  • Thanks for posting. Just some extra info: Freight is $5 but you can also choose to Pick Up in Store (if they have it in stock).

I wish more stores had the pick up option.

  • 284, get in quick.

Aaah the technology….where will it end…

    • I know right? Who has 10 numbers anyway? My max is 4.

  • Just picked one up from Elizabeth.

You should explain what these are, for our younger readers.
They use a pair of copper wires to connect to the exchange, possibly many km away. Fear not, you may already have this if you have the common old-style ADSL for your internet.

But this phone sends actual audio-frequency, analog, unmodulated sound on that long cable.
I kid you not! Kilometres of copper laid underground at great expense, and it carries just ONE poor-quality voice connection. But at least it is full-duplex. And get this: even though that same copper carries your streamed HD video, this analog voice signal is sampled at a whopping 8000 samples/second. Anything over 3kHz is lost.
And in Grandpas day, they were grateful for this.

    • have you nothing better to do on your day of from primary school?

    • Wow. This is really pointless.
