OPPO F1s A1601 (4G/LTE, 16MP, 3GB RAM) - Gold - Unlocked $334.8 (+ $100 eBay Voucher When CnC at Woolies/BigW) @ Mobileciti eBay

180

Oppo F1s unlocked; the Optus version sold by the Optus online store is locked and also has network bands optimised for Optus; this one is uncrippled for networks.

Oppo's price is $348, but $338 with a $100 voucher is a decent deal.

Note that the Australian model of the F1s is not dual-SIM. It has one SIM slot (nano-SIM) and one microSD slot.

This model does support B28 (local AU stock).

The Optus prepaid model does not support Band 5 (850MHz) 4G for Vodafone, and 850MHz 3G for Telstra/Vodafone, this is a slightly different handset from that sold by Optus.

Pretty good deal, when Optus sells it at $339 unlocked ($259.00 + 80.00 for unlock). Might as well get a voucher with it.

    It's a really good phone

  • You can get it for $259 from optus and get it unlocked via ebay for $10 so in total you can get the unlock phone for $269.

    • I can't seem to find an unlock service on ebay for the f1s, could you link your $10 one?

      • Yes, i got mine unlocked in 2 hours using the following service
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252569068182?_trksid=p2060353.m14…

        • That is for the f1, does it also work for f1s in deal?

@Reggienator: Yes , i first contacted the seller and he confirmed to me that he can unlock F1s too, then I bought the phone and provided him the IMEI number ( ofcourse after buying on ebay), the phone model and the network its locked to, within 2 hours he sent me the code and it worked like a charm

It shows as not in stock any more; and the only other sources I see for unlocking Oppos are $30+

More important is the fact that Optus have mucked the support for 850MHz LTE (Voda) and 850MHz 3G (Telstra and Voda)

        • @twister292:
Most likely to stop us unlocking haha

    • Optus version is crippled to support Optus network; support for 850MHz is limited in the Optus version so it's not as useful on telstra or voda.

The unlock will allow you to use other carriers, however, the phone will still be locked to Optus network

      https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2572795&…

The network bands are locked on the Optus F1s to the ones that Optus uses. The network band lock will remain even after an unlock code is supplied by Optus to let you use other carriers. Just wanted this information to be out there so everyone can choose which is the most suitable option before purchase!

It's better than Optus version because network issue.

Be careful OzBargainers, on the ebay store this phone has this name in the title:
    OPPO F1s A1601 (4G/LTE, 16MP, 3GB RAM) - Gold - Unlocked
But in the specs it says 32GB in a few different places. So what is this phone, 32GB or 16GB?

    • +6

      16 MP - 16 megapixel front camera - not 16 GB.

      • Oops thanks for pointing that out, my mistake

      Hi hoverboardrider

      its 32GB version.

      • Hi Just wanted to know if I get the Moto G4 plus 32gb do i get the voucher and how can i confirm I am getting the voucher? I do not see it during checkout?

        thanks

        • You should; just select Click and Collect at Woolworths/Big W as the delivery option

    • Lol!

  • Is this 2 sims, does the 2nd sim supports 3G , like Moto G4>

    • +1

      Australian models are single SIM

Not worth it for one sim

  • I have the oppo F1f which is a 5" 720p phone with practically the same specs but better PPI

unless you really need the fingerprint scanner the F1f is a better phone then the F1s in my opinion,
however oppo make great phones and I reckon they are best bang for buck, If anyone has one of these how is the PPI 5.5" @ 720p? thats my biggest worry if this was 1080p I would probably get one! :)

  • Is support Vodafone network?

    • yes, its support vodafone network.

  • I ordered one yesterday through ebay, but still no news about dispatch. I live just around the corner from Mobileciti in Parramatta, but still can't get my hands onto this new phone :-(

    • Hi Bucksaver
