  • Its a joke how they claim 0% and then charge a fee for the full amount..

  • Got mine free for life .

    • same here. then they upgraded to signature card

        How ?

      • Interested to know how to. I called them last week to ask for upgrade and they said I will be charged for annual fee of $299.

        • they just sent email do you want to get upgraded to signature from platinum, i said yes (this is longgg time ago, i was with them like more than 10 years), but i just realised then they have moved us again to infinite card. now i have infinite, just like alot of other people.
          example:
          http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/citibank…

        • @eisniwre:

I got Signature free for life the last time the offer was on - hasn't reappeared AFAIK.

    • how?!

      • They had an offer a few years back on OzB

  • What's the referral bonus OP

    • In the email it says - Thanks to your friend, you can earn 80,000 bonus points on your first spend1, plus loads of benefits.

      • So if you use a referral you get 80k points with an annual fee of $249.

If you use the bank direct link, you get 250 cash back with annual fee of $99

How often does the free for life promotion do they have?

    • Once a year prior 2015.

  • as existing customer i never get free BT transfer anymore after i paid off my last one around 6 months ago.

    • Notice how the existing customer don't get anything, but someone off the street with no cred, first time customer, gets a Platinum card, fee free for the life of the card.

      What a joke.

I've had my Platinum cards fee waived now for the past 4 years, first few times were a breeze, but this last time was an effort. They would not budge and didn't want to waive it. I said fine.. and said put me through to the complaints department, a few minutes later, they said they can waive the fee again one more time this time.

Repeat and rinse I guess, but no way in hell I'm paying a an annual fee for a credit card, when there are so many free options out there.

  • There is an offer which you can borrow money from Citi credit card for 6.9% fixed repayment. It looks like a personal loan but much cheaper.

  • Not a great deal

  • Are payments to the ATO eligible for reward points?

    • No

  • A word of warning - not very easy to get approved. And this is coming from someone who has only been refused twice, for Woolworths card and this one (+100K income, no debts, substantial net worth).

    • I got this card a few years back when i was working contract part time, 5 days a fortnight on public service wages.

  • Just wondering… if after 23 months you've paid all your Balance Transfer amount, you can just close the account without having to pay the 2nd annual fee - correct? So you'll just have to make sure you finish paying before your 2nd year and you get 23 months 0% Balance Transfer and you'll only have to pay 1,5% transfer fee and the first year (discounted) fee of $199?
