This deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/206258, TY montymelb, is only part of a 1 week summer sale at Gearbest - many items are only on sale for a short while so the bargains will be constantly changing. The Ainol miniPC is staying at US97.87 tho, but still a good price. Free Shipping.

It is - has been up a few times, and all the reviewers seem to love it, but getting a bit long in the tooth. When it first came out, it was running the Z3735D chip, and had USB3, but then it was upgrade to the "F" version which doesn't support that. I had my finger on the trigger back when the change was noted…
It's a fair bit cheaper here than Geekbuying or other sites, so no use waiting for Clear to work his magic with this one :-/
I'm sussing out if we have a place to post the current Paypal exchange - ATM [e-mail from purchase on Gearbest 5 mins ago] 1 AUD = 0.702449 USD.Yeah, that "upgrade" was so frustrating as it occurred without any notice from Ainol - They just switched it. That said, it's a good price. I thought it was impressive when I reviewed it, though I do have the Z3735D version.
Almost tempted to say challenge accepted…
Who the ???? neggged that… _ Oh, the owner maybe lol…
@terrys: Lol maybe. I'm not going to try and beat this either, so they can relax. Besides I spent a fair bit of money with them recently ;)

huh? Price on gearbest is A$128, which is 0.76 AU/US . Just pay in AUD by credit/debit card. No need for 28deg.

probably due to a big price change by Intel, pushing budget buyers onto the more crippled chip.
My suspicions as well [ pushing other chip] :-/. I used Paypal on a smaller value purchase so [Ozbargain heresy alert] the ~$2 difference was worth it for the minuscule increase in piece of mind regarding database fubars. I though the Gearbest calculation was an estimate, with the rate finalised and dependent on your card/bank, whereas Paypal gives you a firm price paid over within minutes.
Looking back, yep, I should have been clearer that it was Paypal current [as of this morning] rate - I was on three pages and trying to finalise choices before the deal on the Rosmoss 2000 mAh battery ran out of time:-)I though the Gearbest calculation was an estimate,
No, the credit card transaction is done in AUD, and they do not update the exchange date regularly.
Beware though that some banks will charge a "foreign transaction" fee even if it is in AUD.At the moment, looking at the rates, you could save a bit more by paying in RMB on 28degrees.
So paypal gives you no choice?
@manic: I just have one card on there, so not that I have noticed. Good advice for gearbest :-) TY for that.
bought one of these awhile back on ebay
quite happy for it considering the price. not super fast but does boot up in about 20 seconds and the basics of video and web browsing was fine.
makes a great second PC or something for the kids to use.
Does anyone know if this can be upgraded to windows 10 ?
One reviewer [out of 3] for this one here:
http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box/pp_180548.html
which is a dual boot, is reporting that they have Windows 10 installed - and I suspect most of these boxen are variations on the same board.
Interesting product - sold as mini pc with Windows 8.1 and powerbank with 7000mAh battery.
