my experience)

      • without a PC/Mac

        "Root" does requrie a PC/Mac anyway/

        • "Root" does requrie a PC/Mac anyway/

          Initial set up only

      • Thank you @cwongtech for that information..
It pretty much cemented the fact that the Android method was going to be near impossible to me without days of googling and YouTubing…
I ended up getting an abandoned 10 year old Windows 7 laptop off a friend and set up ifakelocation on that.. (this method even took me half a day to figure out but I got there in the end!)
At least I can start locking in fuel again… although it means I need to be at home and wait 10 minutes for the laptop to load 😅

    • Smali patcher on Android requires a PC to generate the file. I have seen people asking for patched file on the Smali Patcher thread. Not sure how that work.

So both iOS and Android device will require access to a computer.

It has custom ROMs for it which means it's bootloader can definitely be unlocked, which means you can put in lineage OS or stock android (this is if it exists for android 10/11 for this phone)

Then just use magisk to patch boot.img, and use recovery mode (native or TWRP) to load patched_boot.img

    Voila.. rooted phone
Then +smali patcher to generate smali patcher module and load in magisk
Magisk hide props config (use terminal app to select appropriate fingerprint file) or +universal safetynet test fix to fix up CTS profile for safetynet
Install 7/11, and a mock location app

    And Bob's your auntie

    • +1

People can buy the $75 phone as for sure they've been helped a handful of times here in fuel locks so they would have saved at least $75 worth from it.

    • Thank you for providing this info, much appreciated.

    • Just wondering what is earliest version of iphone supported?

    • +2

Anyone who reads this message.. the Realme c3 in Australia is carrier locked - can't get it to unlock the bootloader as it comes up with "carrier customized phone" when you try to use the realme unlocking tool with it.

Skip this one lads, as before, find an old Samsung A20 or any no-carrier-locked version of an android phone that can easily have their bootloaders unlocked.
Furthermore, the optus online tool to unlock this phone doesn't even recognise the phone as a locked optus prepaid phone.

      • +1

RealMe c3 OPTUS is the one to avoid (OEM unlocking option available in developer options but you can't actually proceed to unlock bootloader)

Apparently there's an unlocked Realme C3 being sold in Jbhifi

        That one should be fine

The unlocking tool (from realme) is called "deeptest realme c3 apk"

Theoretical guide for non-carrier-locked Realme C3s (if you got it from Jbhifi, must be non-optus version)
        1) Enable developer settings
        2) Then OEM bootloader to be unlocked (in developer options)
        3) You need to run the deeptest apk to carry out the actual bootloader unlock
        4) Upgrade your realme c3's firmware officially first
        5) Download it also from the realme website, the latest version available, it'll be in .ozip format, extract using 7zip, then get boot.img
        6) Install magisk apk (you can install this even on non-rooted phones, it just has no modules available), move boot.img to the phone, then using the magisk app, patch that boot.img
        7) It'll be in your phone's download folder, you have a patched_boot.img file, copy it over to your computer
        8) Now that your bootloader's unlocked, get your realme c3 into recovery mode
        9) fastboot flash boot <patched_boot.img>

Your phone should now be rooted, then you do the 7/11 specific stuff.. smali patcher module.. universal safetynet fix and should be good

Merged from [NSW] Unleaded 98 Fuel $1.54/Litre @ 7-Eleven Emu Plains
    Go to Deal

Rocked up and noticed the 98RON was same price as 91RON, so filled up.

Guy in the store said head office had instructed this (who knows this might be the standard response if there is a glitch).

Not the cheapest price as were at the top of the price cycle, but thought it might help out those this weekend in the Penrith area, as everywhere else is around 170+ a litre for 98.

Also lock the price in on the 7 Eleven app to hedge your bets in weeks time.

    • $1.41 at Silkstone QLD

      • -1

Hold on. I’ll be right there.

      • +2

West Ipswich has been that for the entire of this cycle too, I've made many a helicopter trip up there the last few weeks.

    • +6

this is almost the highest, why this is a deal?

      • -8

        Read the post

    • yeah, qld silkstone fly your chopper there, no need 1.54 for 98

    • +4

      No deal 141.9 here https://projectzerothree.info/

      • -3

And how is that useful to someone in Penrith NSW?

I said in the post it’s not the cheapest of all time.

Fuel prices are relative to location and the current price cycle.

        • +7

How can you be an ozbargainer since 2009 when you don't know a simple trick for cheaper fuel.

        • The fact you have not figured out you can lock a fuel price for any 7 Eleven servo in Oz (not just the 5 closest locations to your GPS location) and fuel up at any 7 Eleven and be saving money everytime you fuel up is on you.

I have not paid more than $1.40 for U98 in over a year and I fuel up twice a week.

          • @Lucille Bluth: I’m well aware of the tricks.

I guess not every ozbargainer is that technically savvy or wants to lock in a price in that way.

I guess I’ve misread the room here 😂

            • +2

@bargaineer: Best thing is to sit down for an hour and read up on the method. Especially if you have an iPhone (or have someone in your household that does) as it's super easy. Then you can be saving hundreds if not thousands per year from the one hour you invested into learning about it.

              Good luck

              • @Lucille Bluth: I would do that, but my iPhone is locked down by work, so I really can’t do that.

                • +2

@bargaineer: Just to be clear, you don't need to do anything to the iPhone in the way of mods, as long as you can download the 7 Eleven app. I'm using stock iPhone.

                • +1

@bargaineer: I use my work iPhone for the same hack method. You just need to allow access to your phone.

Since you’re not informed, standard pricing is not worthy of a deal post, only pricing errors due to lower octane fuel being unavailable and being below current pricing.

Don’t get salty if you’re not aware of the status quo. Acknowledge the mistake and move on.

                  • +1

@pogichinoy: This post was higher octane fuel being reduced to the same price as lower octane fuel…

I assume those posts are also for the heli crowd too though.

But yeah certainly learned the ways of the OzB and fuel prices today and will probably just stick to a lowly comment around these parts in future.

I’ll stick to posting TVs and tech.

    • +4

Whoa! $1.54 for a litre of fuel. Who would have thought this is considered a bargain.

    • OP, From which app did you get your screenshot from?

    • According to the 7/11 app it’s 159.9 in Prospect/Pendle Hill/Arndell Park.

    • 150.4 for 98 at Mount Pritchard.

    • +5

Literally every state has cheaper fuel than this post.

      • +1

Do you have a private jet that you scale the country to collect the cheapest fuel?

Fuel prices in Western Sydney and Blue Mountains have been high for a long time and if you can get 98 for 30 cents a litre off during the high price cycle, I see that as useful.

Knowing fuel is cheaper on the other side of Sydney or in another state is of no use to people in the Penrith area.

        • +4

I do have a private helicopter and I call it rooted Android phone.

I don't like jets, tend to overshoot the 7 eleven and has issues hovering on the spot.

          • @azukay: I’m well aware of those hacks. I just didn’t think everyone is technically savvy enough to do that.

What is the percentage of people on OzBargain with a rooted android phone?

I guess I have just triggered the rooted Android brigade rather than helping the locals of Penrith.

            • +1

@bargaineer: Or have an iPhone which doesn't even need jailbreak?

              • @azukay: I have an iPhone which is locked down by work, so yeah it’s not really an option.

                • +3

                  @bargaineer: https://youtu.be/LNMx6_YTfyk

You are not modifying the phone in anyway so I don't see why the phone won't work if you can access the phone with a computer

                  • @azukay: Yeah the methods seem to have changed (simplified) since I last looked into it.

I have a managed profile on my iPhone and I’m not sure if modifying my location to here there and everywhere will trigger any alarm bells with my company.

Might just YOLO it and find out.

    • +2

You are late to the party. Lol

    • -2

OP Posts a deal for NSW. Others neg the deal citing that it's cheaper in QLD. May as well neg the deal because it's cheaper in Saudi Arabia or something

It's a deal for 98 in the area. It may not be cheap overall, but it's still a good ~20c cheaper than 98 in the area, especially when other servos in the area charge about the same for E10.

Costco at Marsden Park is 139.7 for 98. But it's a good ~30mins away

Is this cheap? No. Is fuel cheap at the moment? No. Is this a good deal at this point in time, for the Penrith area for 98 octane fuel? Yes.

      • +1

        Read the other comments dude.

        • -1

Yeah I’m well aware of the hacks.

I guess I won’t be posting these localised deals again. Lol

Ozbargain pre-requisite is now must own rooted android phone.

          • @bargaineer: Thanks champ this was of use to me actually. App wasn't locking for me and I needed fuel in a pinch. Emu Plains was ~20c cheaper than anywhere else in the area

      • Is fuel cheap at the moment? Yes, relative to when I was in uni in the mid 2000s. Note, everything is relative.

Posting a deal requires being aware of the circumstances.

In this case, it deserves a post in a thread, not a deal post.

Understand the difference and learn from it.

    • +3

Clearly OP does not know how to use ozbargain's method of locking in fuel remotely

    • +3

      OP needs a chopper

    • +1

y'all are forgetting not everyone uses the heli

but OP might as well post it below instead; not as a dealio
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/170070?page=5#comment

      • Yeah I probably should have done this.

    • Not a good deal and price. OP FYI there are options to lock price WITHOUT rooted iPhone.

Mine is not modified in any way or form from stock standard and I can regularly lock outside my 5 petrol station radius.

It’s well documented in forums here.

  • +3

Thanks to all the contributors I have now got a chopper working… PM me if you would like a lock within the next 30mins. I'd love to give back where I can but bed time soon.

  • Merged from How Do I Get My 7/11 Fuel Lock Working on Jailbroken (Unc0ver) iPhone 6S?

    Hello all,

Currently if I open up the "My 7/11" app to lock the fuel price, it says "restore your settings to factory default". :(

I tried some of the tips posted on this forum, to install "kernbypass(unofficial)" but it has not worked.

I even tried rebooting my phone, so that the jaibreak is 'lost' temporarily, but the app developers have been quite smart to see that it is still jailbroken.

Any tips or ideas on how to get it to work?

Many thanks in advance for any help!

  • Hi guys, giving up on my Android device with magisk.
What's the cheapest iPhone that currently works? 6s or 8?

Same here. I'm so frustrated with my Samsung J8, cannot get it to work at all.

The best advice I can give is get ipad mini which will last you lot more years than iphone.
To elaborate age of both iphone and ipad mini determines the updates of IOS it will be getting and same for 7-11 updates.

All A11 devices currently and future updates can easily jailbreak with checkra1n.

    • Yes I am using my old iPad mini (retina display model), never gets any use outside of this as has become quite slow.

    • +1

Just to confirm, I buy this, install iFakeLocation, install 7/11 app, set location, then I'm good to go?

      • Dont think that will work. u need device which can get updates of IOS14 or at-least where 7-11 app will work. This is for jailbreak method which I’m using. I got iPad 5th gen and iphone x.

    • I thought I fake location only works on IOS 14, it wont work on IPADOS 14, I tried it with my friend 's IPad and it did not work -0-, could you please kindly advise

      • I have got an iPad Mini which was released in 2015 I think. It has ipadOS 14 and ifakelocation works.

        Did you refresh device list??

        • Yes I did, we tried for 1/2 hour, and no device popped up (I have windows 10), but when I plug his Iphone XR in, Ifake location worked, on master release note, he did not include the IPAD OS 14 as a compatible OS. I prob go back and try again, as I don't have an IPAD, can you please kindly double check when you have time that you have Ipad OS 14 (not IOS as I think Ipad Mini runs IOS, not Ipad OS , I highly appreciate it. Thank you

          • @CuddleMssnuggle: You may be correct. I think I have ios 14.5. However it only shows up like this "14.5 (18E199)". Does not have iOS or iPadOS infront of it.

But googling "14.5 (18E199)" shows it is likely iOS.

            • @wmxc: I think you are running IOS 14.5, if it was IPAD OS it would have shown as IPAD OS, I was surprised that they did not force you to update to IPAD OS. I prob have to upgrade my Samsung S8 to an Iphone for Ifakelocation, the S8 is pretty slow now.

              • @CuddleMssnuggle: I just checked my ipad and there is an ipadOS 14.5.1 waiting to be downloaded and installed. I immediately turned off automatic updates and installation!!!

Please let me know if you end up fixing yours!

                • @wmxc: I am thinking of upgrading my phone, have been a long term Android boy, but now I may have betray the Android gang to join up with Apple because of Ifake location, I prob play with my S8 (learn how to root and such). Any new Ipad you purchase now will run IPADOS, thus u will need an Iphone, thinking between 11 vs 12 or I can wait 4 months to get 13, this is hard >-<

                  • @CuddleMssnuggle: Try get an old iPad instead of new one then? lol

Not sure how much but eBay or facebook marketplace should have it not too expensive. That might be a better path in case if you really prefer Android over iOS.

    • +1

      127.7c today

  • Finally got around to having a play around with the "chopper" method.

Managed to get ifakelocation to work on an old iPad (iPad Air, running iOS 12.5.2), and setting the location works fine (can't 100% confirm as I've got an old price locked in, but the store locator puts me in the ifakelocation spot).

However, can't get ifakelocation to stop for some reason. I click the Stop Fake Location button and it says it has stopped, or to try turning Location Services on and off again. Tried turning that off and on again, but then when I open Maps or 7-11 app, it says can't find location.

A minor annoyance though, as this iPad doesn't ever leave the house and will solely be used for the chopper method.

If I do a new location search and apply that, Maps and 7-11 pick up the new location, so all good.

But anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks so much all, it has been a more expensive last few months than it needed to be!

    • While using 3uTools, I needed to restart my iPad to turn off the location. So give it a try and see if it works

      • Ah, I just left it for a while and the actual location is now being picked up on Maps.

        Must just take a while.

        Thanks for replying anyway :)

  • Haven't been on here for a few months. Has anyone else been having trouble with the Android lock ins?

FakeGPS seems to work fine and everything but the my7Eleven app keeps coming up with oops there seems to be an error.

Do I need to update all my shit?

    • +2

You need to Root your phone, it's detailed throughout the forums. Isn't for the faint hearted.

      • Yeah I have done all that. Rooted my Android device, magisk, FakeGPS. Have had it all working, but went back to lock in a fuel price after not using it for a couple of months and it comes up with an oops error.

  • Just want to bring this 7-11 scam to the attention of everyone in this post.

(cashier charging for an item not purchased hoping you won't notice because you don't know the exact price of the fuel after discount)

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/615586

They tried it on me today but since reading the original post on here I always check the receipt now.

Make sure you check your receipt.

    • At every 7-11 I've been to they have a screen facing me that shows the itemized transaction, would be obvious if they added a third item to my fuel + coffee. I think it was probably an error leftover item from the previous transaction and the employee couldn't be bothered voiding it. Unless it was the manager there's nothing in it for the employee.

      • This one didn't (or it's hidden by crap).

Also she tried to get round that by mumbling something about a free coffee initially.

        • Pro tip: I memorise the cost of my fill up at the bowser, and ensure that when the cashier reveals the amount after my app barcode is scanned is below that value.

          • @pogichinoy: Pro tip: I look at the locked in price on the app before filling and then multiply it litres added to tank as I walk to the cashier.

            • +1

              @mapax:

and then multiply it litres added to tank

I tried that but my calculator said the fuel cost was $6,120. Which seemed a bit high.

          • @pogichinoy: But that's just it.
You save $13 on a lock but they only give you $12 discount. It's pretty hard to tell exactly what the new price should be.

You need to check the receipt or the screen, or whip out your phone calculator just to be sure.

            • @SJDR: As mentioned before, I believe the system still calculates the fuel price to 0.9 of the same amount. E.g. your locked price is 125.7, it’s calculated at 125.9. That’s why it’s always a bit off.

        • mumbling something about a free coffee initially.

I got the same 'explanation' yesterday.

Thanks to another poster enlightening me on elevenme app, no thanks to the (profanity) that replied here

    • +6

read the description, mate. The descriptions are very clear and so are the headings. You essentially got trolled because you did in fact ask a seemingly stupid question and proved that you did not even bother to read the description and jumped straight to the comments.

      • +4

Exactly what I was wanting to say.

        I can fully appreciate @cwongtech 's frustration.

        • -7

Donno why it was a big deal to just say it? It took more effort sending a 'troll' reply

          • +6

@Hux: Did you bother to read the start of the thread? If not, let me quote it for you for your convenience

"This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app."

Do you see where does it say on this thread to ask where is the cheapest petrol? No.

Did you know that there is currently 1299 members subscribed to this thread? Obviously not.

Did you know when we have someone like you wasting our time asking a silly question, we get notified of it? Doubt it.

Did you know that on the top of this thread is a link to show the cheapest prices for petrol for 7/11? Seriously doubt it.

Did you know that you can google cheap petrol in your area on your phone or computer?

Yes, i did spend a bit more time trolling you than answering your question but it was well worth it for the response you had given.

  • Hi there

on my iPhone 12 since updating to iOS 14.5.1 ifakelocation no longer works (cannot find iPhone doesn't matter how often I hit refresh or restart my Mac)

My wife is still on iOS 14.5 and works just fine…

Anyone on iOS 14.5.1 can confirm ifakelocation still works? Did Apple close this loophole with the latest iOS update? :(

    • Thank you for this message was about to go buy an Iphone 11 >-<

      • 3utools works with iPhone

        • even on latest Update 14.5.1 ? do I have to root my Iphone to use 3utools ?

    • My iPhone 8 with iOS 14.5.1 works normally with ifakelocation.

      • Oh boi, then I should buy the 11, pretty cheap at Officeworks with price match,

        • Are you price matching it with one of the ebay deal?

          • @open4highway: just went into a store, they said they don't do Ebay because it is a market place not a retail store, I asked him where does it say on your terms and conditions that you will not price match Ebay, this is their terms and conditions:

What items does the 5% reduction apply to?
Our guarantee applies to all identical products and services that are:

            Stocked at Officeworks
In stock at our competitor; and
Not excluded from the PBG (see below).
What is excluded from the Price Beat Guarantee?
Cashback and coupon offers (i.e. supplier cashback or reduced price available via paper coupon or electronic codeword)
Commercial quantities and pricing (i.e. a reduced price not available to the public)
Stock liquidations (i.e. competitor clearance products or goods sold by a business placed into receivership)
We reserve the right to limit sales to reasonable retail quantities.
            What about online stores?
Our Price Beat Guarantee includes products you find online - as long as the item is identical and in stock. When assessing the PBG from online stores we also take into account the added cost of delivery to your location (if any). If the identical, in stock product can be purchased and delivered to your location via an online store for a total price lower than the one we are offering, we will beat that total price by 5%.

For further information please visit your local Officeworks store and they will be able to assist you with your query.
It is the exact model / Australian product / free shipping and the dude just simply tells me he won't do it cause it s Ebay.

    • ifakelocation still works on my iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 14.5.1

      • Do you run it on Windows or Mac?

    • +1

Sorry guys my bad - it turns out (running on a Mac) I had to trust my iPhone from Finder then ifakelocation resumed working as usual, not sure why this only happened with one iPhone and not the other!

Anyway all good and confirming ifakelocation works fine on iOS 14.5.1 :)

Is it only worth $50 now?? I'm still actively using mine from 6 years ago. It's had its run with battery on last legs but useful to operate the chopper :)

      • Cheers. Will it work on iPhone 5 or does it need to be 5s?

        • +2

iPhone 5S is the oldest iPhone as the 7-11 app requires iOS 12 or higher.

  • +7

Flights to Yeronga departing from now for an hour or so.
    PM me your login details.

  • I run iFakeLocation on Iphone 7 and IOS 14.3 with 3u under windows 10. can see from the map, I am in the correct fake location, but got error on 7-11 app, no local price available, Can anyone help?

    • Have you tried a second location? Maybe try the second cheapest place.

      • thanks.
Now I got location could not be determined, do I need to do something with 3u tools? or disable the location services before I set Fake location? there is no error I Set Fake Location, or stop Fake Location. now 7-11, google map or apple map could not locate. Any help will be appericated.

        • I only use 3u and not iFakeLocation but have you tried restarting your iPhone and trying again?

        • Also after you search for a location, notice how the GPS coordinates are not set/unchanged? After you search for a suburb, click on the map at the location of the search, and then lock the location.

        • You don’t need to use both 3u tools and iFakeLocation, maybe they’re conflicting.

    • +1

I've had that a couple of times. While it may seem like it is the correct location, it might be in a different country. So I've had to type in the state at times as well. e.g. Yeronga, Queensland

  • -2

Would the Android method work with Rooted Bluestacks on a PC? If so, any instructions available?

    • No to first question
      Thus, no to second question

Hasn't worked since the new app came out last year.
Go get an old android phone and try.

I've been able to set up a Nexus 6P to do it, surely someone in your social circle will have a disused old android phone you can use
Just to show the variety of phones I've worked on and turned into 7/11 choppers..

      My current fleet of choppers:
      Xperia Z5 (Sumire)
      Xperia Z5C (Suzuran)
      Pixel 2 (Walleye)
      Samsung A20 (A205YN, VAP & XSA)
      Nexus 6P (angler)

Other phones I've carried out the process succesfully:
      Moto G8 (rav)

      • Thanks mate. Yeah I've been using an old Samsung Galaxy S5 with Lineage as a chopper but it's so painfully slow and the battery is terrible. And I gave away all my family S7s and S8s as part of the epic S21 trade in recently. So was hoping Bluestacks was an option.
Might try and get an old phone from someone else…

        • And I gave away all my family S7s and S8s as part of the epic S21 trade in recently

You could have just not sent one in and paid ASURION (Samsung's Trade-Up app operator) the value (S7 is worth $5…!?) as per other OzBargainer's comments and retained it for fuel lock purposes..

Samsung Galaxy S5 with Lineage as a chopper but it's so painfully slow and the battery is terrible

You only needed it for a few clicks, and battery life - you only need it to last five minutes.
If you had rooted it, you should know that the reason we need Lineage OS is because of the Android 10 requirement.

Bluestacks does not have Android 10, nor will it pass Safetynet test

Would the Android method work with Rooted Bluestacks on a PC

You're telling me, you think Bluestacks on a laptop starts up faster than a S5, running two apps? (GPS spoof and 7/11)

      • +1

You are running full army…. congratulations

        • +1

Just making use of my resources, instead of making excuses.

      • cwong, what Andorid 10 OS are you running?

I had a 6P running Pixel Experience but it broke with the all the magisk updates and the like.

  • +5

Flights to Cockburn Central tonight. DM me with login details and what fuel grade you want.

  • 7/11 App Currently under Maintenance

    • It’s been that way since just before 09:00, was working ok when I first checked at ~07:30.

      • looks like it is back now and running

  • +2

I'll be available to lock in some fuel for the next hour if required. Chopper has arrived in Malaga.

  • Thanks, got the chopper running. Got a smashed iphone from family and rest was easy peasy.. :)

  • Finally got it to work on a cheap Samsung A20 with the Universal SafetyNet Fix 1.1.0. With the AppNinja app is it necessary to follow the instructions to where it discusses privacy mode and making a copy of the app?

Click on unlock features for free, you can find privacy mode in that version

If you can pass safety net you might be able to get away without it, but from memory.. safety net or the 7/11 fails to lock if you don't rename both (magisk you can repackage into a small different name)

      Just try to lock.
You definitely need to do smali patcher module though

      • +2

Not quite true. Depends on your phone and setup.

Got a few phones running. None needed to rename magisk or gps joystick.

There are other options apart from smali patches as well

Any of xsposed implementations with mock mock locations work fine

        • +2

          +1

Yep, but as a general rule, magiskhide + smali patcher + kdrag0n's universal safetynet fix with magisk props method should be enough for 7/11 + appninja GPS
As an extra precaution, magisk manager can be renamed and AppNinja's app can be renamed using its privacy mode as well.

There's been a few smali patcher alternatives mentioned (taichi module?)

Whatever gets the 7/11 chopper flying successfully I suppose!

      • Wasn't able to lock. Renamed both packages and it still wouldn't work. Must be doing something wrong and A20 started rebooting. Going to flash XSA and restart the process.

        • +2

          You have the A20?

XSA and VAP refer to the carrier version I think, you should be able to see whether your phone is specifically XSA or VAP when you go standard samsung recovery mode (it will say "waiting for download, and have a bunch of text on the left)

I've worked on both VAP and XSA models and both were successful

Sending you my private notes that I kept to remind me what I need to do, if I ever needed to redo the process

          • +1

@cwongtech: Yes, A20 from a previous deal and yes the 3 letters refer to carrier. VAP is Vodafone and XSA is unbranded. Just got the April 2021 security patch. I believe everything required was installed, patched, safetynet passed, packages renamed. Must have overlooked something.

Phone started to reboot every time I unlocked it so decided to factory reset with XSA. Appreciate the documentation and will try again.

  • +3

NoxPlayer Android 9 Beta is now available. 7-11 app can be sucessfully installed and login. However location isn't working apparantly. Any pointers can help?

    • +2

Can you root it? You'd probably need to do the magisk + GPS ninja + smalli patcher stuff on there

      • +1

Rooting mean you need to be able to patch a boot image with the magisk app (not hard to do), but the question is, can you load a patched_boot.img into the NoxPlayer? Does it even have a recovery mode or an advanced mode to load in a boot.img or let you play with the files?

      • no need to root it as nox player has its own built in virtual gps system. However nox 9 is still in beta and i have never been able to get location services working on it at all

  • I am getting an error E03 with the message Unable to lock. I tried with the different accounts but the same result.

Using iPhone 8 with iFakeLocation. Never had this issue before.Haven't updated the os.

Accounts are working on android device, but not on this iPhone.
Have they locked my iPhone 😔??

    • Do you recall ever changing your Location on iPhone whilst having the 7 11 app open. I use Imyfone Anyto and when you're about to change location they have a warning that says "Teleporting May Incur warnings in other location based apps. You are suggested to close these apps before changing location."

      • If this is indeed the issue I recommend going forward setting the IOS Location setting to "Allow Only Once" in settings whilst locking the fuel so that the 7/11 App doesn't get alerted for Teleporting and Fuel Locking

        • Thanks for your response.

I may have done just that, the app must be running in the background. Tried it today as well, but not able to lock in. May be they have blacklisted the phone's UDID :(

    • At what point does that error occur? I don’t get an error code but when I got to lock (after the cheapest price is found) it just hangs after pressing the green lock in button. Same thing was happening last night.

      • I get the price after teleporting, and on the click it throws the error (E03)

        • I get the error when attempting to lock in. There’s no error code, it just hangs.

Are you on iOS? I am, and was jailbroken.

        • Okay. I’ve fixed the issue. Not sure which part worked but I restarted my phone. And then after searching for a price, I waited approximately 5 minutes before tapping “lock in my best local price”.

I’ve read on here that waiting for a bit has helped people with E03 in the past.

          • @sween64: Yep, its Ios, not jail broken.

Glad you were able to sort the issue, I am still getting the same error. Will try again tomorrow.

Dont wanna pay local price of 1.81 for 98..

    • I wrote to 7/11 about the error and below is the response.. Not helpful though-

Thank you for contacting 7-Eleven Customer Service.

We have been in touch with our App developers who have advised they are aware of the issue you are facing and they are currently still working to find a resolution with Apple, unfortunately at this time there is no known workaround for this issue.

We have been advised that the issue should be resolved for all affected users in a future app update, we have unfortunately not been provided with an expected timeframe for this fix.

As we are unable to assist you any further with this particular issue at this time, we will be closing this case from our customer service team, however, the issue will continue to be worked on with our app developers.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Team on 1800 247 711.

  • Could anyone give me a little help trying to get set up to do my own fuel locks? More than happy to helicopter people if I can get it up and running, having some issues setting it up and I can't seem to find my issue elsewhere.

Failing that a chopper for me would be awesome, have a lot of driving to do this weekend

    • Which method are you using? Android or iphone, I was able to get it to work on an iphone 7 using ifakelocation

      • iPhone with a macbook air

        • +1

https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation should be all you need, have you tried it yet?

          • @shiznit: Yes that's what I've been trying, I must be doing something wrong. My device never shows and when I click refresh I get an error message

            • @Caerdyddblue: Your device needs to be unlocked. You also have to have the latest version if you’re on iOS 14.6.

            • +1

@Caerdyddblue: Try opening iTunes, you need to 'trust' your device when plugging in.

  • How do I get developer mode on iPhone? Trying to follow the instructions on Github but don't think any links were provided.

Edit: I have downloaded ifakelocations successfully but when I click on "set location", the downloads don't pop up to allow for developer mode. Is it because my MacBook is running on Mojave 10.14?

    • I don't remember this development mode. I'm running an iPhone8 and i just use iFakelocation on a MacBookPro to set the location. As long as the phone is unlocked and the screen is ON, it should just work.

      • I'm using an iPhone 6s on 14.4. I set to fake location but when I use google maps, it shows my current location and not the location I've set it to.

        • +1

did you get an error after clicking "set location"?

          • @Bargain4Life: Nope. Nothing pops up. The button just fades colours. So I can click it but it won't change my iPhones location. I've tried resetting both phone and laptop but doesn't work.

            • @hotnhumid: hhmm, sorry mate, hard to diagnose without seeing what is happening.

              • @Bargain4Life: No worries. Thanks for trying though. Bought a 6s just for this :/

            • @hotnhumid: Is your phone unlocked with the screen visible?

              • @sween64: Yeah it's unlocked and screen is visible.
I might just have to try it on someone else's laptop and see if it works?

            • @hotnhumid: Ensure the ifakelocation is moved to applications folder.

    • +4

      Just use 3utools.

      • -1

        I don't have a PC

  • So I tried scanning my barcode tonight after filling up petrol but it wouldn't apply the discount. Attendant tried three times to scan it but it just wouldn't work. First time this has happened in my 3 or 4 years of fuel locking. Anyone know what's up? Missed out on a 10c/L discount!

And i can't seem to locate the step anywhere. Thanks peeps

    • -1

problem is your mac not ifakelocation. find out how to open apps that can't be opened

    • +2

Allow the app from privacy and security in the setting menu, I guess. I am not a Mac user but I sth like that last time on a friend's Mac..
      Hope that helps

  • +8

For those who want to open their own airport, all you need is an iPhone and a PC. It's super easy.

    1. Download and install iFakeLocation on your PC.
      https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation/releases
    2. Should be the "ifakelocation-v1.5.0-windows-x86.zip" file.
    3. Unzip it, run the exe file, it'll open a window in your internet browser.
    4. Hook up your iDevice, then you're done!

Does not need a jailbroken phone!

    • Or instead of ifakelocation, 3utools!

    • Legend. Thanks

  • Hi all
I am getting an error while locking the fuel today
    ERROR E03
    Please help

    • Sometimes you just have to wait for the server to fix itself. I had to restart my phone and that seemed to fix it last time.

      • I did try that.
        Still no luck

        Thanks

For people who don't have a windows machine and looking for solution to lock fuel on Mac OS.
I am somehow struggling with fakelocation and found this better to use.
You can download and use this for free. You don't need to buy it and its very similar to 3utools.
    https://www.imyfone.com/location-changer/
you can download, this connect you phone/iPad as usual.
Now, it would prompt to "trust" the device on your phone/iPad.
Type in the location with cheapest fuel price and press the arrow button just adjacent to the location box.
next, click "move" and that's it.
your new location would be set on the device.
you don't need to buy anything, follow the above steps everytime.
Also, to avoid your account from being flagged, do not open 7-11 app before locking the fuel price. Close the app first, Change the location, and then open the app for locking.

Ifakelocation works fine on mac os

    • hey buddy I think Imyfone Anyto began asking for money after 5 location changes I believe, How long have you used this?

      • Have probably used it 7-8 times. Not sure about the money after 5 location changes. Will update if asked further.

        • +1

anyway if it does ask for it I just added another user to my Mac and it works fine. Rinse and repeat

  • Wow prices are touching almost $2…half of country is in lockdown and fuel prices touching sky….can anyone help to decipher this…

Buy cheap iPhone for locking purpose lol

      • +3

That's what I did. Look at gumtree for an iphone 5s for under $50

        • +1

Would get the money back within 2 fill haha.

    • +1

Glad I kept my iPad Mini from years ago, only use it for fuel locks these days

      • +1

My ipad money got paid off itself just by locking fuel.

  • -1

anyone getting ""don't sweat it - your visit are recorded bla bla bla" below the "my card" barcode?
Mine has been like that in the past few weeks, and even though I locked the fuel price and scanned the barcode, the discount was not applied in this case, and it is pointless to argue with the staff in store.

had lost my discounts in the last 3 refuel :(

    • Get a receipt, put missed discount through the contact us on app.

  • +1

as of today, 98 fuel is now 22 cents more expensive than e10, rather than previous 20 cents.

  • I lock the price on Ipad take the photo with my android phone. When they scan the bar code it is all good, but then the discount is not getting or reflecting the final price. It happened to me a few times. The person at the counter, can't explain what went wrong. So I pay the full price. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

    • Yes, I experienced it a while ago. I didn't get a receipt from the cashier. I emailed 7Eleven after that and they sent me a phyiscal gift card for $1.00.

    • +3

you should be able to just log in to the 711 app and use your locked in code directly as long as you have the same account on both

      • Has anyone tried this?

        • I assume it works, since that's how alot of people get the fuel lock initially, they ask someone else to log in to their account from a different device and then they log back in on their own device after the lock has been done.

        • +4

I can confirm this works. I have the same account logged onto 2 phones. I fly with 1, and show them the barcode on the other.

If you tap 'fuel lock' on the non-flying phone it will show you the lock you made on flying phone.

          • @CodeXD: Sweet, it worked! But my location on my iPad is now stuck in the faked location…

  • Is anyone able to help me install iFakeLocation on Ubuntu (linux)? I'm running Ubuntu 20.04, but I am far from proficient with linux. I'm more of a GUI user. I got as far as cloning the github repo but I'm lost from there. Obscure request but hoping someone can help!

  • Hi everyone :)

Hopefully someone has a free minute to help me out.
I have been trying to get this to work for hours now.

I am on 14.6 ios with iphone 12 pro max on a mackbook air and have downloaded ifakelocation and the .NET core 2.2

Whatever I do I can not see my iphone on the drop down list at the ifakelocation website. I have trusted my mac and my phone is visible and plugged in, and I still can't see it.

Could someone please spare a minute and help me out?

    Thanks in advance :)

Probably plug out and plugin few times will do the trick…it's how it worked on my iPad and windows laptop

      • OMG!! thank you so much!! It actually worked!!

        • Or just use imyfone virtual location.

      just checked, same for me

      • Thanks @Toffcuz

    • Hopefully we will able to lock fuel prices as we used to do after this maintenance!

    • +4

      Working now.

  • -1

Does this still work? I tried for the first time this morning but the app detects I'm using a gps spoofer.

    • Need to root your android (read the comments for how to) or use the plug device into computer applications for apple (also look back through the comments). Apple is easier

      • Seems a bit complicated for Android. I'll probably give it a miss but thanks anyways.

        • buy any cheapo iphone for less than $100 or even a ipad as a backup phone or whatever you wanna call.
Use that only for 7 eleven for the moment.

          Fuel lock saves alot

        • its not that hard at all to root, theres just about a guide on every phone, nowadays magisk has made it much easier to control everything, give it a try

  • Can I get some assistance on how to get iFakelocation to run on Mac?

I downloaded the zip file form Github, though I an unable to find a DMG file in the unzipped folder to install or run on Mac?

Just moved to MacOS from Windows, and not entirely familiar application install etc yet.

    • Do you own both mac and pc?
Well, first you are supposed to click on the link on download options with Release text that redirects you to several version.

You should be able to find the correct file depending on your OS.
Let us know how you go

  • EDIT Didn't read the first page, that never used to be there.

I'll try again and see if I have better success.

    T.I.A

    • Not having much luck. I think I need a fresh "root" (don't we all) but not sure where to start. Page references please or a PM if anybody is feeling helpful. I used to have a device that would work and now I'm getting a bit over having to ask a friend every time I need a new lock.

      Cheers.

      • +2

I rooted my old phone last week (Galaxy s8) and have had success.

The only extra thing I needed was to install the universal safetynet fix.

        https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/magisk-module-universal-s…

That said, it is a lot of fuss - I can usually get a reasonably good lock without having to travel too far from home if I pick the cycle wisely.

        • Cheers, I'll have a sus, I've got some old notes for the root so I'll flash the phone and start again and see how I get on.

  • Does the use of fuel lock impact Velocity points? I used my fuel lock but my points havent updated in Velocity. Should i scan my velocity in store as a precaution? Noting that I didnt have to scan my Velocity card to redeem the 711 point promo.

    • i have received velocity points for purchases with fuel locks

  • Hi guys,

  • Does anyone know how to make this work in ubuntu please - have followed all the steps for iFakelocation to be used with an iPhone but the file mentioned in the instructions doesn't seem to exist. Do we need to the compile from the source code first?

    • +1

I think I've just managed to puzzle this out myself. I am by no means proficient with linux so go forth at your own risk. I am on ubuntu 20.04.

Cant see how to remove the hyperlinks below so you can copy
      and paste into terminal.

      Setup
      In terminal:

      wget http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/icu/libicu57_57.…

      sudo dpkg -i libicu57_57.1-6+deb9u4_amd64.deb

      sudo apt-get install dotnet-sdk-2.2

You may also have to try:
      curl https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc | gpg —dearmor > microsoft.gpg

      sudo mv microsoft.gpg /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/microsoft.gpg

      sudo sh -c 'echo "deb [arch=amd64] https://packages.microsoft.com/repos/microsoft-ubuntu-bionic… bionic main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/dotnetdev.list'

      sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https

      sudo apt-get update

      sudo apt-get install dotnet-sdk-2.2

Then navigate in terminal to the folder you extracted the ifakelocation to (cd command)

      then:

      chmod +x iFakeLocation
      ./iFakeLocation

For reference this is a combination of these solutions:
      https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54065894/cannot-install-…
      https://github.com/dotnet/core/issues/4616#issuecomment-6193…

      • This seems to get it running.
But now I get this error when trying to find the ipad attached via USB.

Unable to load shared library 'imobiledevice' or one of its dependencies. In order to help diagnose loading problems, consider setting the LD_DEBUG environment variable: libimobiledevice: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

If anyone has luck or a solution to this please let me know!

  • Could anyone confirm if the gps spoofing apps like ifakelocation still work on iOS 15?

You could join the Apple beta program https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/ and upgrade your phone to iOS 15. Bit of a catch 22 though as you might have other issues depending on how you use/rely on your iPhone.

Hey Android people what's a current guide to a working method on this?

I noticed they have kept tightening this over time.

Hey guys, noticed Apple rolled out a new iOS update (14.7) and have updated the developer images. Just need to plug in your iDevice and try again and it should work (no need to re-download iFakeLocation).

    • Thanks so much! Really appreciate it!

Can we make a separate thread which goes through troubleshooting and people can post there if they need advice after troubleshooting? And link that to OP? There's 1333 people subscribed and for nearly a month, all notifications have been people asking for help. I'm all for helping but there's just so many notifications!

PS. Sorry about the notification ;)

    • +5

What do you want this thread for then? If it’s not for troubleshooting the fake location method of locking in fuel…

It was initially intended as a thread for fuel price notifications but that’s kinda moot with the various options for sites that track and notify.

  • +2

There's probably a better place to post this since it's not 100% related to 711 fuel app but I'll post anyway. If this is somewhere else already, apologies.

Currently the cheapest 91 fuel is 131.9 but local 711 is only 138.9, same as most other stations in the area

Just found out today that, you can stack a Coles shopping docket discount (4c) with a Car sales/Linkt (toll tag) (4c) and >$20 spend in store at coles express (10c) for 18c off per litre. Not to mention 1 fly buy point per $2 spent which is 0.25% off (~0.3c lol)

So if anyone has coles shopper dockets and assuming you can spend $20 on things you need in store, this may be more worthwhile depending on location

    • Yes, sometimes there are targeted Coles Express incentives as well. Principle also applies to Woolworths petrol.

      • Oh do woolworths/Ampol do the shop in store for additional cents off? and are they also partnered with Linkt/Carsales or anyone else?

https://www.caltex.com.au/woolworths also according to that FAQ discounts don't stack. TBH I've been using 711 for the past year I don't really know what other stations offer anymore. Would be good to know

        • 4c/L for Woolies supermarket receipt, spend $5 in store for another 4c/L, 5c/L reward often appears in EG Club app (formally Woolies fuel) and discounted Caltex gift cards for another 3%

          • @sween64: Also, if you have an NRMA membership, you get 5c off premium and 3c off regular fuels that you can stack with this.

  • Is there a price floor for u95 fuel or something? Sydney has been in lockdown for weeks and the price hasnt budged from 143.9 (besides a random dip to 139). Qld seems to be capped at thay price too

    • 144.7 lowest for U95 now
Should have just locked it at 143 !

      • They must be pretty conscious that there are a bunch of people lining up getting ready to fuel lock. Cheapest 3 in NSW & QLD were 143.9, all of a sudden it isn't.

At that price it isn't worth locking in for me, plenty of stations around me around 1.45~ plus you can stack those stations with discounted GC's, unlike 7-11

  • +1

I've locked in the price on my iPad but when I go to log into the same account on my android phone I get an error
"That didn't work quite as planned, there seems to be a problem. Error A02.

What could be the problem ?

edit: I've also created a new account using my phone and upon loading into the app it gives the same error.

    • Im getting same error even if i try to select my reward for 7th visit. On 2 android phones

    • Interesting, i'm getting the same error on my android phone.. i hope they didn't catch onto something!

      May have been maintenance

  • +3

I will be doing joyride the next few hours. Message me where you would like to fly to.

  • Went to a store thats run out of 91, but theyre not discounting 98. I thought it would have been standard for them to do this.

    • I've seen that happen at my local too. Often we were getting the Vic stores dropping? Maybe it's a state thing?

    • -5

What a rip off. Maybe report them to the ACCC?

      https://www.accc.gov.au/regulated-infrastructure/fuel/acccs-…

    • 14.6 DMG is enough. No issues am running 14.7.1

      • Thanks @georgev.

  • +1

Looking at the ACCC, the price hasn't moved since its peak at the end of June. This fuel cycle went to it's minimum on June 17th and it hasn't come back down almost 7 weeks later.

What gives? It went up very sharply but refuses to come back down again. Total BS IMO.

    • +3

I wonder if it is due to lower demand due to less people going out, and less people buying from the shop at the service station, so they need to set prices high to make a profit?

      • Has anyone seen this behaviour in the past? Don't they make a profit anyways, all the time? The servos do not get paid based on how much they sell for, but rather, a flat rater on the volume of fuel sold (happy to be corrected).

        • +1

Correct. I spoke to 7-eleven customer service who confirmed that head office sets prices for each store. They make about 1c per litre of fuel sold and rely on the actual products in store to make money.

          • @Ten: 1c/L?? I really thought they made much more

            • +3

@I Smell Pennies: Stores accrue 4c per litre sold from their head office, not 1c per litre.

          • @Ten: If they only make 1c per litre, how come prices differ so much between 7-11 servos?
Surely that is not explained by costs of transporting to that servo as neighbouring suburbs can be 10c apart

        • You only considered individual store, but the whole industry has got the impact. Hence, wholesale price is set high now. It is around 140c/l for ULP today.

      • Thinking about this from an economical standpoint, doesn't lower demand then create lower prices?

It would appear that demand is quite high or there is something else going on behind the scenes that we aren't privy to.

        • +1

Sure but cartels like OPEC affect pricing. Also currency fluctuations would be another factor. Aussie dollar has weakened lately.

          • @Sweetnsour: Maybe Netflix can use them for the next (cartel) show!

  • Has anyone raised a claim for un-scanned barcode where the fuel lock was done interstate using a helicopter ride? The clerk said the discount was applied when I scanned the barcode, but my card was charged full price.

    • What did your invoice say? Did the app tell you how much you had saved after?

      • The invoice has no mention of scan or discounted price

        • +1

Then it's time to claim the discount didn't work, you'll get a gift card in the mail.

If there's no mention of scan or discounted price, the machine didn't recognise your scan in or the system was down

    • Yep, no issues. They didn't ask anything.. but that was because the system was down.

      • Thanks, will try out, worst case I risk losing my account…

        • +2

You can always make another one. A login is all you need. You need to think about if the time you're going to put into it is worth the savings that was missed.

  • I go on my laptop to use IFakeLocation and open it, I refresh, it selects my iPhone and I find and set the location and nothing….. used it work fine but I haven't used it for a month or so with the lockdowns. Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm down to the last 30km in my tank :(

    • PM me with your email, I'll send you instructions for trial access to my self-service kiosk (credentials change periodically)

    • Had similar problem, rebooting my iPhone fixed the issue.

  • Anyone having issues signing into the app? Both my accounts showing "Error G09"?

    • Yes. Happening this morning

      • Here too today.

    • Any of you have the issue resolved??

    • I got this error message as well. Any solution to this? Maybe we got banned for using our helicopters to lock in fuel during lockdown? :D

      • Just got this reply from 7-11

Due to the suspicious activity, we are unable to reactivate your account

  • Hi all, I use an Android phone but want to get a cheap second-hand iOS device and jail break it for the purposes of locking in prices. What is the ideal iPhone/iPad etc to do this (in terms of price and ease of use)?

    • +4

I bought a cheap iphone 5s for $40. No need to jail break or root. Just install 3utools and it will work.

    • +1

Jailbreak is not necessary but does mean you can lock in prices without a computer.

  • Is the app still not working for anyone?

    • In what way is it not working?
It works for me but has been buggy.

      • I get error G09 when trying to log in, a few people above having the same issue.

        • iOS or Android?

Completely different to the bug I encountered. On iPhone 6 since the most recent app update it turns the GPS on as soon as you open the app, instead of when you click the Fuel Lock tab, and it causes the Offers and Rewards tabs to not load/remain greyed out until after clicking on the the Fuel Lock tab.

          • @mapax: Getting the error on both. I might try making a new account.

            • +1

@mrcosmo: Just got this reply from 7-11

              • @jobargain: I had the same issue too, I made a new account and it was fine

  • I have Iphone 7 with ios 14.7 and 2011 mackbook pro running macos 10.12.6

I have downloaded ifakelocation 1.5 and when i run, it recognises the iphone 7. Then, after searching for the location, when i click on Set fake location, nothing happens.

I make sure the phone is unlocked, recognised in Itunes.

    What am i doing wrong?

  • Hi

Using 3utools with my pc. I am getting an "error 10" message when I try to lock in a location. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

  • Hi,

Is it just me or is the map not working on 'ifakelocation'. I was on it a few hours ago and it was working but all of a sudden the map comes blank although the device can be detected.

    On macOS btw

    Thanks

    • +1

I was having the same problem on Windows 10, however looks like it's working fine for me now.

      • Great! Thanks!!

  • I got this at least a few days ago possibly last week and still have it now on the rewards and offers tab in the app.

"Currently unable to show your loyalty visits and rewards. Please check back later"

However the fuel lock tab doesn't seem to be locked out. Is this consistent with others who have now been banned?

    • Rewards and offers showing up OK for me

      • Did you have the come back later message earlier though?

        • Nope, have two accounts and checked both- working fine.

    • i get it from time to time, but never had an issue with any of my locks being applied when it happens.

I did a factory reset on my Samsung A20 and updated firmware to Android 11. Phone is not rooted and trying to use the app legitimately I get the Error E01 when trying to lock local price. It was working previously.

    • +3

Maybe try contacting official support channel? This page is more for people who prefer using chopper.

    • According to this comment, your A20 was rooted.
Error E01 means safetynet test failed.

Time to go patch your boot.img for android 11 image and send through, then safetynet test fix by kdrag0n.

      • Yes, my A20 would randomly start rebooting and when I saw it had an Android 11 rom, I thought I'd reset and try it out. A remnant of the previously failed test might have remained. Root checker app says phone doesn't have root access.

I'm pretty sure that 7-11 is aware of us chopper users. In term of their customer base, we are the minority.

It's unlikely that they are loosing money when we fill up. They just make less money from us. At the end of the day, it's probably work out better for them that we are not spending our money with their competitors.

  • I followed the recommended steps for Android … Rooted, completed smalli patcher… Still ending with error "Tgst didn't work quite as planned, there seems to be a problem. Error E01".

    Any suggestions please.

    • I’m getting a message saying “That didn’t work as planned, there seems to be an error”.

It doesn’t happen often but sometimes there might be a technical glitch. Try signing out of the app and back in again to see if this fixes the error. If not, there may be a system or account error so we’ll need your details to look into this. You can get in touch with us by going to Settings > Contact Us and selecting Other. Simply let us know about the error you’re receiving and our support team will resolve it for you as soon as possible.

Been searching OzB for the last 1 hour most ppl referring to this same thread but no one has written the anser. Is the hidden info for a reason. Can someone pls pm me if thats the case.

Looks like the party is about to come to an end in the not too distant future. Interesting article on root for Android devices. If I'm reading it correctly, apps like this will not be able to bypass the safetynet check and thus not work.

  • I just got my hands on a iphone 8 (yay!)

Can someone kindly link me to a ozbargain post higher up in the posts which explains how to do this method: "No Jailbreak - iFakeLocation(github.com), 3utools(3u.com)"

I can search through all the pages later tonight but it might take me a few hours - happy to do it but if someone knows what page it is on / can link it that would be appreciated!

I am not overly familiar with phone but I think I can follow a guide and implement it and I want to give this a red hot go as I can really do with some savings on petrol at the moment due to my job situation :(

    Thanks all.

    • Open the link to iFakeLocation and there are steps to change location.
      or
Download 3utools and plug in iphone. There is a 'virtual location' feature which you can modify.

They are pretty straight forward if you spend 5-10 mins messing around with the application

  • +1

The app is not working today. Can’t see offers or lock fuel. Anyone else?

    • Same here. Attempting to lock just shows the stores for about 30 seconds and comes up with error A02.

Going to store locator can find stores, but selecting a store fails to bring up fuel prices. I'd say there's a server-side outage…

    • Also having issues here

      • Same here. The price I locked did not apply in store so the staff suggested to send an email to claim.

        • Yeah all 3 of my accounts lock ins have all disappeared

        • May I know if you got any response after sent out email? I sent the email with receipt attached Sunday still no reply from 7-11.

          • +1

@Metro2450: Yes they replied to me and sent a gift card today. Tbh, I thought they're going to find out that I used chopper as I locked in from WA to use in NSW.

    • App "currently undergoing some maintenance."

      • Appears to be back up and running for me

  • +2

I hope it is just maintenance…

I tried to lock today and ran into error E01, after a little digging I realised that I was now failing safety net (ctsProfile)

Followed directions here and now am passing safety net check - https://droidholic.com/fix-safetynet-failed-cts-profile-fals…

App now giving me error A02 and the only time I have been able to get offers page up was after clearing cache and data from the 711 app. The fuel lock page comes up and lets me 'try' to lock but stores just keep flashing and then after a while it gives me the error code. Offers page tells me 'currently unable to retrieve offers. Please check back later. Rewards basically says same thing. Store locater works but 'unable to retrieve fuel prices'

For reference I am using magisk and GPS joystick on android 11 and everything was working perfectly last time I used it (I think Thursday)

    • still can't lock fuel price atm

      • +2

Im starting to lean towards a maintenance type situation so going to just wait until tomorrow and hopefully it sorts itself out

  • +1

I'm coming up cold as well in Android and iOS.

It picks up the location on iOS but then after a couple of seconds trying to find prices it tells me "Oops no connection!".

Interestingly enough the same happens also without fake location, so I am leaning to server side maintenance.

  • +1

    App is down for maintainence.

  • Has anyone been able to lock in today? I keep getting Error E01. Tried clearing cache, deleting data, checked Magiskhide

    • E01 means safety net test fail

Have you tried to put in the kdragon safety net fix 1.2.0?

      • I'm trying to resolve it now. I was thinking this could be the reason but no one has said this in this forum. I'll keep you all posted. Currently using universal safetynet fix v2.0.0 on samsung S10+, Android 11 and it isn't working.

    • +3

Hey all, I found that after the latest magisk update, it stuffed up safetynet passing. I used the link below and managed to get safetynet to pass.

      https://droidholic.com/fix-safetynet-failed-cts-profile-fals…

Error E01 indeed is caused by safetynet failing.

When 7-11 went through and disabled/banned accounts, mine was one of them. I had my velocity account linked to that but now can not link it to a new account as 'it is already registered'. I can't login to that account anymore to de-register and the Velocity website says to login to the 7-11 app to de-link. Has anyone found a way around this to de-link/register with the disabled accounts?

    • I'm in the same boat, 7-11 refuse to do anything about it so I've requested they delete my account and any personal details related to that account. Hoping that will break the link….

      • So CS came back to me and said they can't delete my account because it's blocked…. what a pain

        • Pretty sure they have to under protection of your information link

  • Unable to login on 7/11 iOS

    • Did you see the message?

      Maintenance.

    • Create a new account and try again?

      • Thx, will give it a shot.

    • +3

I have the same issue as well, but only on the rooted 7/11 helicopter phone, which means I couldn't manually type in username and password. But I've figured out a work around, which requires you to be using Google Chrome and add saved username and password on a computer.

When using Google Chrome as your default browser you can save usernames and passwords on websites, and if you haven't follow this link - "How to add a password-input field into the page with the Chrome DevTools":

      https://superuser.com/questions/1519402/how-can-i-manually-a…

Then go to: https://auth.7eleven.com.au/ to start the process.

But instead of adding the suggested coding, add "<form><input type="field"><input type="password"><input type="submit"></form>", which will allow you to type your username and password, once typed and clicked on submit, you should then be able to save your username and password for the 7/11 auth page.

Once password is saved, force quit Chrome on your phone and try logging in again, this time, the saved password option should pop up and you should be able to just tap on it and it will insert your username and password automatically, then just tap on sign in.

  • "That didn't work quite as planned, there seems to be a problem. Error A02"

Is anybody familiar with this error code and why its occurring?

I'm stuck having done the following: flashed lightROM onto an old Samsung Galaxy S7 to get Android 9. Got Magisk 23.0 and enabled MagiskHide, did Smali patcher from page 1, did the safety net fix from an earlier post - https://droidholic.com/fix-safetynet-failed-cts-profile-fals…

  • So it's been working for a while but then it comes up with an error that says "We've detected your location isn't true"

It use the same data as Project Zero Three, but with a prettier UI and you can copy the coordinates.

          • @thangcuoi: Thats awesome, I didnt notice the copy coordinates feature at first glance.

            • @notJV: Neither did I. It was pointed out to me when I asked a similar question recently.

My main concern was that the person behind this new site is piggybacking on the work that was done by the creator of Project Zero Three and at the same time diverting donations away from the original creator.

At the end of the day, it's up to the user to choose which website they use and who they donate to.

          • +4

@thangcuoi: It doesn't use the same data or piggyback, he is doing his own data collection. Those rare times that zero three stops refreshing you can switch to refinery and it's got different data.

ElevenMe app on the play store is piggybacking from zero three data and soliciting donations & ad removal fee.

            • @Agret: That's good to know. I assumed they were using the same data when I compared the two sites and they were showing the same info.

              • +7

@thangcuoi: See this comment by Vu (creator of refinery.fyi)

Hi everyone, inspired by master131 and keen for a weekend challenge I've created another option to check for fuel prices

                Introducing Refinery(refinery.fyi)

At it's core it's not much different to P03, however not wanting to piggyback off master131's work it does source it's own data. One feature to note is that you can select a price to copy the location's coordinates to your clipboard.

I also made a Twitter bot(twitter.com) that posts a morning and evening price update, as well as any price drops seen during the day. I had hoped to be able to finish the ability to receive your own custom price alerts via DMs by today, but wonderful weekend weather put a delay to that, so it might be done sometime later this week.

If you have any feature requests or if you encounter any bugs or issues, please let me know. Happy to hear what you think!

Vu's comment underneath confirms it uses 7-Eleven data directly

          • @hurr1cane: sorry for the hassle people I think it might be my Android Phone, I have uninstall and re-install the apps and it is working again. I should have done this before posting here :-(

    • @LockIt Will this kill your website?

    • +1

Will be doing another lock in today so will see if anything has changed

Lol great way to make some cash

    • +10

$1/5 mins to facilitate the transaction
Or, $12/hr (assuming consistent workflow/requests which won't happen).

Low return on their time for whoever's doing it lol

      • And that's if he is constantly getting orders from customers, really I'd expect him to give up soon from how little worth it is ahaha

      • +1

I think they're doing it for the velocity points tbh

        • +2

Let's assume "the customer" fills $100 worth of petrol.

          Double velocity points, 200 velocity points = 1 kf/1.55 velocity = 129 kf pts x 193.5c

So $1.94~$1.31 worth in kris flyer points assuming the customer will fill up 60L~40L of petrol

Then you got to link up the velocity account (which will undoubtedly get stuck to the 7/11 account once the account gets G09 banned and there's no way to unlink it)

That's a lot of effort for $2 worth of points, with the high risk that the velocity accounts get stuck.
So you got to create a lot of ghost velocity accounts to link to your 7/11 accounts (not an issue to create these ones)

Also need to find a way to send the points from the ghost velocity accounts to your main velocity/kris flyer

So let's say they gain $24/hr (in the form of points) and $12/hr in the form of cash for carrying out the fuel lock.
That's a lot of effort for $36/hr effective, where 2/3rds of that is uncertain and has a high chance of being stuck.

Hey guys, my host provider's services are completely down - can't even reach their homepage. Don't have an ETA for when it will be back up unfortunately so ProjectZeroThree is down until that's resolved.

You can use Refinery in the meantime thanks to Vu: https://refinery.fyi

Your website is up already :) thank you

  • Android system can be installed on Windows 11 now. Does this mean 7 Eleven App can be used on a computer for easy mock location?

    • +1

      Can it pass SafetyNet?

You need rooted android to be able to install Magisk Modules into that android instance to be able to present the mock location as native location

Unless the "location presented" in windows 11's android is already classed as "native location", it's a no-go.

    • +2

You sure about that? I thought it was just amazons app store

I have a new MacBook, so lost my previous working version. I've installed iFake, my phone trusts my laptop and updated Net 5.0 run time . Yet, when I enter a location and press on Set Fake Location. Nothing on my iPhone changes.

Does anyone know what I've missed here?

    Edit

I had to download the developer image. I will leave this here, in case anyone else gets stuck in the future. It does pay to read the instructions lol.

I do now how to lock price on my iPhone in window OS ( with 3utool) but now I got Mac (with bigsur) and I need bit more help with what n how to install and able to lock price on my iPhone 11.

I have tried instruction from main page from this forums but for some reason I am not able to get success.

    thank you

    • +2

      https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation/releases

I just installed this onto my MacBook - no issues in doing this. The only step that wasn't in the instructions was to go into System Preferences > Privacy and allow the .DMG to be installed from an unverified source. Works like a charm!

      • +2

        Thank you it worked

  • Sorted.

  • Thanks for the detailed instructions throughout the whole thread. The "chopper" was working fine until a couple of weeks ago but now I'm unable to login to the account on my rooted android phone. Says error A02. Things that I have tried are:

    • Restarting the phone
    • Uninstall / reinstall app
    • Safety net is passing, applied latest one that I found somewhere recently on the thread.

I'm able to login on my primary phone (which isn't rooted) but not on my rooted phone.

Anyone facing similar issues ? Since I travel a lot, I like to have the capability of locking when required. Currently using the iphone method, but keen to get on to the Android one as soon as possible.

    • +1

have a few accounts. if you're on the road for less than a week you can plan how many times you want to fill up and lock in the price before you leave and swap accounts as you need?

      • This is what I'm doing for the moment. But get difficult at times. Hence looking at a better solution

    • Which iPhone do you have? Maybe you could jailbreak the phone so you can lock wherever you are.

      • It's the old iphone SE that I'm currently using to lock. Sometimes use the iPad as well.

        • If the iPhone SE 1st Gen is still on iOS 14 then it can be jailbroken. DM me for further.

It's is the current cheapest U98 from 7-Eleven nationwide although it's only 6.2c under the recent trend

    • Thank u

  • Does the ifakelocation need to be consistently updated? I've got it from a few months ago and was working fine until 4-6 weeks ago, now I press refresh and it selects my device but doesn't update my location after I set it? iPhone 14.8 connected to macbook air

    • It doesn't have to be, it picks up new iOS versions automatically but there may be new updates to iFakeLocation itself from time to time. The latest version is v1.6.0, so maybe give that a try if the one you have isn't working properly.

  • keep getting the message 'Access to the path '/Users/lewisedwards/Documents/DeveloperImages/15.0/DeveloperDiskImage.dmg' is denied.
its been working completely fine up until now and I haven't changed anything on my end.. anyone know any fix for this?

    • Which version are you using?

  • Hi, I am thinking to buy cheap IPhone 6 or 7 to install apps and follow guidance. Can you please let me know it should be ok for this purpose? Thanks

    • +2

The 7-eleven app requires iOS 12 or later at the moment. iphone 5S is the oldest (and therefore cheapest) iphone that has iOS 12.

      • Thanks mate. I will find iphone 5s to see how it works. Since I used Android thus I am not quite sure about Jailbreak. Any advice related to this should be great.

        • +2

You won't need to jailbreak. 3utools or iFakeLocation work tethered to a PC or Mac.

  • Can we still lock out of state? I've been told by some people that 7/11 servo's only accept fuel locks in the same state.

    • +1

      Who told you that?

Been locking across Australia for the last 5 years..

G09 means your account has been banned (when you try to login) but nothing stopping you from signing up multiple times :)

      • +2

I heard it from someone when they updated the app. Awesome that you can still do it out of state though!

So for Android I just need a rooted phone + magisk + safetynet module?

  • Hi all, not sure if others are having the same issue. The fakelocation was working for me perfectly but today it kept saying that 'Mount failed with status: N/A and error: ImageMountFailed'. I did recently upgraded to the new iPhone but can't figure out what's the issue. Phone running on iOS15.0.2. I'm using Windows laptop.

Any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

    • Is your iTunes open? Phone unlocked etc…?
