Can pick up in store.
Used to be $348 so a $100 discount according to HN.
I Just bought the HTP522 5.1 HT Receiver 5 Speakers 1 Sub $299 @ DSE,but think it is a good price if you only need a AV receiver.

Actually $249 at JB =D
I'd rather pay the $1 more and buy from JB then buy from HN.
But if you buy it from HN, you'll feel like a professional!
But… why would you buy it twice?
this is the greatest comment ever
can someone recommend is Yamaha better or pioneer
At this pricepoint you won't notice the difference.
I bought yamaha RX-V373 around same time when jamo deal was going around. i havent' heard pioneer so can't compare but i am very happy with yamaha.
No HDMI passthrough according to review on JB
4 HDMI® Inputs with 3D, ARC, &
Standby Through ModeOops, I just read the reviews.

Yeah no HDMI passthrough, I am using the older 520 model very happy about it.
I think is the cheapest True HD audio receiver.
Cheapest price at the moment. Has been as low as $184.80 and only received 8 votes???? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/86806
The Cheapest VSX 521 is $99.
I bought that one and waited for some good speaker deals but it's still sitting in the box . Any tips on some good speaker deals for purchasers of this receiver?
Wait for this Jamo from Amazon again.
Or how about this, anyone know any good?
ACCUSOUND Reference 5.5XD
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SPEAKERS-NEW-HOME-THEATRE-CARTON-…
@superforever, FWIW I have the Accusound ref 6.6XD set from the same seller, can't recommend it highly enough (for the price point)…and the service from these guys was outstanding too! :)
Thanks just wondering how is Accusound 5.5XD compare with the Jamo S426 from Amazon?
The $257 price from Amazon last year + a good subwoofer will become around the same price as the Accusound 5.5XD.
According to Pioneer's spec sheet, it DOES have HDMI pass thru.
Pioneer's spec sheet is wrong, trust me it does not have HDMI pass-thru.
Damn I bought this from HN last week for $348
If only I waited a week!
Didn't by any chance buy it on a 28Degrees Mastercard?
Nah debit card
Check whether HN can do price guarantee or your credit card can do.
Just tell HN it is a pricing error on your book and bring it back to call off the deal.
You can try the best price guarantee option
"To be eligible for the Harvey Norman Best Price Guarantee, you must provide to the Relevant Franchisee on the date of your purchase, or within seven (7) days after the date of purchase"http://www.harveynorman.com.au/customer-service/best-price-g…
Can anyone recommend some 5.1 speakers or a receiver for someone who only has 1 input/output source (my lg-50PZ650 tv http://www.lg.com/au/tvs/lg-50PZ650-plasma-tv). I only watch things through LG Media LINK (Plex via ethernet) and regular TV through the antenna.
I don't have a DVD/bluray player or have any consoles or anything else attached to the TV.
Does a receiver seem overkill for my setup or do I still need one? Thanks
Crap amp pay extra and get the Yamaha 3D amp
This can do 3D no problem even my VSX520 can do 3D.
Can you find any Yamaha 3D amp for $249?
BTW no bluetooth by default have to buy the addon on eBay.
And pioneer cannot guarantee this will work via HDMI ARC
Can anyone recommend a cheap amp like this with bluetooth.
I currently Own a Marantz SR5001 which is 6 years old i bought it in 2007 . How is this Pioneer sound compare to 6 years old Marantz SR5001 . Very temping to buy to upgrade to TrueHD Audio and 3D Capability .
not sure if serious, comparing Marantz to entry level Pioneer
What about these refurbished ones.. For about the same price once you include shipping..
http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-RX-V373B-Refurbished-5-1-Channe…not sure if serious
Yeah was serious…
Looks like this Pioneer VSX522 model has some issues for few people… Pioneer are reselling quite a few 'refurbished'ones. The last refurbished one I got from Pioneer is going back to them given that it is still broken (and they still sent it out to me!?).
I think a lot of people would've found the setup process a pain in the arse like I did, I had a lot of issues trying to get a PS3, bluray player and xbox360 hooked up using HDMI but for some reason only two HDMI ports support audio while the other two don't. Audio seems to only work on Game and Bluray HDMI inputs, which is a pain in the ass if you bought it and it said it had 4 useable HDMI ports..
I am using VSX520 and have 360, HTPC, BluRay player connected to it and I have no issue.
May be 520 is difference.
The same at JB
