  • Good deal, but pity about the processor

  • $#!T. Had me worried there for a minute. We just bought a HP250 15" for work. But ours is much better spec'd!
Good price for a basic one though!

  • sold out

  • OZBARGAINED!!!

  • I sent a picture to my brother with 30 left, he couldn't even respond before it sold out!

Dont worry, would have just given him the sh!ts
      - its too slow to do much.

      • haha those specs are so outdated, the screen is probably worth more. I don't know why they bother making a 15.6" display with that awful resolution, its so pixelated and the viewing angles are terrible.

  • ebay had 300 unit. sold out fast

Bought one of these from OO last month. It actually runs ok. The screen is fine for the price.

    Things to consider.

    1. Can be upgraded to 4GB (single slot) BUT it's a PITA to get to it. I downloaded the service manual and had to literally strip it down to bare bones to get to the RAM.

    2. Keyboard - It's the one with a number pad which can be extremely annoying to get used to. Although it's pretty common for 15 inch laptops

    3. WIFI - It's extremely flaky at best. After a while it may stop working (connects but no internet access). Seems to be common with this model. I just got a $5 USB wifi from ebay which is working much better.(And it's not just an Win8.1 issue as some forums seem to indicate. I installed Win7 and still the same issue)

Im having same issue on WiFi, WiFi not working after 1 week, and tried to update drivers and BIOS, still no good,WiFi not turn on by press F12, and light stays orange

Yeah look on the internet the Ralink 3290 (or whatever it's called) seems to have all sorts of issues. Strangely not working at all is a GOOD thing and less ambiguous than working, connecting to router but not being able to access the internet which is the most common issue.
I experimented with all sorts of drivers and occasionally managed to connect for a short period of time. At the end I gave up and went down the USB dongle route.

Mine started playing up exactly after a week too. I didn't even do any updates.

        • Yeah, pretty weird, did you call for HP support?

      • Is there a hardware switch to turn wireless on/off?

  • Wish I had seen this earlier would have bought it just for linux / media setup. :/
