It seems NAB has a $50 cash back offer on its low fee cards:

Its an online only offer for a limited time only. Not sure when it ends though.

It's a $20 benefit. So not really worth it unless you are okay with someone querying your credit-file and incrementing the number of requests for credit. It's not good to have too many people requesting your credit file within a 12 month period. Doesn't look good if you're after a serious loan (e.g. for a house).
Annual fee: $30.
not low enough

$20 is hardly worth it for a credit card application which will affect your credit rating, let alone $50
NAB is very good. Their Android app is excellent. Not sure/dont really care about their Apple App so yeah just saying.
Their iPad and Windows Phone app is great too. Have not used their iPhone version.
The iPhone version is fine - however, once a month it won't recognise my PIN. I change my PIN. Try and log in again and it won't accept that PIN. Try and change my PIN and it tells me my new PIN can't be the same as my old PIN, so select something new. The cycle repeats.
Contact NAB and they say the app has been updated and to download the update. But there is no update in the App Store. End up having to delete and reinstall the app.
Other than that… It's a good app.
+1 for ios app. never had problems
i have an nab classic account which i haven't used for a while but last time i used it i thought their online banking system sucked. maybe they have changed things since then.
No it hasn't changed :-)
NAB customer service is the worst of the Big 4, by a looooong way.
Funnily enough I applied for a credit card with them a week ago (unfortunately our home loan is with them).
I was told half a day….5 follow ups & a promise of I'll call you with confirmation in an hour (another 3 follow ups, over 5 day), until I finally got a Oh yes it's been approved.
I wouldn't say their Android app is anything special.
In fact on a tablet it auto-flips & locks the screen to vertical, which is useless when docked with a keyboard. This is annoying & frankly stupid.
<vent over> $50 for $30 fee is $20 in your pocket, but I'm not sure if it's worth your time & effort.
Not sure it's worth it; the credit check will show up on your history and it's only $20 in the end.
I'd only suggest going for this if you really need it, as if you're going for some lines for credit soon then adding an unnecessary one to your history may work against you.
doesn't seem like much of a deal at %19.5 interest
I have a low interest card from another bank - %13.5 - $45 yearly fee that's waived the first year. I reckon this is a better value
shrug I've had this low fee card for a year now and have never paid any interest on it as I pay the whole thing off monthly
Shrug… too much plastic. I just barter with goats :-)
Only take this up if you actually want the credit card.
The net gain is $20 over the first year (one year of fees will be compulsory) and the second year will cost you $10. (If you haven't cancelled it.)
If you plan to acquire it and then cancel it early, consider what impacts it may have on your credit rating, most definitely not worth $20.
Annual fee $30
