  • 512gb is $699. Worth the upgrade? Thanks

  • my 512gb unit is on its way!

  • Not bad. Terrible processor. This is better IMO for $160 more with a 7th gen i5:

    CPU comparison: http://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-intel_core_m3_6y30-…

    • IMO the M3 CPU is good for most stuff you'd want to do on a 13" ultralight, it's roughly the equivalent of a mobile i3.

The advantage of the M3 is passive cooling so no fan to get clogged with dust/lint, and very low power consumption so it runs all day.

If I didn't get a refurbed M3 QHD Zenbook from an earlier deal I would get this.

      • I sort of agree but this CPU is really very weak. For example, this is even slower than mainstream laptops sold in 2010 (eg. i5-2520m). Sure, it's an ultrabook but most aren't as bad as this, eg. the deal from team teri below

  • Can the keyboard be separated from the unit so the touchscreen can be used purely as a tablet?

  • Not as good as this deal was:

SSD is easy to upgrade. Screen and CPU not so.

But it has UK keyboard layout. :( See comment

  • I missed the sale, price change again. Back to $599~

        Thanks, you're a legend.
        I will return my UX360UA :)

  • This or the Acer Aspire R5. Both similarly priced.

However this does have the m processor vs i5.

My only use will be browsing and media, So battery life, weight and screen would be on my high priority. The Acer on the heavy side is making me a bit hesitant to go this route.

    • I went with the r5 over this solely for processor. Not being able to upgrade the 4gb ram sucks though.

  • The deal is back again.
