Geelong Storage Units: 5 Shelf 200kg $39.2 / 4 Shelf 150kg $31.98 @ Masters

231

Appears to be part of the current Masters storage sale, and a great price considering that it is $9.8 cheaper than this deal in February

5 Shelf Unit
4 Shelf Unit

Looking at past posts, feedback on these are pretty good.

Frazel:

I have two of these which I highly recommend. Great buy!

2stroksmokr:

Definitely recommend these, got it for $99 few years back and the boards are very strong will recommend this.

Unity1:

Purchased this wider (1200mm vs 800mm) unit from a previous deal. Easily put together and very solid.

Grayfox:

Purchased the 4 tier one recently when on sale. Great quality product and looks good in the garage. Now thinking about ordering this one too.

Montorola:

I initially went in the to purchase the elcheapo $15 ones but ended up walking out with these. Trust me, they look really nice in the garage.

PVA:

More like the Gold Coast need to go into storage after yesterday's performance…

    • Gold Coast could do better than you, jv.

        I doubt it.

    • Wrong again. Someone is a sore loser

    Made in Geelong Province, China

    • Melbourne Province is just a stones throw away.

They both hate Adelaide Province though.

  • The equivalent at at Bunnings is still on sale, as per: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/244665

The Bunnings ones are $1.20 cheaper, slightly larger (depth/width) and IMHO slightly better because the top shelf is sits flush with the top of the legs.

        oops, my bad.
At $10 cheaper the Masters ones are worth considering then. :)

        • I have 4x Bunnings units for the shed and thought I'd get some of the cheaper Masters ones for inside the house.

Ordered online via the link on this post, but was given 'Amazon' brand shelving units (same specs) when I picked up in-store.

Unfortunately the quality between the two is not compatible, the Masters ones are cheap flimsy junk compared to the much sturdier Bunnings ones (which are now out of stock).
The ones from Masters do not assemble well, have no extra reinforcement and - for me - are not even worth using inside let alone in the shed with heavy stuff on them … so they are going to be returned.

  • i love this geelong brand. for the simple fact that you feel like you're supporting a struggling local manufacturing industry and its all made in china. they suckered me once.

    I bought these yesterday.

I recently moved house and was just looking for something on a tight budget and all the proper indoor shelves are so expensive. The edges of the boards are a little sharp but after a little DIY wrapping I think it looks rather cool and not too out of place in the room.

    • Nice one mate. Did u have to cut it in half lengthways?

      • Nope, its got tabs to join two halves to get the full height as well as screws for locking two separate halves together like I have or set up in 'L' shape, whichever you prefer. You will need a hammer to assemble it though.

    • Would you mind sharing the package dimensions? wondering if it fits in a SUV?

  • Just went down and had a look at them, just way too small for what I need.

  • Edit: oops, supposed to be in response to a question above.

Its flat packed and will happily fit in any backseat. The package is barely larger than the dimensions of its width and length.

    • Thanks mate.
