  This is actually a pretty decent price, much to my surprise.

  Here's a popular camera on low price HK shipper tinydeal with similar specs but without the inbuilt 32GB for ~$70 AUD, for example.

  I mean, it's a toy camera compared to what's available, but for basic home/family stuff it'd be fine.

  EDIT Oh wait, in built 32MB not GB. Ouch. But it does come with a 4GB card.

  This is an awesome cam so if you don't already have it, grab one today.

  it is only 5mp and only has digital zoom. use the camera is your phone.

  This is a toy, and an overpriced one, since
  you'll do better from the camera in a $49 pre-paid phone.

  Note the lens is fake. A tiny real lens behind the big visible one.

    I'd be interested in the prepaid phone with a similar quality camera. The $49 Samsung E3210 at Officeworks looks quite inferior. Suggestions?

    EDIT The Nokia Asha 300, also $49 from Officerwork, is better and the reviews don't say it constantly fails like the Samsung E3210, but still maxes out at 480p (VGA, 640 x 480).

        Have a look at my history. What do you think?

        I'm genuinely interested in a cheap video camera. If I can get it out of a phone, I want to know about that.

      The VGA from the Asha might be just as good as the "HD" from the Pedo.
      VGA on an old point-and-shoot camera with optical zoom (Sony, Canon, Lumix etc) would definitely be better.
      A nice new one might be $99, but if thats too much, just ask friends/family for an old one they no longer use. Or ebay. Or wait for a clearance item on ozb.
