Should have been free if it scans higher. Target have them as well for $9.00 from today.
There was no shelf price, so the scanning code of practice won't apply.

Has been listed on Coles mobile phones site at this price for over a month now. Have been keeping an eye on this deal.
Bought 10 4.5months back back for the data. Modem is unlocked. Stores in Brisbane restocked before the end of that 1 week sale.
Stores will usually say only 1 per customer, but were happy to sell up to 4 at a time, or repeatedly sell individual items. Other stores were limited to 1, similar to mobile phone sales. Only 1 store made me fill out the paperwork & produce ID.

There's no expiry date on it, just a manufacture date.
There is no phone number attached to the sim, so there's no real reason for it to expire. The number is selected online during activation.
Thanks for info eug, I recently got a Telstra pre-paid starter pack and expiry on that was 12/June/2015 so has to be registered fairly quickly. I thought maybe Vodafone had the same setup, but if there is no expiry date on the sim I might pick one up for a spare.
In Hornsby Coles they have this advertised on the little red cardboard near the entrance for $9 and the wifi 3G for $19.50 and it also says the offer expires on 06/01/2015

kmart is also selling this at the same price. along with the 3g mobile wifi for $19.50
Kmart is a much further drive for most people so that kills the deal from them

Has anyone tried putting this SIM into a 4G vodafone device?
I've checked whirlpool seems like its possible. Also some people usually get a sim swap to access 4G if not.
If anyone can confirm that'll be great.
I've used the sim from the voda $19 pocket wifi deal and it works fine in a 4G device. This sim should be the same.
Used these SIMs in 4G phone, as data modem (not used for calls), & unlocked Telstra 4G modem. Works fast & fine.
I use these vodafone sims on my iPad and am getting 4G. great cheap way to get 3GB of data for my tablet.
Price is back to $19 now
These are now on sale in Target for the same cost as above.

I picked some up today. Just be aware, it scans at $19. The lady said it's an old promo, the website must be out of date. She marked it down to $9 for me anyway.
