      Known for monitors, not phones…

      • +5

        Both have screens.

My monitor bought 15 years ago is still working.

Hope the phones are same quality.

        • I now know a guy called Gary who is an idiot. Therefore all Gary's are idiots? I think not.

        • @jv: Were they made by Viewsonic?

        • @shmahoo: How can you now a guy?

          Does he make screens/monitors?

@varunsic: Repeat your question to your self and you may get the answer:)

Wouldn't phones have more things to it other than screens? As in, internals?

I know two Gary's who are idiots. Maybe you are on to something here!

@slipperypete: Hey me too, there's something to this Gary theory.

Seems to be a fair review, no magic there

  • Make sure you do your research. The specs aren't all they are cracked up to be.

        my bad

  • interesting, if this thing use an old chipset, but it was last used on 300 dollar devices like the Lumia 830!!
there would be more fun ROM to play with if the thing had an MTK chipset but heck it seem to have excellent specs for entry level pricing that beats 2013 flagships!

i wonder why need another phone…. really when i just got the twice expensive K3 Note special edition.
so i will PASS this time around, there is always a better deal when GFC mark 2 arrive

  • The battery might be a bit small

  • +7

Had a really bad experience with Pandawill. Real dodgy stuff. Sent me a faulty phone, I sent it back and they wouldn't refund bc they said I opened the phone and voided the warranty. Luck for Psypal I got my money back but never try those b@st@rd ever again.

    • Thanks for the warning.

  • This or elephone P8000

    • +1

If you is serious and that's all you want to choose from, the Elephone, NO competition! (That 'street grammar' was on purpose by the way)

      • +1

That's if I can get the $40 code to work

    • P7000.
      P8000 is lacking 850Mhz.

      • -1

P8000 definately has 850mhz, according to all the spec sites

        • +1

No it doesn't, where do you see that it has 850?

        • +1

I think something got lost in translation, if we are talking 2G 850mhz then yes, 3G, then no.

        • Yes I'm talking about 3G, as 2G is so past tense. And 2G in Australia is 900mhz, not 850.

  • +2

    1080p + Snapdragon 410 :\ not the greatest combo

    • +1

Nah, it's a Snapdragon 400 actually which even struggles to power a 720p Moto G after the lollipop update. Good luck with the FHD screen. Whoever wants to get a chinandroid should spend a bit more for the Lenovo K3 note or Meizu m2 note if you can source one.

      • +1

Oh woops didn't read that properly thought it said Adreno 306. Wow yeah that's even worse. Snapdragon 400 imo belongs in max 960x540 resolution phones and S615 belongs in 720p phones.

  • full HD is interesting especially for people playing games etc but I wish theses Chinese phones would use better chipsets so there is more 4G coverage. seems a pity such a nice and screen and such a poor chipset

  • +2

Come on guys, its a $100 phone and you expect everything.

  • 5'5 FHD 2500mah the real question is, is the battery capacity genuine?. price seems good. Prefer octo over quad but hey $99 USD phone. never heard of Viewsonic mobiles before - so it is a crapshoot. Is the 13MP genuine 13MP or really an 8MP ?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbtZ1Wq8QII

balanced detailed review of the phone (the guy does good reviews for other ones he gets as well).

  • Other than screen size, is the specs comparable to a Samsung s4 ? Or some other phones?
