This is one big black ugly looking charging station but its super cheap. I just bought one from DSE for $5, they retail for $44.99 on the manufacturers website (http://www.idaptweb.com/collections/universal-charger/produc…).

It comes with the following connections: - 1x iPhone 5, 1x iPhone 4, 2x microUSB, 1x miniUSB. It chargers four devices at once and you can swap the charging tips. From the manufacturer's website:

EDIT: If you feel like destroying the planet or buying these out of stock you could buy a second station just for the three tips on top. Ie I just bought a second iPhone 5 tip for $5 but I could have (or should have) bought a second station for the interchangeable tips but i thought what a waste. But the option is there. Hope that makes sense

      Yeah i have no idea. My Belkin iPhone 5 dock doesn't work with cases that have a base on them. I haven't used this thing but everyone at works comes begging for my iPhone 5 cable so they can use this thing now.

      Not very good, i have one and the phones themselves for example samsung S3 & S4 wobble around on it. But for $5 its totally worth it.

        After looking into it a bit more…
        I have a feeling this particular model (the i4) from DSE doesn't actually include the lightning tip?! seems that tip was included with the i4+ model - as linked by OP :(
        Happy to be proven wrong though.

    I've seen this one before on a review site.

    The iPad used in our test example, can be only with great caution plug it in, and then wags dangerous back and forth.

    Only use the USB port. It has 2A, which should be enough.

    Pro OZBargainer tip, if you need extra charging tips (no pun intended), better to get 2 units of the chargers as they come with 5 interchangeable tips each, rather than buying a single tip for the same price of the whole charger. :)

    Looks great, but only for previous generation Android phones. The tips are only 1A output. To charge a current gen Android handset/tab at 2.1A you need to plug into the single USB port.

      Are you sure the tips only output 1A?
      The unit itself should output 5A shared across all connected devices.

        100% sure, it's on the reviews somewhere.

        2A from the USB port ==> 10 watts.
        3 1A tips from the normal tips => 15 watts.

        Total 25 watts.

    It appears that the phone docks into the micro usb, but does not have anything to lean against, so all weight is transferred on the USB port of the phone… that is one Quick way to break your only means of charging a phone. Too much risk of damage. No wonder these are $5 as they have a design flaw.

        one review reads "the product turned out to be poorly manufactured… the charging jack on my Nexus became faulty and now I am unable to charge it with my original charger. The Nexus had been problem-free since I bought it in February, but one month's use on this dock apparently messed up the jack"

        Putting the weight of the device on a soldered jack is just plain stupid, It acts like a giant lever and says "please bump me so I can immediately break"

          I have been using a Philips AS351 for a year, no problems at all. It's a little precarious but after a while you realise it's ok. Having said that it should definitely be out of reach of children or idiots :-)

          I figure this works on a similar principle

      Don't worry my hopes are as low as the temperature here in Melbourne right now.
      Worst case is I'll get my $10 back and no two charging units.

      When I made my purchase on ebay it said 0 purchases, 9 minutes later it says 173 sold. I guess we have a gauge on the power of ozbargain now.

    There is no need to buy two of the big ones for the extra tips. (I'm thinking the smaller ones 2-3 devices will come with extra tips too, but could not find the information) You also get the option for something light to travel with

    And for those who missed out, the 2-3 device chargers are still available at $5 free delivery.
