Those are some insanely good specs at that price.

A very quick websearch reveals good reviews - but the missing Amazon ones are a bit concerning.

Im currently in the market for a new tablet - does anyone own this or the last version who can comment?

I had a Chuwi Hi8 and found the touch screen to be terrrible (very inaccurate) and the device frequently blue screened. Sorry, cannot recommend, no matter the price.

same. sometimes the device will restart itself for no reasons.

      • ah well…. too good to be true! thanks for the feedback

I bought the previous version a year ago and it's been great. Solid (~7hr) battery life, hardware's taken a few knocks and keeps going. Dual OS is a bit of a gimmick but comes in useful sometimes.

Strongly recommend forking out a bit extra for the keyboard/case - makes it heaps more useful.

  • I bought the Hi12 a couple of weeks ago and it arrived a few days ago - about 9 days shipping. The tablet itself seems rather good for my purposes and I have had no problems with the performance. The only issue was with the included USB adapter which would not charge the unit at all. I used a phone charger and it charges fine. They gave me a $50 credit for the broken charger.

    • I also purchase the chuwi hi12.
Been using it only in android and am finding touch screen often require hard press else it wouldn't register. If u search online and on chuwi forum, others also have this issue and there is no fix for it currently with no sign of a fix occurring. Because of this I wouldn't recommend chuwi brand.

  • If I have to choose one of many Chinese tablets, I would rather buy Teclast X98 Plus. Not Chuwi H10.

    • Care to elaborate? Why do u prefer the Teclast?

      • Teclast are generally considered one of the better Tablet manufacturers.

    I just bought this thing..

More or less the laptop version of this. 14.1" 1080p 1.2 Kg with a proper keyboard for about the same price. No touchscreen.

    • Looks good!

    • Looks mighty fine, a true MBA clone!

    • Looks fantastic. Wish it also support Android.
Did you get any further discount? It's currently $190US

      • no further discount for me. Just the usual Cashrewards.

No touch display.. so definitely not Android friendly. Its more of a netbook replacement really.

        • Thanks. I was going to get the Chuwi H10 today but this one got me thinking now :)

    • Please write a review when it comes.

      • It's arrived

Screen: Doesn't look like IPS. Colours isn't great. Blacks is a bit grey.. the brigther white colours seems a bit clipped. Easily the worst screen I've used in ages.. (I'm used to quality IPS screens nowadays)
Battery: Roughly 6 hours. Can get pretty hot.
Keyboard: Doesn't flex. Sometimes keys doesn't register.. overall usable but not great.
Touchpad: Annoying. Sometimes goes slow by itself. Barely usable
Performance: Quite good. Faster than my Baytrail atom tablets. Plays 4K Youtube in IE. Very usable for day to day stuff.

Overall… ok for the price, but certainly has its annoyances.

        • Bummer eh. Thank you for the review.

        • @scrimshaw: You should checkout Techtablets if you're in the market. Chris knows what's good.

  • I have looked at the Chuwi Hi10, but am more inclined to buy a Pipo WS1 keyboard combo to use as a travelling netbook - see review
