Does anyone know the drive speed of this and which drive it is?

I want to crack it open and put it in my 4 tray external enclosure.

  All the external USB3.0 3TB Seagates I've seen have had ST3000DM001s in them.
  
  I pretty much had to crack mine open — the enclosure is pretty poorly designed thermal wise, the temps were up in the high 60s and even low 70s.
  
  You'd be better off buying an actual internal and retaining some sort of warranty.

      These things do heat up quickly without active cooling. Mine didn't last for a year.
