How is this better than the Ryzen AliExpress ones which are 1/4th of the price?

    • Can you actually get them for like $400?

      • +1

For something comparable to this on aloexpress would cost you around 600
Only thing you lose would be
        Warranty
        Thunderbolt
        Maybe reliability

        He should have said 1/2-1/3rd.

And to answer his question, for the average user who simply needs a "newer pc" for school, social media, maybe some photo editing and watching movies - id say its not.

Local warranty is likely the only tempting part. Maybe thunderbolt? But most home users dont understand thunderbolt vs usb-c anyway, so, ymmv.

        • Yeah unless warranty is a must no point in this, you could also get something similar on Amazon when they go on sale for less that half that as well if you don't want to deal with AliExpress

    • Do you have a link?

  • Any idea if the 2x1tb m.2 nvme can be configured with raid 0?

  • Is there an option for something similar dimensions but with a better graphic card?

    • USFF PCs are too small for there to be room for discrete graphics.

This one has a thunderbolt port, so you can connect an eGPU. They start at ~$200 on AE.

SFF are usually cheaper than a USSF with the same specs and you don't need a eGPU. If you don't need to run a RTX 5090, you'll be better off buying a SFF PC with support for a low profile GPU. Check that the power supply can deliver enough juice for the card you want to run.

    • The supposed upcoming NUC with the Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 (worst chip name ever) should give 4060 speeds in a mini computer.

Otherwise look for ITX builds that pop up on here. They’re larger than this but allow for a dedicated GPU.

    • The Asus Nuc 14 Performance are not heaps bigger than this, and come with a 4060 or 4070(laptop versions). They are considerably more expensive though.

  • Garbage.

Beelink Ryzen 7/32GB is $479 on Amazon at the moment.

  • Everywhere I look it's very hard to justify buying an Intel chip. For this price range, performance, efficiency and price AMD-based mini PCs almost ways come on top.

In brutal honesty these over priced items will only be bought by businesses when no one is spending their own money. And peace of mind/warranty might have a bit of value there.

Best to buy other Mini PCs via Amazon (either sold by Amazon or the brand's official Amazon online outlet) - Amazon's return/warranty gives me peace of mind compared to say Aliexpress.

For example 8745HS on Amazon, say around $700~$800 - other than on the edge use case where Intel QuickSync has an advantage, every other situation a 8745HS beats i7-13620H, both CPU and iGPU raw performance and also efficiency
