Kogan should just bugger off, they jack up their prices so the deal means nothing with their store.

    Otherwise, great deal

    • +1

I got my Tab S2 from Kogan during the last ebay deal. It was cheaper than everywhere else.

  • Need a EVO Samsung 250GB SSD which store to get the deal?

Edit: charging $168 before voucher back :(
MSY have them for $145 mmmmmm

    • $165 @ Futu

  • +9

I perpetually have stuff in my Peters of Kensington website cart. I'm just a kitchenware addict. Their ebay store has exactly the same prices I'm pretty sure which was handy for their last 20% off ebay deal earlier this year.

It's a great deal if you were actually planning on buying stuff already….not so good if you get sucked into impulse buys.

On a unrelated note…how do Cash Rewards and the like actually "make" money/earn revenue to return 2.5% to the purchaser?

    • +1

The store gives them 2.7% as a thank you for referring you to them.

    • +2

Yeah I have POK stuff in my basket too - hoping they don't join the club of jacking their prices up for this!

      • My POK basket is now $101. How convenient. Shame you have to tack on shipping.

  • +2

get ready for kogan price hikes!

  • Any restrictions on using the voucher or is it no minimum spend, ebay wide (not just stores) ?

  • +5

Meh these eBay deals are good if you were planning to buy something already from one of the included stores. But all the impulse buy stuff (read electronics) are sold by the usual price jackers - Kogan, DSE. Good Guys, PC Case Gear are so overpriced not even the voucher makes them good value.

  • +2

The trick is to get (needed/ wanted) item that selling at discounted/normal price within $100-$110 range, to get the maximum % discount. And of course use cash rewards, and paying with credit cards to get points. Do I miss anything?

    • No, don't miss anything please ;)

  • +2

anyone got a search link to search all the stores please?

    • +10

      http://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/get50

The search bar on the page does what you want (the search bar next to "Search the Sales").

      • sweet!

      • +3

Noticed that the search included a few stores which wasn't listed in this deal's terms and conditions. e.g. Ted's camera, pushys…
Just make sure you check the retailer is in the list before making a purchase.

        • +3

          Wow, that's dodgy :S

    • +9

I'd built a search link for all participating stores

      Enjoy!

  • +7

What's the point of having Dick Smith on the list? Watch their prices mysteriously increase tonight.

    • +22

      Dick gets bigger at night.

      • +6

So there should be a large discount in about three minutes then?

        • Yes. But then you only have two minutes to use it. After that, the money will be shot.

  • +2

    Where's Ted's ?!

  • +23
    • thanks mate

  • what to buy? legit question. I see these deals, but never have anything in mind worth that much. End up all just giving it a miss.

    • +1

      what to buy?

How long is a piece of String…

      • +3

        x mm where x = any number

      • +1

Twice the distance from the centre to the end….

      • shorter than needed for the task at hand.

  • +2

I'm looking forward to all the bargains being posted as an offspring from this

    • and how we will have surge of deals that just finishes at 22nd?

Actually I am waiting for one too, I cannot find anything interesting, other than the 128GB mSD card which is at $102 from Futu.

  • 30% off on chromecasts then..?

  • -1

Hey guys, does anyone know if the previous $50 voucher can be used in the same transactions as this?

Sorry if this has already been asked - couldn't find a comment regarding it.

    • That $50 voucher also had a use-by date of September, so won't overlap during this promotion (as far as I'm aware).

  • +1

Anyone after a turn table, I can say the Audio Technical LP-60 is sweet as, Bing lee has it for $199. Anodised dark grey aluminium, USB ripping function, auto return etc, a nice entry level. Also the price of this model will be $249 in a few weeks.

    • wtf this isn't listed anymore…

      • Damn shame son, I'm cranking mine now with Frankie Goes to Hollywood

  • So West Aussies included this time…sweet :)

  • Was going to get some POP vinyl figures to give as gifts from Toys'R'Us

Shipping 5 different items was going to be $59.95 shipping.
Shipping 5 of the same item would be $17.99.

The hunt for something to only slightly waste money on continues!

    • Edit - mistake.

    • You got me confused. Link for the Pops please

      • Here's the link http://stores.ebay.com.au/toysrus-australia/_i.html?store=to….

They have a weird quirk in their shipping calculator that charges $11.99 per POP if you buy different figures, but have combined shipping if you buy multiple of the same item. I was doing a vague rant about it :)

        • Cheers. Looks like old stock though. Am still waiting for my pre-order from EB Games. Hope they don't damage the box because that's where the value is. Not a collector, but would like a few characters.

        • @downero:
Then dont order POPS from COTD, 2 times in a row, crap packaging, crushed boxes.

        • @OrbDaggerZ: You did get the Pops free tho?

        • @downero:
I got credit for 1, but they were for gifts/collectable, that was my main issue.

In total, I paid for 4, 2 for me (alien & Predator), the other 2 were gifts, only 1 arrived in proper condition.

I just wanted to advise people about the issue I had, not as a rant/whinge.

I'm not gonna neg the deal because it's a pretty awesome deal! however, please hear me out on my past terrible experience with ebay -

bought gopro 4 for 319.20 to get 50$ voucher (even for 320, it's an amazing price!). bought some soccer posts and other stuff with the 50$ voucher (in terms of proportions 41$ of the voucher went towards the posts). soccer posts were defective and the seller promptly and swiftly refunded the money. now paypal refunded 41$ towards the ebay voucher and 9$ to my paypal account. when i contacted ebay about the situation and requested to issue me a replacement voucher, the two customer service operators, especially the second one gave me incredible attitude. they said it's a one-time voucher. the first one said (s)he'll refer it to marketing and i never heard back. second one said (s)he doesn't know what happened on the follow up and when i was a bit assertive, replied, "oh yeah, wait, i can see it was not approved" (yeah right!). later (s)he claimed that "vouchers are priviliege" and kept insisting on it despite me trying to communicate that it was an effective discount for spending 300. of course, i ended up losing 41$ which were rightfully mine (to spend) for no fault of my own.

    ok, i'll shut up now.

    • that's terrible!

    • +1

      Ouch.. that sucks.
You should get in your bluephonebox and travel back in time and buy the soccer posts elsewhere :)

    • +1

As much as I hate to say it, because the $50 voucher has a short expiry date, you can't really treat it as any more than a discount voucher. It's certainly not a cashback, otherwise it would be funds that you could use at any time. I think you might be out of luck with this one.

I still get angry thinking about Gift Cards, which also have an expiry date, which is like taking money from someone and saying that if they don't ask for it back within a set period of time, it is no longer theirs. It sucks the way businesses are bigger than us and tell us the way things are with our own money. My rant over too! :)

    • +8

…. Dollar sign before the number please. okay bye.

    • +1

Same thing happened to me, seller refunded me because he sent the item to the wrong address. Both companies continued to blame the other now that they are separated. In the end I got $50 from both and they never realized

Customer service is incredibly bad from both companies , make sure your seller doesn't refund your money for some unknown reason.

    • +10

hear my story… gave the $50 voucher to my Mrs as a gift… She got a $2 iPhone case and "saved" the rest for next purchase !

      • ouch - right, you win … :(

      • +2

        She must be very pretty

    • I think you should fight back and get your $50. I Had a similar issue and got a second voucher from eBay.

  • +4

Your $50 eBay voucher will be issued on 1 October 2015, and must be redeemed before 23:59pm (AEST) on 31 October 2015, after which time the voucher expires.

Don't forget that one boys & girls.

  • +2

buy Forza 6 and another 35 bucks games from target with free delivery. then sell both games together on gumtree for 80 bucks. use $50 voucher + $30 cash to buy another Forza 6 for myself. totally $65 spent for Forza 6 game.

  • When I qualified for the $50 voucher from the "hump month" promotion, I had to hassle eBay 6 separate times before they finally issued the voucher with about 5 days left to spend it. This deal sounds good, but I'm also conscious there may be a bit more work involved to get the voucher if it doesn't automatically go through.

  • +16

Double check the results but I think i've got a link that has filtered down to all items eligible between $100-110

Items priced $100-110 that are eligible for promotion

    • +5

      I didn't know I needed a New-Isla-By-Talulah-Womens-Le-Fleur-Womens-Playsuit until now….

      • +1

I didn't know i needed the chick inside it till now…

        • +2

You know, after scrolling through all this stuff, makes me think there is so much junk for $100

    • I couldn't really find anything on the list that I would like. Maybe some 1TB hard drives. Or I could just buy the Kogan Note Counter here to count all the notes I'd be saving by not buying anything through this deal, lol.

  • +13

Woohoo PC Case gear is on the list! Guess who is getting pressies. You are my darling PC.

    • +1

      Also these guys my sweet.

      • thankyou :)

        • +2

Trying to look for PC components that I am after too.

My issue is the things I am after are still $30-$40 more expensive than going to MSY.

So the voucher in the end is only worth $10…

        • @Themojorising: The cpu cooler I wanted was $30 more than mwave, so I bought blinds from Masters instead.

    • check ebay and the prices on their site.

  • BIGW got eBay store? Cannot find it.

  • Oh damn, I literally just purchased a Vitablast Blender from Kogan yesterday. It was dispatched 20 minutes ago…

  • +10

Kogan's price jacking up has already began…
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/351480795737?_trksid=p2060353.m14…

Was $149.51 with free delivery approx 2 weeks ago
Went to $184.19 with free delivery last week
Now $202.24 as of 2 days ago

So really your out of pocket $3 odd after getting a $50 voucher compared to 2 weeks ago.

The same item is $139 + delivery on their own site.

I like who they jacked up the price before this deal even got posted, I guess someone in their finance team negotiated the $50 voucher with eBay but then decided they will quickly jack some pricing up before we go searching

  • +2

What I NEED to buy doesn't appear to be on sale. Would rather throw that $100 into my latest business venture.

    • +2

Sold! Great post. Allocation of funds has been sent to the correct destination.

      • +1

I just bought what I NEED last night for $115 posted. If done right I stand to make alot of money from this :)

Although I would of snatched an LG Leon (only just realised I needed it) or any decent mobile phone but none appear to be included :(

  • It is good deal if you want some $100ish lego set fron target ebay

    • Yeah trying to find one for that, been looking at the Star wars Lego recently and thinking the Tie Fighter is a good buy but its $99 :(

  • -2

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Logitech-Computer-Speakers-Z6…

BARGAIN at $87 pick-up (if it's the same price tomorrow)

    • +1

      They are $137

      • -4

        Take off the coupon…

        • +7

Yeah but you get a $50 voucher after you buy, I don't see it as taking off the price, I see it as spending $50 or more on eBay items that you may not need in a month. Hard enough finding anything good in this sale yet alone having to look again next month to spend a voucher

        • It's more like $137 cash for the speakers and a $50 ebay voucher.

        • @PlayerOne: I agree

        • @PlayerOne: then price beat wireless1 for more discount after you've purchased.

    • Actually… just checked… not quite… been slightly more expensive without a special deal, been below $100 a few times recently. Still a good deal but I won't bite this time, I need the cash. Though if they had a good mobile…

  • +1

How many times can you do this? E.g. If I do 3 different transactions above $100 at the participating stores during the offer period will I get 3 vouchers?
