    Australian dollars (or any other currency), when either the merchant or its financial institution/payment processor is located or registered overseas

    i.e. they charge a foreign transaction fee of 3.4% even if you are charged is an Australian dollars but the business is located overseas. So in theory they whack you for 3.4% for buying off ebay (registered OS), Amazon (rego'd OS), Paypal (rego'd OS), etc what a dodgy practice.

      I have had this card for years and I can’t recall this ever happening. Never was surcharged for PayPal,Amazon, Ebay, etc. I don’t think this card is any different to other credit cards in this respect.

        yeah it's a in theory. they could enforce it one day.
        It shouldn't be a thing, as the cost to them (Visa/bank) is passed through to the merchant & thus you, so they're double-dipping.

    Can't believe I'm even considering this, but here we are.

    With how hard Velocity and Qantas points churning is getting, looking at these types of cards while I weather out the storm.

    Like anything Kogan, buyer beware. They once changed a due date for my payment, made it like a week or 2 earlier than the usual due cycle so as a result they deducted from my account via direct debit when the funds are not there ye. Got slapped with like a $15 dishonour fee + some crazy interest for late payment. They refuse to waive them as they said they've emailed me about the change in payment due date which I could not find.

    And as for that $400 credit, when I got it and tried to buy something and thought it'll apply automatically but apparently not and payment got deducted from my credit card. Good luck trying to cancel the order as their website hit an error when I tried to cancel and after a few hours the cancellation option is gone. No way of contacting customer support easily other than leave a message to cancel the order, by the time they got back to me the order has already shipped.
