I can recommend this app if you're in a pickle or need a cab in the city.

Their facebook doesn't tell a good story of the service and also issues with trying to redeem the credit. And the good posts… well… some of them look scripted.

They do look scripted… But I catch multiple taxis a week and GoCatch works just fine for me.
In Canberra, where we don't have Uber, its the best way I've found to catch taxis around the place. I've paid both within the app and direct to the driver and the only issue I've had is a lazy driver abandoning my job before he got to me once… But that has happened with the Canberra Elite service as well (multiple times) - The drivers are usually the same anyway and just accept the job from either service.
