That main meal description just made me really hungry… Needs paua though:)

And some Long Pig would be good.

If they were to cheat slightly, and call the puha "milk-thistle" they could double the prices and call it a de-tox. Putting water-cress in there may turn away some silly pakeha but most other cultures would flock to that…

    • Needs pig and eel and I don't see the rotten aqua-marinated corn [ not that I'm complaining about the latter :-p]

NZ Tamaki Maori Village Discount Evening Cultural Experience - $89

Cheaper to just visit Clayton in Melbourne…

  • OP - if you haven't already, I suggest you post this on the NZ site: https://www.cheapies.nz/

You probably won't find too many OzBargainers who happen to be in Rotorua to take up this offer… :)

This OzBargainer is in Rotorua right now. Haha.

  • queenstown deal?

    • commenting to follow…

I usually just go to Logan if I want to see a display of Maori culture.

  • Good deal for those in (or heading to) Rotorua.
Just keep in mind that there are two main competitive "Maori Village Cultural Evenings"; the other one is here: http://www.mitai.co.nz

I won't say which is better, but it's best that you do your research.

    • Well Tamaki is #2 and Mitai is #10 of TripAdvisor's things to do in Rotorua.
Ratings subject to change. Both are 4.5/5.

  • Adults (15 years+) - $94

So it's a whole five bucks off the almost $100 for admission…wow, somebody's head's gonna roll over that loss… :/

  • I used to live not far from Roto-sinky (sulfur smell) and we always heard the Tamaki Bros one (this one) was the one to go to. I went there and it was a blast (not like the pink terraces).

  • Good to see an aussie dessert on the menu.

    • cheeky banter

    • Claim that, and you also have to collect your free Russell Crowe.
