Price is USD or AUD?
8 gb storage is a killer these days…. and nope ..android 4.4 (kitkat) onward not permit app to sd card.
SD Card support is coming back with the upcoming version of Android (M) http://www.sammobile.com/2015/05/30/android-m-is-bringing-ex…
Only 8gb ram but rest of the specs are pretty good considering the price point.
had led notification, backlit capacitive buttons, removable battery and 13mp camera. Im strongly considering buying it even if its only a quad core (my octo core thl is fast but its only 3g). No idea if or whether this will get lollipop at all?8gb of ram? lol
Think he meant rom
Sorry i did mean ROM :D
@smurfinaus: It's not ROM either. ROM stands for Read Only Memory. If you can install stuff on that 8GB it's not read only.
@lostn: I mentioned this in another thread and was downvoted, unsure why every website pushes ROM as phone storage description
Delivery : 60 days (ships out within 7 days)
That will be….uhm…. 67 days…. Xiaomi already release 5g by then ….lol ….
The estimated delivery is 60 days, but actually 30 days.
You do realise 30 days is still a long ass time right? Put yourself in the buyer's shoes. Do you want to pay for something and having to wait 30 days to get it?
@bbyboy:
Organise freight yourself if you must have your toys now.
I got a jacket from the UK in 4 days but it cost $30 in freight.Do you know the definition of "estimated" and "actual"??
We don't know the actual delivery time until after fact, that is after we received the phone. But if estimate it to be at 30 days, which is what you're implying here, then the estimated delivery is 30 days. So why even bother mentioning 60 days?
Nope, that's not what they are selling. This is the correct link (i.e. newer version of phone).
http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_2-6992.phpSo why did you link to a phone with Miui 6.0 when it says on JD.com that it has Miui 5.0? Also, why would they be selling a phone that hasn't even released yet at such a cheap price? Why no mention of Note 2 when it's a phone plenty of people are waiting for?
Because there are only 3 editions for this phone:
First release was 3G dual-sim (1.4/1.7 Ghz)
Second release was 4G single-sim (1.6 Ghz) - which is what YOU claim they are selling.Newest release is 4G dual-sim (1.2 Ghz)
And considering their claim of the phone being 4G, dual-sim and 1.2 Ghz, which do you think it is?
Similarly, why do you link to a single-sim phone when JD.com claims its dual sim?
Also, the phone HAS BEEN RELEASED! Check your facts before commenting and down-voting. Plus, Xiaomi doesn't discount phones, which means the price today is the same as the price in 6 months time.
I personally wouldn't get one (I prefer the A53) but it's still a BRILLIANT phone! Great price as well!
Paypal says $134.92 AUD
Want to buy, but 60 days! What the actually shipping usually like from anyone with experience?
Have you run out? The "Add to Cart" button is greyed out for me.
The shopping cart works on my side. Could you please try it again? Thanks.
Good now :)
Is 1GB ram limited these days? Will the phone get laggy after a while with only 1GB ram?
Do any of these chinese manufacturers make a small android phone?
I have a galaxy s3 lte for my work sim but it has reliability issues. Don't want to spend too much, needs to be small / android / ideally lte. Doesn't need much power since I mostly use my personal phone.
go for this one. i have been using it for 7 months, excellent phone.
But it's not really small at 5.5" is it?
I was after a big screen phone as I use it a lot for reading and typing emails on the go. I was thinking to buy Galaxy Note 3. which was $799 then. Spent $230 on this phone & have never looked back. Can recommend this brand & will buy Xiaomi again.
Is the spec for this device Next G compatible? Isnt it supposed to include 850mhz?
Are the specs for this right? I have the snapdragon 400 Quad 1.6ghz version with 2GB… I know there's the MTK Octa core Chipset and there's also a 3G version…
I can't find any other reference to a 1.2ghz 1GB model even on Xiaomi website or the MIUI forums…
http://en.miui.com/gid-23.html
My version is a great phone, fast with reasonable battery life given the spec (well my specs!) I run the developer rom and MIUI 6 and it's reliable and stable.
Good camera and lovely screen. There's a thread over at Whirlpool.
I had a few issues with mine, but it's all been sorted. Battery calibration issues and wifi tether didn't work (fixed with SQL editor)..
4G is fast and works well on Telstra.. The 8GB rom is a non issue for me with the addition of a memory card… I've got around 45 - 50 apps installed now with plenty room… Root access is easy too.
There's a Lollipop rom floating around, but not ready for prime time yet (nothing official from Xiaomi).. Camera doesn't work, there's some snippets of this info at XDA and MIUI forums.
Accessories available on eBay for little change (tempered glass screen protector is cheap along with a snap on hard case)..
Build quality on mine is excellent, recently acquired a Lenovo K3 and in comparison the Xiaomi is a little better, things like the rear back case quality and fit and finish, but there's not much in it. The packaging on the Xiaomi was better than the K3, if I had to choose which one… I'd go the Xiaomi.. The backlit keys on the Xiaomi are a win.
I know the K3 specs are better, but there's not much in it when using either.
I'm really keen on this phone for the price (currently got an old S3-9305T) but things aren't right with it. Like you've said some of the specifications don't match up.
i.e. Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 is actually a 1.4Ghz processor. GSMArena lists the 1.6Ghz version with 2GB ram.
Is this really old stock or a new cheap variant I don't know.
I'm going to wait until tomorrow to see other comments.
Have you tried a new battery with your i9305t? That sorted out my old phone (+ factory reset and custom ROM) when I still had it.
This is the 3rd version of the phone.
http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_2-6992.php
Good price but I wouldn't buy anything less than 2GB Ram.
It says Dual SIM Card. Just wondering whether the 2nd SIM card support 3G/4G too? coz most of the mobile on the market that have Dual sim card capability only support 2G on the 2nd SIM Card.
how much space for apps??
NASA will look into it for you.
How's the bands on this phone? Does it work on all networks here?
Other sites sell this for around $147 (single sim)/$170 (dual sim) USD. Whereas the 2gb/16gb is $186USD ish. So i guess in terms of price. Cheap. As to whether you can live with 1gb ram???
"P.S. Above all display pictures, taken in different display next effect may be different, specific please in kind prevail!"
Hwat
Which version of iOS does this iPhone support?
Looks like lower band 4G once again is, out of luck. As is min 2GB, and last year's Android51 ;/ Somewhat mediocre.
_
OTOH possibly by android m, Redmi Note will arrive at that baseline:
Dual data 850/700 MHz ¾*G access, only a ways to go yet.A little confused by this.. any ideas what it means?
"For the firmware: If we got firmware, we will root the model with the firmware and shelter the update function,so that the model can enjoy multi-language and Google Playstore(PS,translation cannot be 100% accurate)."
Also.. seems like this one is just as good? Thoughts? :D
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/199024So is there any clarification as to which one this is actually for?.
au $ or us $?
