Min spend $1000 by 29 Feb. Apply by end of January 2016. 80k points is worth about $430 in gift cards.
From previous deals CommBank may be a bit sketchy in paying out bonus points.

if you get their pro package with a home loan all account fees are waived.
That or (and?) your first born. Not really that much if an issue. I'll take 3.
ANZ's current offer is better.
can you post the link please
cheers
CBA is a better bank x 1000
*vomit…excuse me
CBA is a better bank x 1000
Google says you just CBA with CBA (Cannot Be Angry with Certified Balloon Addict). They are just a brunch of clowns making jokes in the banking industry.
@nexus4: As long as you never have to do international transfers or deal with their currency rates etc then yeah they are good. I have everything with CBA, but some stuff the fees and rates they charge are damn right criminal.
Agreed, I have used all the major banks and my daily at the moment is ANZ and St George. If you want to vomit on something, that's it right there
Their (cba) android app alone is worth switching over!
whilst this has a $250 charge, it only requires a spend of $1000 once.
a lot easier to achieve.
Good deal if I didn't already have one from the 40,000 point deal. Would have jumped on this. Used the points to fly the wife CBR - Bris return and to fly us both CBR - Syd return as our connections to our flights to Singapore (saved about $1300).
This is not qff points
it is, on Diamond.
Yes. About 40k qff points.
Neh. 40k qff is 100k cba points. Got mine into the account last month.
Edit: my mate swapped 40k qff for 80k cba points, not sure why my statement says 100k
Already have a CBA credit card on a mortgage package. Be good if I could get this somehow lol. Ozbargainer instinct too strong.
same here! I called them last time when they were dishing out 40k points to new customers, but no luck. The only way to get this deal is that you have to be a new customer or have cancelled this card for more than 12 months.
Took me 3 visits to the bank and 5 months before i got the qff in my account.
Why's that?
Annoys me, just thinking about it.
they just won't give me the qff points. I could have called the hotline but I was lazy and made the bank people do it.
I signed up for commbank credit card 1.5yrs ago, first yr free. I still haven't been charged annual fee after 6 months. Is commonwealth usually slack at remembering to charge annual fees? Hopefully they forget with this offer
what type of card do you have? the low rate cards fee is waived if you have spent x amount in the previous 12 months. but not the awards cards.
platinum awards card
If you spend enough on the card and the bank adds an annual fee to your statement a polite call suggesting you might cancel the card is typically enough to have the fee credited.
Thanks for the post. I'll get this card fee free as I have a mortgage with them. Here I come 80k points!
anyone with a current cba card do you know if you can call up and ask to migrate their card to get this offer?
Please note this offer is not available to customers who currently hold or have held, a business (personal liability) and/or personal Awards, Gold Awards, Platinum Awards or Diamond Awards credit card in the last 12 months.
It's pretty typical of such promotions to exclude existing customers.
What I do like about CBA however is "as a valued customer" they've bumped me up to Platinum Awards with the same annual fee as the base level awards card ($59). I'm sure there's better offers out there, but I won't leave CBA for a number of reasons.
I've taken advantage of "bonus interest" savings accounts as they appear in OZB, but I'm happy when the promotional period ends and I return to CBA.
This kinda sux
I have one of these and have paid the annual fee every year for a while now……
Time for me to try for a fee waiver

This previous deal was far better. I don't know about the trouble other people had with CBA, not crediting points and chasing them around, but I and wife always go for these offers and in our experience CBA is the fastest in crediting points and reversing fees. As an example above deal - applied late Oct/ early Nov, fee charged and reversed in 2 weeks, spend criteria met and points credited in Dec statement, sweet
CBA customer 50 years, they say what they do and they do what they say, rock solid . :-) . !!
Anybody know what the income requirements are?
Yeah don't say that anymore. But give doe take the min credit limit x5 would be min income requirement. See ANZ's rewards cards — the black card has min credit limit of $15k and min income is $75k.
do cba have any with free flights per year?
finding it difficult to find what the conversion rate is from 'awards' points to QFF. the t&c refer to "For the current conversion rates refer to Partner Terms and
Conditions available on the CommBank Awards website or call the CommBank Awards Service Centre. "
and googling i can only find this:
https://www.commbank.com.au/content/dam/commbank/personal/ap…
when you sign up, do you get the choice of QFF then and there? or do u have to jump through hoops later on to get it added?
From memory you need to tell them to automatically convert to QFF. So the points will appear on your awards account and then be converted to QFF at the end of the month. There is a $10 fee for linking to QFF.
CBAs customer service is an absolute joke, to the point I cancelled a previous CC application.
I rang 3 times and went into the Branch twice in a 4 week period and still heard nothing about my application process. Upon ringing up the 4th time I was told my Payslips were unreadable despite uploading them about 3 times when asked previously. On top of having to wait in the branch about 30 minutes every time to be served.
Upon this I just withdrew the application.
So $249 for 40,000 qff points.. not worth it
It is you get the fee waived.
Has anyone reported of getting it waived?
Second comment says you get all fees waived with home loan pro package. I'm in the process of getting a loan with them so I'll report back.
I doubt many people will have the home loan pro package though… but if you are one of the few with it then this can be a decent deal
$249 annual fee
