    Why?

I can pay half and get an Uber.

That's a preference issue. The people who prefer to ride a cab will get $20 off with this. No need to neg the deal.

Btw, I love Uber, but I understand there is people that don't.

Does that mean I can post a $25 voucher for Uber then?

        • Please use the site's search tool. There are plenty.

And if by $25 voucher you mean your referral code, there is a wiki for that.

So yes, feel more than welcome to do it.

Im amazed ozbargain lets you post illegal Uber codes? Go Catch is legal, Uber isnt. Good deal

It is not unlawful for passengers to use Uber services. Even uberX, which is unlawful for the drivers in most (all?) states.

Therefore, publishing/promoting the codes is not unlawful, and providing the platform for obtaining the uberX service is not unlawful.

Renting out one's home, ones apartment, or a room, for less than 30days is unlawful in many locations worldwide (New York, Barcelona, parts of California, etc.). However, AirBNB acting as a platform for advertising these accommodations is not unlawful. It is the Hosts who can be prosecuted/fined if caught. Same with Uber and their uberX drivers.

However, not being an accomplice to a driver that 'may' not have the correct driving licence and/or vehicle registration.

For example: If one was a passenger in a vehicle with an um-licenced driver that looked old enough to have a licence. One could plead that they had no way of knowing the driver was unlicensed.
