Just what I needed! Merry xmas.
Excellent last minute stocking stuffer.
Love this stuff
I can report that it is $1.50 at Coles Rose Bay North.
Please don't eat this, it is not food. Use it when you don't have any polly filler available.
it's real potato. mashed. then frozen. same as vegetables.
you reheat it, it is exactly like real mash potato. it's not the fake powder stuff.
anyone that doesn't use this is retarded, it's awesome.
mix in cheese when you microwave it
You'd be surprised, the 'fake powder stuff' is actually pretty legit.
If, you're interested, and bored out of your brains, this shows the process.
Holy crap. I watched the entire episode. I've just found my new favourite show.
I use real potatoes and real sweet potatoes, therefore I must be retarded.
I don't get it.

Yuck! The thought of frozen mash potato is extremely nauseating.
(ten words given).
Thats why you cook it.
Hmm I wonder if I could use this as fake snow? Winter wonderland here I come.
Walking a back street in Marrickville I saw that someone had sprinkled the white beanbag beans over a few nature strips as fake snow.
Looked good but would be a pain to clean up(unless you vaccuum)
cheaper than mortar
Keeps ya regular…
This will go great with my Red Rooster Crispy Strip.
FYI saw this on yesterday at Westfield Southland, VIC store
I raced down to coles to get some, but the local coles has been raided already. Damn!
A saving of $1… seriously WTF!!?? Go into any Coles store on any day of the week and every single aisle will have one item or another that is $1 or more off. If every body started posting every single item that was on special in Coles then Ozbargain would be overloaded with crap. Please stick to only posting real bargains.
It is a saving of 66.67%.
To be fair, the $1 saved doesn't know where it came from, and how much of saving it was. $1 saving is the same if it comes from $1.50 or $1,500,000; the same amount was saved in both. Dan Gilbert has a great presentation about this on TED talks.
To get $1 saving from $1,500,000 you need to spend $1,499,999. To get $1 saving from $1.50 you just need to spend $0.50.
The $1 saved might not know but I do know.
Ironically almost all of the time I use percentages when it comes to saving money. Works for me. Only after I've worked out percentage save then I concern myself with dollar savings.
My weekly expenses are down to about $60.
It's more to do with the effort you exert to save the money. Would you drive across town to save $100 on a car stereo (say, $100 down from $200)? Would you do the same to save $100 on a luxury car (say, $99,900 from $100,000)? The saving is the same, and the effort is the same. I recommend this video: http://www.ted.com/talks/dan_gilbert_researches_happiness.ht…
It depends on the item, I will HAPPILY admit I do this especially in regards to ATM fees as well :)
Doesn't matter if I'm withdrawing $20 or $200
Original price $2.80, ergo saving $2.30
Depends on the product's origin as to whether it's a bargain for me.
Actually it was $4.45 as you can (barely) see in the picture.
Next time you knock a deal, have a quick look if other people are praising it.
This beats DEB anyday.
Almost anything beats Deb though.
None left at Coles Prahran. Picked up a few bags at Coles Malvern though so there's still some left just gotta call around!
If your'e after a graveyard smash,
add this:

and you will get this:
Wrong season but laughed still so have a +
I can re-enact that scene in Close Encounters for a fraction of the price!
Just need to find some bangers to go with the mash
I might be wrong but I suspect that this stuff might be made in China. If so, I personally wouldn't eat it. Someone who has bought it might like to check.
It's made in Belgium oddly enough.
It's good quality though, I used to get them when they were full price, tastes better than having it fresh.
Wow, interesting. I was pretty cynical about this — as I am with all frozen convenience foods — but if this is made in Belgium then it might actually be worth a try at this price. Dutch and Belgian potatoes — particularly of the Bintje variety — are pretty tasty. :)
o.O thats my Birthday!!!!!
ok ok its the anniversary of my birthday!
Before someone corrects me!
Does anyone really eat this crap? You're worth more people!
Not sure about the health side of things on this but it tastes really, really good! Tried to buy a pack when it was on special for $1, I think it's normally like $4?
Anyway, didn't scan properly, Coles staff member took the special sign off, and gave me two for $1 combined.
Xmas dinner sorted. thanks sage!
