Only 1 voucher will be awarded per registered Australian eBay account

    • The 7th condition states
"Only 1 voucher will be awarded per registered Australian eBay account (and if applicable per registered Australian PayPal account) during the Offer Period."
Means you get max one voucher

    • Yes, if you have more than one account

  • +5

Meh, not as good as the 20% off.

    • depends on how much you spend.. I bought a $250 SSD and received the $50 discount (which bought a rangehood). During the 20% off I bought a new cooker ($200 off and $100 cheaper than the cheapest price I could find elsewhere). Tip is to buy smart.

  • +1

ARGHHH!!! just bought something from Target ebay for $104 yesterday!!!!
    Now where's the refund button….

    • -2

Take it to store, or wait till the item arrived, it'll come with a return sticker, just stick it over the old label and take it to Auspost and you got your problem sorted.

  • We can purchase 2 $50 items in one transaction and that would still qualify right?
Or do we have to purchase 1 item over $100?

    • +1

yes, up to 10 items as long as they are in the same transaction

      • +4

What if these are from two different participating stores? Do you know if thatd work CrazyMex?

        • +3

term 2 refer to "at a Participating Store in one transaction" so by this i think it just refer to one particular store. However, in previous ebay deals it was possible to combine stores/items using discount codes. Cant really tell for sure… Hopefully someone else know and can enlighten us!? (who purchased something from previous deals involving a future voucher??? :D)

  • +3

This is better than the last deal. The last deal required you to use Click and Collect, which took the delivery time from what should have been 2 days tops, to 3 weeks+. Thanks Big W.

    • -1

Actually Big W only have 90mins from when the item is dropped off by the courier to having it ready to collect and sms sent out. So blame the seller or courier, not Big W.

      • i blame it to big w. their machines broken not sending me any sms/email, while auspost tracker showed it's been delivered to them. collected it few days later and still they have to process it manually

      • It was definitely not the seller. They posted immediately, and had they bypassed C&C, I would have got it a couple of days after sending it.

What happened was Big W's sorting facility either made some bungles or just isn't very well organized.

        • i had similar issues. Over a week from being marked as posted to getting the click and collect notification, same city

  • Hmm… Deal is so sweet but surprisingly hard to find something to buy…

  • Can someone make a link to search all of these stores in one hit?

    • +8

Sure, I made this just for you. :)
      http://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/get50

(just double-check and make sure the store really is part of the deal)

      • Oh my bad. Search box Doesn't show on mobile site - I have to "request desktop site" on my mobile

      • 'Half BACK Sale'. LOL i thought it read Half BAKE sale.

  • more christmas shopping for me

  • +6

These sales are overrated. Sellers jacking up the price to cash in on the hype and I doubt people will be using all of their voucher.

Miss the old Ozbargain days where there were real bargains and no hyped and fake bargains.

    • When we were young, we lived in a shoebox in the middle of the road!

    • There is still usually a few decent deals (admittedly, out of thousands!)

But the beautiful part is the $50 voucher is for any shop… the ugly part is giving Tricky Dicky, and the likes of, business. That part does feel dirty. lol

  • Hey guys is there any deal on asics or brooks as well please let me know thanks

    • is there any deal on asics or brooks as well please let me know thanks

Ebay have this thing called a… SEARCH ENGINE.

      Use it, and find items.

      • -4

oh really I didn't know that thanks for being smart arse
I just asked if anyone knows about it if you don't just go ahead :)

  • Thnx

  • Any deals on latest kindle paperwhite 300 ppi or kindle voyage ?

  • Chasing a good modem to replace my Telstra 797n. ADSL2+.

    • Same missed out on the d7

      • Me too pretty butt hurt. Prefer to buy the router from msy but price is too high.

    • +3

Yeah that'd make for a good weekend on whore island.

      • Dude. Not cool to say that about your mum's house :P

    • -1

      Bareback is the ozbargain way.

      • +4

        False.

        Kids are expensive.

Much more so than the DNA test I paid for after 3 years of paying child support for someone elses spawn.

        • +2

i hope you raised a chargeback with paypal for that shit

        • +1

seriously can you get a refund?

also, thanks for looking after my kid 👌 (lol, sorry couldn't resist)

        • @Son ofa Zombie:

Possibly / Probably but never looked into it

The time was better spent moving on with life.

  • I already redeemed one of these vouchers. Am I eligible for this new one?
    thanks :-)

    • you should be, its a new promotion!

  • these seem to be happening more and more often..

wonder if I'll find something this time

  • Anyone tried buying something from target then returning it to get the voucher?

    • -1

      Was thinking the same thing.

  • +5

I know its standard practice to jack up prices while these sales are on but this is extreme even for Dickie!

16 Eneloop AA for a bargain price of $109.96

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ENELOOP-AA-Tropical-8-Pack-x2-/25…
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ENELOOP-AAA-Chocolat-8pk-/2719619…

Personally, I'm hoping for a repeat of the cheap Sandisk SSD 240GB for $106 that FutuOnline had last time.

  • +4

    can confirm prices jacked

  • http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231506728529 Samsung EVO 850 250gb ssd $168 delivered @ PCCG, so $118 if you count the voucher as a $50 off next time, not bad.

    • +8

no, you CAN NOT count the $50 voucher as a discount on the initial item you buy, because you're NOT getting a discount on it at all. You get a discount on the second LOT of purchases you make, so don't think you're getting a discount on the initial purchase, otherwise you're likely to buy more shit in order to get it.

Also, I'll LOUDLY porclaim it here - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM KOGAN'S EBAY STORE DURING THIS PROMOTION - they inflate the prices!!!
IF you must buy something from Kogan, go to their web site, it'll be MUCH, MUCH CHEAPER.

      • If you need an SSD, and also will be spending $50+ during october on ebay, then yes, you can count the $50 voucher as a discount.. I say this because $168 for that ssd isn't too bad, so you get more value for the $50 voucher than you otherwise would.

And all of the stores inflate the prices, it would be ignorant to say otherwise..

        • +5

I'm sorry, but the ignorance is not mine. No, not ALL the stores inflate their prices for these promotions. Look back at the previous thread and you'll see which ebay stores indulge in shoddy practices.

A discount is something you get applied at the time of the initial purchase, this promotion is only giving you LIMITED TIME, STORE CREDIT (at a multitude of stores, admittedly). So if you don't have something specific for EACH purchase, then the VOUCHER for STORE CREDIT is not going to do you much good.

The last spend $100, $50 VOUCHER promotion I bought a $249 500GB SSD (which was a good price even if I'd gone to MSY or similar) and then I used the $50 discount to buy a new rangehood as I'm DIYing my kitchen.

The next ebay promotion had 20% discount and I purchased a new gas standalone cooker for $100 less (via their ebay store) than the cash only price I'd been quoted at the same retailer by an in store salesman.

My smart purchase for this current spend $100, get $50 VOUCHER promotion will be to spend slightly over $100 on two ceiling extraction fans. When I get the $50 VOUCHER I will use it to buy the third fan I need for my renovations for almost no charge. So these purchases are effectively giving me a 30% discount on items I NEED.

So yes, IF you're going to be buying an SSD (same SSD can be found for $145 at MSY, I don't expect delivery to be $23) AND something else next month. Then it's a good deal.

    "Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800) Excluded"

So you can't buy anything from Super Cheap Auto or Autobarn?

    • +5

SCA and Autobarn sells cars, bikes, and boats?

  • -8

Can u make a purchase then make a refund after getting the $50 voucher?

    • +1

No. They will refund you the amount minus the $50.

  • Need a 500GB SSD, would this be the best option?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360742997804?_trksid=p2055119.m14…

    • I have one of these. It's a good drive for the cost. Hard to pass it up unless you're going for PCIE SSD.

  • Another SSD perhaps to get just over $100 for another $50 voucher?

  • +5

Usually I buy a ssd or hard drive for around 100.- and sell it with no problems for dame amount on gumtree. Leaves me with the voucher for free.

  • Sigh, not sure what to buy.

  • +2

Hoping someone could identify bargains around $100-$150

  • What's with Auto Barn? It's not the offical Aussie Autobarn, it's an American one with no affiliation?

    • +3

and those bloody Germans with their Autobahn.. wtf?

    • Clearly a link error in the Terms & Conditions. In the Shop By Stores column to the left (in desktop view), the link reads "Auto Barn" (the US store), but goes to autobarn-au.

Also, comparing the 22 stores in the "Search the Sale" link against the 32 stores in the T&C, there are 7 included in the search that shouldn’t be. So only 15 of the 32 stores are currently searchable via eBay's link. (A couple of members have posted their own search links, but these don't quite match the T&C stores either.)

Should be fixed up fairly promptly by eBay one would think.

  • any asics or brooks deal guys?:)

    • +2

that's what the search button on ebay is for.. then you sort by price :)

      • I was just checking anyone knows about good deal but thanks anyways

        • +2

no worries.. the offer doesn't start until tomorrow.. who knows what price changes may happen between now and then.. some stores may drop prices, other stores like KOGAN increase their prices (dramatically). Best to search tomorrow when the offer begins.

  • +3

who are the 392 people who voted + on this deal? what are you actually going to use it for?

    • as I extensively posted - three ceiling extraction fans, giving me an effective 30% discount on items **** I NEED ****.

      • Pretty rare case there, but fair enough good for you

        • +1

just need to shop smart, not buy because of the perceived bargain

    • I reckon. Lots of stuff is overpriced and not the cheapest. It's really more like a 'save $10-$30' deal. And that's not counting if any of the stores jack up their prices before tomorrow morning eg. Kogan.

      • I usually find the products that are known to be low margin for the retailers (consoles, hard drives, mobiles, etc etc) get jacked up but most everything else stays the same. I usually find things I need from masters etc that I would likely be buying from the store anyway and this way I just get a $50 voucher toward something else.

    • involuntary action.

  • Would be good if i could stack my $50 Good Guys coupon from the dyson deal.

  • +2

Wow eBay is cheap. They exclude real estate even though they are making thousands in commission just to save 50$…

    • +1

They exclude real estate even though they are making thousands in commission just to save 50$

      LOL, no they aren't.

FYI: They don't charge commission on Real Estate - the listings are Classified Ads for $49.95 flat rate. You cannot "buy" a house via Ebay (as-in making payment via Ebay).

      • eheh still they are cheap to save 5c :)

  • I still have my $50 voucher from the previous eBay click and collect promotion, and don't know what else to buy, sigh.

    • +1

better use it soon, it has an expiry date

  • +1

Does anyone know if the $100 has to be spent at the one store? I want to spend $50 at Target and $50 at Bing Lee. If I add the items to my cart and check out in the one transaction will that count?

    • Add items to kart and as long as it is over $100 from those retailers then u can,

Dont quote me on it, read the small terms and conditions and find out yourself and make your own decision

      • +2

Thanks - ebay also confirmed it will work if you add items from different stores into your mario kart with a combined total over $100 and then pay in the one transaction.

  • +9

So many votes, so little bargains

  • anyone know is this any good? Real skeepskin fibre?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SCA-Sheepskin-Seat-Cover-Charcoal…

Buying two would solve my hunting for bargain

  • Has anyone got a nexus player and can give some insight into how useful it is (both for video/casual gaming)? I've read a bit about it but im on the fence and would like to hear some opinions

    • Ebay charge fees on sales. This is why there's a price discrepancy.

      • plus ebay one includes delivery

        • buying from Kogan website +$9 delivery is STILL CHEAPER Than buying on ebay store.
