This seems like manufactured e-waste to me.. Might be fine for a kid to use for their first gaming setup though.

I'd personally wait for the next ~$30 Logitech G305 if you wanted a good budget gaming mouse.

Honestly there's mice like the f1 dragonfly from aliexpress that blow the g305 and even "match" the gpro x superlight for $30-50 aud nowadays.
The meta has moved - good quality analog keyboards + gaming keyboards are now readily available from aliexpress

The SE Plus has double the battery life at a very small weight increase

          • @Coolkid21: Hmm seems pretty good. When my own trusty g305s die (I've still got an unopened one!) I'll def look out for these. I guess the software component plays a factor too though for my gaming mice as long as I can change dpi /customise it I don't really care. I have an mx master for work!

            • @ReaperX22: My mice never die. I've got like 6 mice now, but the upgrade itch never goes away.

          • @Coolkid21: Thanks, any keyboards? Just for regular admin and others for gaming?

            • @jolt: For gaming, the gold standard is wooting 60he or 80he. The Chinese clones would be redragon m68. Watch some YouTube about rapid trigger and socd to see if the price is worth it to you. Note that analog keyboards have gaming wins, but are still inferior to regular mechanical custom keyboards for feel/sound profile.

            • @jolt: I mean keyboards are all subjective, I wouldn't be able to give a suggestion because you might prefer a keypad, specific layout, volume knob or any set of other features.
I would recommend to look at Hipyo Tech for keyboard reviews, his catalogue is rather large and I imagine you could find something you like.

For a "gaming keyboard", the only gaming-specific feature you would look for are analogue hall effect switches, which can be found on a lot of cheap 60% keyboards. And I suppose a smaller profile for more mouse real estate.

To be fair, I’ve been using it for about a month now whereas I am happy about it.
It has good responsiveness and the shortcut keys on the side are easy to reach with your thumb.
The right side of the mouse is slightly wider than a standard one, which makes it quite comfortable to use.

  • what would you program the buttons to do?

on my mouse, I have two (non-programmable) buttons - forward and back for the web browser.

  • I got this mouse a while ago as I was desperate for a Razer Naga Trinity replacement with the radial button side panel layout. I found this button configuration to be much more intuitive for MMOs, ARPGs and MOBAs. The mouse itself seemed ok but the software is garbo so I don't use this anymore.

  • I had the rgb working with openrgb experimental on linux working, so it is addressable…..
