This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

    silly question time;
    locking a WA price sets a WA time for expiry, 3 hrs behind the east.
    I presume I can use this voucher until that time in WA, it will be 3 hrs ahead of the expiry time when i travel back east (!)
    because expiry is the time on the 7-11 server, not the time on my phone. yes?

        @popichinoy and @sween64 it’s on the iPhone app not browser. Sorry for the confusion.

        I even tried reinstalling app and it did the same thing. Very strange.

          I ran into this problem too. The workaround for me was to quit the 7-11 app and also the safari browser. Then launch the 7-11 app and try to sign in again. Hope this works for you.

          I had a sign in issue when using the app and I had my default browser changed to Edge. A changed it back to Safari and I was able to sign in on the app. A similar thing has occurred in two other apps.

    I've got an older iPhone 6 looks to be on 12.5ios.
    I've just tried the first method with no luck saying my phone version isn't compatible. I don't know idevices too well, is thst phone and ios to old to use ifake v1.41?
    Sorry if answered before just getting a handle on i devices was hard enough.

      I tried the past 3 versions of iFakeLocation and none work with iOS 12.5

      Sign out, sign in.
      If that doesn't work, go to Settings>App>My 7 eleven and clear storage used by app.

    Anyone having issues with ifakelocation on ios 14.3? It downloads the new developer image but then fails to mount it, no matter how many times I try. There's nothing mentioned on github.

    PS: Still works via 3uTools

      Same here. But I've never used it before so thought I was doing something wrong.

      Just tried 3uTools and that works. Just figured the lat and long are switched around when you copy and paste from Google Maps

        Are you sure? I was under the impression that when the new app was released and the store locator was removed, @master131 had to revert to using alternative sources as the new api didn't support it or something like that? Happy to stand corrected

    G'Day Guys,

    Currently Running a jailbroken iPhone 7 on iOS 14.2 .

    I have Liberty Lite and Relocate Reborn Downloaded, but cannot lock in fuel. I am able to spoof my location on the 7/11 app and see the fuel prices, but at the final stage when I click the 'Lock In' button, the 7/11 app pops up with 'Uh Oh! That didn't quite go as planned… There seems to be an error". Anyone experiencing similar issues?

    Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Anyone receiving an Error E03 when trying to lock-in the price via iPhone app? Trying location change via 3u Tools. Location change is successful since it shows on maps. Similar to issue reported by @zef above me. Any help would be wonderful!

    Is anyone able to run ifakelocation on Mac 10.14.6?

    I'm trying to get it to work on my cousin's Mac but I don't know anything about Mac (I use Windows) so have tried following the instructions on Github including creating the DeveloperImage folder but that hasn't worked. There's no error or anything

      I was in the same boat, saw the advice to create the folder if it didn't work, hesitated, then saw in the Requirement section to install ".NET Core 2.2 (macOS 10.12 "Sierra" or newer)" and then it worked without having to create the folder.
      There is a link in the Requirement section to install this .NET Core 2.2. Hope this does the trick for you.

    Not sure if someone asked this already. Can it be rooted and used with the Android option provided in the thread description?

      If it can install 7/11 app and lock normally now, and if it can get to a lineage OS equivalent of android 10, I don't see why not

        Checked the tablet, its on Android 6 hence I think when I go to play store, 7 11 app doesn't show up.
        Do u think if I root, install Android 10, it should work the 'we want to work? Thx.

              @bargainisg8: I ran this command "fastboot boot twrp-3.4.0-0-deb.img" (this image file is the latest) which restarted the device in TWRP mode, as per instructions, I tried to sideload the Lineage ROM but it wouldn't then I rebooted the device, and now its stucked at the Google logo and doesn't move on. Looks its bricked and my laptop can't recognise the device anymore.

              Any one any idea to bring it back to life? Thanks.

                @bargainisg8: Boot your tablet to fastboot and then use this command

                fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.4.0-0-deb.img

                After flashing run this command

                fastboot reboot recovery

                Inside twrp format all your partitions and then enable usb storage mode and copy the latest LineageOS for your device and flash it again

                  - Tried to install from twrp,
                  - adb sideload <<zip file name>> command from recovery mode.

                  Download section takes u to the Google Drive.
                  Since above had issues, I searched for Lineage 17 for Nexus 7 tab on net but all of them giving page 404 error. If u know a reliable source from where to download, pls share.

                      @Agret: Model = 2013 LTE version. BTW, I tried the ROM suggested from above xda page. Been getting Error 7, tried removing assert line but no luck.

                        Q: Whenever I try flashing any lineage-17.1 build, I get the following error in TWRP: Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
                        A: This error appears whenever you try to flash an Oreo-based rom within a version of TWRP older than 3.3. Simply flash the linked below version 3.3 or higher, reboot back into recovery, and flash the rom zip again.

                        Q: I am seeing Error 7 when trying to flash a GApps package.
                        A: This is due to the system partition being too small to fit both the rom and the GApps package. You need to re-partition it with a tool such as the one created by Clamor (linked below). You will only need to do this once.

                            I'd try switching your recovery to the one in that thread even if it's slightly older version if you still have problems after the repartition as some roms have strange install script that only plays nice with certain recoveries.

                              @Agret: Had to find the system repartition.zip, flashed this first before flashing the 17.1 rom, it worked. Linegage n gapps r now installed. Pheeeww…

                              Then I went to look for magisk n appninja gps aps on playstore, couldn't locate them. Whats the app name on playstore pls?

                              When magisk is mentioned, do they mean by twrp? If yes, I guess zip file created after smallipatcher's operation, u install it via twrp recovery mode.

                                Huhu…managed to install Magisk & a clone of GPS joy stick from App Ninjas. Downloaded the 7 11 app but login does not work. Same login works on my mobile but not on my rooted device.
                                Has anyone had any trouble around this?

    I am all set up with "Root - Magisk + Smalli patcher w/ mock location" but when I download 7 11 app n try to logon, it can't logon i.e. asks my uname/pwd, I punch that in but get ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME error. Same logon works on my primary phone but not on my rooted tab.

    I also hide 7 11 app from magisk manager, magisk also pass the SafetyNet but not joy. I didn't even reach to the stage when I have to turn the mock location on.

    HELP please?

    EDIT: it turned out to be after rooting, device was trying to open the logon on its default browser. I made it open in Chrome and voila, it worked. Fantastic. I've got this working, thanks to all especially @ cwongtech and @Agret.

    I know a lot of us like to take our choppers out for a spin, especially with cheap fuel and covid restrictions.

    But, for those refuelling their in Melbourne, please be mindful of your fellow residents and police as some of our fellow Melbournian ozbargainers are a little annoyed about the noise and harassment and the police are getting the blame too.

    All, need your expert guidance on price lock on iPhone.
    my friend tried configuring the 3utools & using 7-Eleven app for price look but he is getting this error :
    No local price available
    Your selected fuel type is not available near you current location

    He has tried for all the fuel types but sill getting same error.
    Any idea how to fix this issue? Thanks.

      His location is not set in. Make sure of his location. Search for the area move the marker a little bit.

    For any noobs out there, iFakeLocation is super easy to use. Just did it on a spare iphone 8 I had lying around (ios version 14.3).

    Received some mounting error initially which I was able to fix by following these steps: https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation#how-to-make-it-wo….

    Took less than 5 mins to lock in u95 @ $1.179 when my nearest local price is almost $1.70. Giddy up.

      Are you doing the same for car insurance too cos I've got a tip for you. You can cancel your car insurance before the end of the first month and it's free. Rinse and repeat. :)

          Isn't the budget already calculated by the lease company based average fuel price history, your mileage and the average fuel usage of the vehicle?
          I believe fuel should also be GST free like all your other running costs?

    Hi there …

    I have installed lineage 17 (android 10) on an old nexus 5. Did the method on the first page with the magisk and smali injector, made the joystick the mock location app but when I load 7/11 app it says. Your device is not supported, Restore to factory settings!

    What else do i need to do or check to get it to work. Magisk report safetynet pass.

      Have a play with the app. It should take you less than 1 minute to figure it out. If not, the T&Cs will cover it off for you.

      This is probably the reason why you are getting negged.

    Updated my iPhone 12 to iOS 14.4 and now iFakeLocation comes up with an error "Unable to mount developer image" when I try to set fake location :(

    Anyone else having the same problem?
